Casey's fantasies about Cindy giving her the house are really important

Remember how Cindy's mom wrote in an email that Cindy would divorce George except she would have to give him half of the value of the house that Cindy had paid for? We know the house is in Cindy's name only. What I think may have happened is that Cindy contemplated putting the house in Casey's name, thereby transferring ownership from Cindy, who is married, to Casey so that Cindy could divorce George without losing the half share of the house. The trouble is, Cindy couldn't trust that Casey would continue to allow her to reside there or to give the house back after the divorce. But it did occur to me that this is what was being considered and Cindy may have mentioned this to Casey. Of course, Casey's likely plan would have been to keep the house and kick her mom out.
That certainly fits with the scenario and how KC came to discuss it with Amy,but it just seems like Lee would have been more trustworthy. Then, again, perhaps Lee took GA's side.

Thank you! I did not know about the texts being put together. I had already found where I misread one of KC's texts in that she said "I'll" remember that. A great house." I had read it "I remember that. A great house."

Getting this straight and reading the posts of the other members about Ms. Plesea's email statements and Lee's statements, I tend to agree with everyone now. It appears CA may have said something to KC about her getting the house.

Thanks for helping me get straight!

I'd always wondered if - at some point in time - say around mid-March, that CA told KC she was not going to put her name on the title to avoid sharing GA's share with him in a divorce. That could have been the original reason for searches about "household weapons", etc. in that KC decided she would need to inherit the house and in order for that to happen an Unfortunate Accident or a faked murder-suicide might need to occur.

Perhaps she had planned on moving out, laying low and then reappearing to claim her "prize", but unfortunately the little incident with Caylee occurred first (whether an accident or a spiteful reaction to the fight she had with CA, whatever), and she eventually had to make it look as if she was out of town for awhile (to appease her folks and perhaps as some kind of alibi). That, and some sortd of sociopathic ADD made it impossible for her to carry things out to any kind of conclusion. She was distracted by all of the other fun things happening in her life. This girl couldn't plan an event if her life depended on it (and it does). The only thing she can do is lie.

I was going to post this and then saw that you already had! Seems to me LA would have been a better choice.

And, to put a house in someone's name, doesn't it have to be totally paid off? If not, then it would be a loan assumption and Casey would have to be credit worthy, right?

LA was already renting a house. Plus, I think the point would be to keep Casey beholden to Cindy to keep Caylee around. Cindy thought Casey had a job and after 19 years, the loan has got to be reasonably close to being paid off - you would think (unless there was a second mortgage) - that house is not an expensive house. I believe Cindy only paid around $90,000 for it to begin with.

Anyway, I think Cindy talked about doing it but she wasn't really serious about doing it, then she and George got back together. But Casey took the story and ran with it. Casey was telling friends her parents were having issues. Yes, Casey might have been planning to do away with them both. It's hard to know what was going through her mind. She seemed to have lots of ideas, but no follow through.

No mortgage company on earth would have let KC onto the deed of that house (even with todays shady dealings).

They wouldn't have just taken her word that she had a job. They would have required some proof.

I've always tried to imagine what this house thing was about....IMO, it's just like her other lies....her supposedly signing up to go to college....the supposed job...the fake emails to herself....the "nanny" she "pays a lot of money for"...and on and on.
It was all just what she wanted to be HER facade. She wanted sooo badly to be/do what everybody around her were doing or had....what other people her age had achieved at that point in their lives. She, IMO, was a "wanna be". First, the "nanny" thing was a status symbol...wealthy people had em...celebrities had em....by "having" one and paying a bunch of money to hire one made it sort of help in her desire to "wrap" everything together in a neat little "package" in her mind, so to speak.
This, along with the college...the house...the prestigeous job - which the fake emails made it look like she was "important" - a person who told "others" what they needed to do - exactly the OPPOSITE of how Cindy made her feel. By having a nanny, it almost implied she was making a huge salary to be able to afford that luxury. The going to college lie made her seem like the woman trying to "better" herself....who does it all...has it all....balancing all these things in her life...and being a single mom...having a boyfriend....cooking for him....AND finding time for partying, to boot!! She even needed to say she "managed" the shot girls at Fusion. (Reminds me of the old "Enjoli" Perfume commercial..."I can bring home the bacon...fry it up in a pan....etc"...not that I can REALLY remember it, by the way.....Oh, YES I can...LOL....seems I, too, have Casey-itis -> delusional thinking)
The house was just the icing on the cake, IMO....many parents let their kids have their houses, or take over the mortgage payments. NOW....that was the end all to her fantasy of being the woman who "had her 🤬🤬🤬🤬 together".
IMO, "allowing" Amy to live with her in the house was almost what would be considered, in her mind, a "benevolent" action on her part....share her "status" she had achieved with those who, in her mind, didn't have their lives as "together" as she had. Super Mom...Career Girl.....College Girl....Home Owner....Parties....Boyfriend.
What she saw on TV or the movies or books...IMO, had become what she felt as the be all and end allof life as it should be...the ultimate achievement in her fantasy world.

They do? Am I reading this wrong?

Do you mean this was KC telling herself all these things - right?

The drama part I could live with; the lie part notsomuch. I'm sure it would have been just a matter of time until AH got sick of KC's lies. I feel bad for her. I think she did feel let down on the day they didn't visit the house as she backs off a little in the tone of her texts back to KC. KC keeps reverting to talk about RM. AH tells KC flat out that the house issue is important as she needs to know where she is going to live. No one would imagine that they might as well have been talking to the wall.

I bet KC was "super-stealth" when it came to picking up on reactions of others when she lied to them. We have seen that. When she gets a reaction she does not expect, she changes the story to get the reaction she would like.
My point is, as Woe.be.gone said, AH's TONE changed, surely KC must have picked up on that..... hence...Hey, we are getting my Moms house!!!
What else would you expect from a sociopath, a lie is easier than losing another friend. She had been losing friends her whole life, poor baby.
Living life 5 minutes at a time can sure bite ya in the butt, how sad.

"quoting myself" - is that the technology way of talking to one's self?

your post made me laugh out loud - I think we've all done this with this case - there is so much information we've read and it's hard to keep track of who said what or texted what

kudos to you for taking a second look and discovering the error

Typically the deed of trust has a due on sale clause, where if she put it in KCs name, the bank could require the entire balance be paid. There are VERY few assumable loans these days.

I haven't looked, but is Florida a community propery state? If so, GA would have to sign off any Quit Claim deed/documents involving marital property.

oh, and i believe one of grandma shirley's emails to her sister said something like, "even if cindy moves out and gets an apartment..." so i have no doubt that cindy said something to kc that started this whole fantasy--or to grandma on the phone and kc overheard.

ita!!

I remember that! I have always felt it's very possible she may choose suicide rather than prison/DP. She does things on her own terms- She's the boss.. I can totally see her "ending it" before she'll let the state do it!

Florida is not a community property state :)

Florida is a homestead state. In Florida if the Anthonys claimed it as their homestead property and took the tax exemption, then because George and Cindy were married, George would have to sign off as her spouse. If Cindy did this tranfer without George's signature on the deed, this would be a fradulent transfer and the deed could be set a side.
