I understand, and agree, especially after working in the high-end corporate travel biz for years. It's really about where CNN/LKL or whomever has negotiated rates, etc. Still, it's unfortunate how it appears.

IMO, they shouldn't be a high profile guest of any media talking head to begin with. Time and place for everything. While your grandbaby is lying in a morgue is not one of them.

If this were just another normal day, I'd agree with you. But it's not, they had just learned that Caylee's remains were found dumped in the woods with duct tape over her mouth. I'm sorry, but I don't care if I were offered the Taj Mahal to stay and eat in, my grief at that kind of news would have me in bed incoherent with grief. Not going out for a nice dinner. JMHO.

Norman's offers private dining to its patrons. People have to eat. The Anthony's seem almost pathologically fixated on the need to eat during periods of emotional duress. Maybe whoever paid for the hotel also arranged for a private dinner to be prepared for the Anthony's. We don't know if any of this was their idea and we don't know if they even ate their food.
Now if we were talking about Casey-- I'm pretty certain she would be giggling and raiding the mini-bar, jumping on the bed and getting spa treatments. I don't think this was what the Anthony's night looked like at all. I have no doubt they had a very difficult night last night.

They also have room service - wouldn't that be more appropriate for a "bereaved family" if they didn't know months ago the baby was dead?

I think they would have eaten there because it’s the hotel restaurant. Whatever they ate I’m sure was flavorless to them.

I have no fondness for the behavior of the Anthony parents in staunchly refusing to admit that their daughter was anything less than a perfect mother, but the reality of finding Caylee’s body (and in a location they’ve driven past hundreds of times since June) has got to have hit them like a ton of bricks. Christmas will forever bring the reminder that it is when little Caylee’s body was found.

For that, I can spare them a bit of compassion.

It should be obvious to all of us by now that the A's don't always make the best choices when it comes to how their actions might appear. While I think the whole Ritz/Dinner thing is in poor taste (regardless of who paid for it) I'd bet they would both tell you that they'd sleep on a bed of hot coals and eat dirt every night for the rest of eternity if it meant they could have Caylee back.

maybe this has been said, but why wouldn't they stay with LA or with their many friends and supporters? or maybe Cindy's mom? If the really believe so much that she was alive yesterday, like she said on LK, then to them, didn't Caylee JUST die? wouldn't you want comfort from family members?

I agree that CNN would have done this while they were in California, but this was AFTER they left. This was AFTER their interview, and when they returned home to Orlando, so it doesn't seem as likely to me that CNN did that last night. MOO

Yep, Meagain, you're right. Karma is a real b*tch. What is going around will most definitely come back around to bite the appropriate people in the azz. We may even be seeing the beginning of it with the news that OCSO is now looking into obstruction charges against CA ad GA. <fingers crossed>

We don't know that they didn't have room service thru the restaurant which, again, prides itself on offering private dining experiences for its patrons.
I agree that the A's have probably had, at minimum, a subconscious understanding that Caylee is dead for some time. This doesn't make me angry. Nor does it make me think I have the right to monitor and judge their eating patterns or where they sleep. I feel really badly for them and will continue to do so unless and until LE provides evidence of a compelling reason not to.

It is just beyond me....even if they are still denying that it is Caylee, after a cross country flight, who has the energy or wherewithall to go out to dinner. My parents (same age as CA & GA) fly from NJ to FL and are in no mood to go out to dinner. They couldn't have called room service??? pizza???

Imagine having to wait on them!?! I would have refused the table! Could you imagine taking tip money from them. Keep your money, go up to your $300 room and realize the gravity of the situation!
