This is in her name...unless there is a POA, this is her and her alone. The IRS would have named joint names if the paperwork had come to them in any other manner. This money went to Casey.

I've always wondered about the tax consequences of the money received from the photos. When everyone was trying to account for the money, I assumed a good portion would have been for taxes. Ooops, guess the DT didn't think about that.

Well he has already had her declared indigent, so what's to stop him having her declare bankruptcy too and she/he can avoid the IRS.
They both have a lifetime habit of avoiding debt.

Declaring bankruptcy doesn't protect you from the long hairy arm of the IRS

I am assuming she paid JB's legal fees since JB is the one who went to the Anthony's and obtained the photos.

ETA: I just noticed on the lien that it shows Casey Marie Anthony and her residence as 522 Simpson Road in Kissimmee (Baez Law Firm). So, I'm assuming the check(s) went straight to his office.

I would have thought that there was lawyers for both sides involved, that should have known and mentioned that is was taxable.

From remembering the the Richard Hatch/Survivor tax problems I am sure the network probably had it in whatever type contract was signed signed.

Be interesting to know what lawyer represented ICA for that transaction.

Whoever paid out all that money..... (ABC) CBS) has to account for the expenditure of funds. So, if nothing else, we will get an accounting of the money and what went to who, when and where. I wouldn't wanna be JB at this point!!!
