Casey's Life in Jail, Visitors; Phone Calls; Commissary etc.#3

Obviously he has finished looking over the TES documents since it appears he found the time and effort to write, cite case law, and submitted this motion.

Should make good "reading" material.

Baez citing case law? I'd like to see that!

These guys just do not get it do they? It doesn't matter a bit if the media writes a story about Casey buying anything from the commissary. However, they are likely very concerned about the visitors at the jail being publicised. Why don't they just file a straightforward motion to the judge stating exactly what they want and why they want it, cite some well researched case law, present a good solid argument and have some faith that the judge will do the right thing by them?

This is not about the commissary really is it Baez, so why say that, why inflame the argument, say you just want to protect the direction the defense is going in, because surely that's the only real reason he wants to limit the amount of information about Casey that's going out to the public.

This motion makes her look even worse in my eyes she should give a rats azz about us knowing about her food orders. We dont need this to embarass her she should be feeling embarassed about not reporting her daughter missing and her behavior after the fact. She is humiliated that we know she orders coco and crackers but not humiliated about everything else we know in regards to this crime. What a joke just a complete joke..IMO

ITA..it is a complete joke! ..and I believe that it IS ICA and not so much JB that doesn't want people to know what her *purchases* are! Makes me sick! :furious: Perhaps someone should tell JB and ICA that they have more important things to worry about..like maybe the Death Penalty?

I wonder too....would this motion keep the public from knowing 'WHO' was sending her money?..because we know that other than C & G, her *donations* have pretty much dried up, so in her mind maybe her cash flow is drying up due to people not sending money because they don't want to be identified..jmho..

eta~nort, ICA has such entitlement issues, I don't believe that she would recognize embarrassment if it smacked her in the face..... and humility..well, she just doesn't even know what that means. (neither does her mother imo)

My question is, if Casey did plea, would the state offer her anything less than LWOP ? I'm ok with LWOP, anything less would not be justice for Caylee.

I'd be ok with LWOP too..the DP is going to be an uphill battle anyway (imo) and I just don't think that the SA would settle for less than LWOP IF she were to be offered a plea. Thing is, I don't see anyway, anyhow that ICA will EVER admit to any wrongdoing and it may very well end up costing her with her very life. If that happens, even though I am not a big fan of the DP, I won't lose a minutes sleep over it. The State should give her the same consideration that she gave Caylee..and that would be none, nada, nil..imo.

If ICA didn't order anything off the menu, there wouldn't be any news to release.
If ICA didn't get any visitors, there wouldn't be any news to release.
If no one deposited money in ICA's account, there wouldn't be any news to release.
See, JB, your problem could be solved just like that.

He must be spending an awful lot of time reading blogs and forums, this one and otherwise, to know just how much attention is being paid to her butter and saltine purchases. How about he spends less time reading our stuff, and more time ... ugh, forget it. I've lost the momentum. Ad nauseum, eh?

Did y'all see this in the Today's News Section?
Casey Anthony: Casey Anthony's defense complains about public records

Motion in Casey case affecting the media

JB thinks if we see what Casey orders in jail she won't get a fair trial.
Maybe she'll be found not guilty on a cookie/cocoa technicality.

.You're hilarious

He claims it's irrelevant but is obsessing over it and filing motions...Hmm...

I would think jail food would have to be healthy, no? Of course, it's probably not all that appetizing. Too bad Casey!
Guaranteed it's healthier than Doritos and slim jims whatever it is. Probably lacks in sodium though which may explain the junk food KC chooses.

A little OT but relevant I think :) I saw a documentary on women in jail and the tricks they did to keep up normalcy. One woman bought pretzels from the commisary so she could scrape off the salt to use on her meals. You can also make eye shadow by using vaseline and rubbing the pigment off coloured magazine photos. Who knew LOL!

Not trying to get to off topic, but I just have to know. Looking at the list of what is availible for purchase {http://www.wesh.com/news/24246817/detail.html} I could not help but notice item 6262 Bago Mayonnaise for $0.85. This led me to question - Do the inmates have access to a refridgerator, or do florida heat laws not apply to open jars of mayo and food poisoning. I searched google for "Bago Mayonnaise" and it just returns a buch of MP3 downloads. Just baffled at what you can get as an imate!

It's probably in a little foil package like you get on trains and fast food places and doesn't need refrigeration.

I saw that too!---and with this economy....could be benefitical to same money....

One more thing, her lawyers should tell her that she has bigger worries than us knowing what she snacks on..they should in fact be defending her case instead of fighting to keep her menu from being observed. REALLY????

I so agree....haven't they argued this before and that silly little sunshine law got in the way? Anyways she should get used to the lack of privacy...as there is no privacy in jail....:furious:

Maybe I'll donate enough to KC's account so she can buy a box of Smarties. Blue is back and oh so fashionable. Also cheaper than vaseline. LOL!

Hmmm, Baez Convinced Casey to give up parental visits for privacy. Why not give up the snacks and visitors too!!!!

IMO, they aren't going to try for a plea deal. The newest two attorneys to visit Casey are evidence of that. Richard Gabriel is an expert on jury selection. Dorothy Sims is an expert on direct and cross examination of medical experts. One thing I thought really interesting on Dorothy Sims website was this: "she is available to instant message suggested questions to lead counsel as he or she conducts the cross examination in real time while Dorothy listens to the testimony of the defense expert." Wow, I never realized things like this went on.

The defense team wouldn't need the help of either one of these unless they were preparing for a trial.

O/T - I am such a nerd too, I did the same thing last night trying to fall asleep when all of sudden I found myself wide awake and wondering about the gas can incident on June 24, 2008. I can't remember if anyone has asked George where he thought Caylee was that day since KC was at the house by herself. Sorry for the O/T, lol, I'm going to find the proper thread to read about it.

Who is paying for Richard Gabriel, jury selection expert? IIRC, Judge Perry held no truck with jury selection experts.

If that were true, how does that square with the perp declaring indigence?
