Casey's Life in Jail, Visitors; Phone Calls; Commissary etc.#3

We've heard a lot about ICA's eating habits in jail, and even her [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68881"]daily routine[/ame], but I was wondering if anyone has heard any reports of her behavior in jail, especially now with the trial ongoing.

Is she a model prisoner?

Difficult to handle?

Constantly sedated?

Just wonder if anyone's heard anything, I haven't personally seen any reports of this nature.

Thanks!

My guess would be that since she is in protective custody, she is no problem to the guards at all. She just passes time (reading files on her case, etc.) until her trial is over. She is fine right now because she thinks she's going to be acquitted JMO. My opinion also is that she receives medication on occasion when she has those so-called "panic attacks."

Are her letters from jail since the trial began available to the public, or will they be? Perhaps this is a question for the legal questions thread...?

I haven't heard anything first hand lately, but IMO she's been sedated since she got sick in court that one day. She's been very laid back and unemotional since. My dh thinks she looks confident and wonders if it's because she believes she will be aquitted. Per CM, he will be walking out of court with her on his arm. :loser:

Yes, they have been released by the SAO and yes we have copies upstairs in the resource threads. Also you can read the many threads we discussed, rather laughed about them. And don't forget, we also have a pleather of emails CA wrote too. Just do a search and have a stiff drink before reading, you'll need a couple. :floorlaugh:

According to reports, and I can't remember who stated it, she is a model prisoner.

As to her sedated, medical records are not released, by IMHO she isn't.

My husband told me in his jail when he has to move PC inmates to court or even to medical, the whole entire jail is on a lockdown until that prisoner reaches their designated area. He said it would be him and 4 other officers that would escort them. There can be no movement anywhere. I wonder if this is the same in her jail. It must make her feel important and protected! :banghead:

I wonder if out of all of her myriads of friends, will ANY of them ever visit her, once she is locked for a long time.

Kinda the same. ICA cannot be in an area when other inmates are present. She is locked down, not the others. The area she is housed in is protective custody so she really has no opportunity to be present with normal inmates except for the few visitor visits she had with CA/GA/LA. There was one visit she had with GA where she had to be removed from the phone because another inmate was present or walking through the area. That was funny.

He was telling me, if he brings a pc inmate to court and they have to exit the jail that all movements are stopped. He said there are inmates like kitchen workers or cleaners that do move around the jail freely. He said that on the loud speakers it will say lockdown, lockdown pc movement. He said he has to wait till he gets an ok from each tier officer saying all inmates are secure, before they can even walk in the hall with the prisoner.

At one time there was a drawing of the area of protective custody that ICA is housed in. From what I have read from the guards depos and seeing the drawing, the area or wing she is in is pretty much away from all the general population of inmates. I know when she takes her shower, the other PC inmates are locked down, they go one at a time to the shower area. Her cell is apparently in direct eye view and contact of the guards desk.

At our local jail, the PC area is basically just a wall separating them from the general population. At the federal court here, inmates are held in the county jail and they are mixed with the general population unless under protective custody and that is in an area completely separate from the general population.

I wish I could remember where I saw that drawing.

I got to ask him how it is in his jail. He told me they are extreme safety measures for the PC inmates. There are stabbings and attacks almost everyday in his jail. My poor hubby goes through a great deal of stress as a corrections officer.

Do we have the log of her jail visits by her attorneys/mitigators etc, since the trial began? If so can someone kindly point me in that direction?

I'm interested to see if they rehash, or should I say, rehearse with her outside of court at this point in the proceedings.

We don't but if you read upthread here, you will find the direct link to The Caylee Daily site who does, Last time I looked, they only had her visitor logs posted for April, early May. I don't go there unless someone posts here the logs have been updated. This site also keeps track of her commissary purchases too.

What does PC mean?

  • #1,219
pc: protective custody

pc: protective custody

OK, that makes sense now. I Googled, but didn't come up with anything that I thought matched quite right. :)
