It's not the fact that they stayed at a hotel and went out to dinner that irks us, Chilly; it's the swankiness of the establishments chosen.

Shoot, my boss has worked behing the scenes in Hollywood and is friends with several celebrities; he's also a multi-millionaire. Even he doesn't stay at the Ritz when he travels to Orlando.

I do not know the reasons for George and Cindys restaurant & hotel choices.

But, I am unwilling to judge or condemn them for THAT without more information.

These people are going to have to get through Christmas and a funeral very soon. Whatever horrific mistakes they have made, I think either one would have given their own life to save Caylee. Everytime I see them on television they look more broken...Cindy's slump & eyes say it all.

I have seen a lot of things over the years in searches, and that even affected me to think of her little head with her hair still on it and her little mouth duct taped shut. It made me ill and they celebrate with a meal.

I need to quit before I get in trouble on this...........

Listen, I am not defending what the grandparents have said or done...it is beyond me what they are thinking...I just don't understand all the arguing over hotels and dinner.

I am no friend of the Anthony family but I would bet anything that CNN/Larry King set them up in the hotel and the dinner. They are not paying for anything from their own pockets.

This is customary to do so when they book guests. Not all guests get this type of treatment believe me but high priority guests, guests that everyone else wants. This is part of the negotiations. You can bet Greta, Geraldo, and others tried to get them on their shows but LKL won out.

It's likely LKL won out not because of the benefits offered, like the hotel and dinner, but because of how much time they were promised and how the host would treat them.

Oh, save it! A spin on the treatment of WFTV doesn't excuse the fact they are all of the sudden living far above their means (when supposedly in all this debt due to their daughter) and dining in fine restaurants (no matter what they choose to eat)...not to mention all the while ignoring the fact their beloved granddaughter's body was found less than 3 blocks from their home yesterday while rotting in a garbage bag with duct tape on her! :furious:

It is an insult to the memory of Caylee and a slap in the face to people who spent last night out in what was almost their backyard sifting through hours of dirt to find anything to bring justice to her. The least they could do is pretend to grieve for her. :furious:

The station or their sources are not to blame for reporting it. Cindy and George are to blame for acting like they could not care less after the repeated attempts to thwart the investigation in the first place. GMAB!

Well said. I completely agree. Regardless of who paid, it is incomprehensible that two people who just heard their beloved granddaughter's remains had probably been found, chose to spend that night indulging at any restaurant, much less a pricey, luxurious one. It's a disgusting display of narcissism and utter disregard of the respect that Caylee deserves. I highly doubt that most people , if put in this situation, would feel up to getting all dressed up and appearing in an upscale restaurant, much less feel like consuming anything, short of a few stiff drinks. It only shows me, once again, just exactly who comes first in this family, and sadly, who never even mattered at all. These people are vile and pathetic.

$300 room at the RC in orlando: that is pretty much their standard room, I think... nothing to write home about. I would think that since LE is the reason they couldn't go home, that the county covered the cost of the hotel, no? How much you want to bet that LE was right outside their door the whole time...

They are not grieving just yet. They are looking at how they can make more $$. When KC is sent to prison, the cameras and the money stops THEN they will grieve. But I have my doubts who they will actually be sad for. Not being ugly about it, but they have shown their true colors, especially now. I feel so bad for baby Caylee, but she is safe now and away from these monsters that she obviously loved very much.

I truly hope these two are charged and spend some time in jail.

Those people will NEVER grieve...........they are MONSTERS just like the monster they raised.........they are evil beings and they will keep trying to get money until the day they die. The one thing about evil is the stronger evil will destroy the weaker evil.............so look for more destruction within that family.

Maybe so. It still doesn't explain them going out for a nice dinner within hours of being told their little granddaughter's body was just found. Whoever paid for the room/dinner, I don't care. It's the fact that they went out for some fine dining while the rest of the country was glued to their computers or TV, sick to the stomach and unable to eat after hearing the condition Caylee was found in. I was one of them. JMHO.
