With Susan Smith I think it was because LE was grilling her. Why on earth LE isn't allowed to grill Casey just blows my mind. I don't think there should be a law like this. Anyone with nothing to hide would be BEGGING for LE to talk to them to help them. This family (minus bro.Lee) seem to be a little odd to me. Maybe like they feel guilty about something. Not anything about Caylee because I don't think they are involved but like some deep dark family secret or something..it's just weird.

A sociopath will generally deny any wrong



doing...or will assign blame elsewhere. Good question about Susan Smith. I wish I had the answer.

What is your opinion of for example, a mother having cyclothymic disorder and the next generation, her child, having full blown BPD? I was reading that this can be passed down in this order genetically from one generation to the next.

What would happen if they stopped the enabling cold turkey?

I wouldn't doubt this a bit. After all, Casey was bragging to her brother in a myspace comment that she and her mother had "officially taught Caylee how to take shots"...

Self medicating is a big possibility, but I don't believe they would have known exactly what they would be self medicating for.

Alcohol is one choice that we've seen.

Also, some speculate about drugs. There are street drugs that sell for $100/pill.

From the view of one psychologist interviewed today, you don't corner these types. You let them talk about themselves because this is what is most important to them. If you corner them, back them against the wall, you'll be butting heads with them.

cyclothymia is a slower cycling form of bpd. It is a facet in the gem of bpd...and a different manifestation of the same genetic predisposition imhoo
