Ok thank you, was wishful thinking on my part.

No. They lack empathy for others. its really complicated and generally un treatable.

I have read about it for a few years now, and Casey is like Scott Peterson who was said to be a psychopath. I think sociopaths/psychopaths are pretty much the same thing though. Most sociopaths are not intelligent, end up in prison pretty young, and have criminal records early on. Casey has no record up until now, was smart, and cunning.

Oh I think she is cunning...and Scott was always descibed as a sociopath. Not a psychopath. They are very different.

I know very very little about mental illness etc. Can you medicate someone who is a sociopath and they snap back to reality? My question is if they medicate her with the proper medications will it make her feel remorse and maybe even confess to where Caylee is?

No, it's a personality disorder...anti-social

Another wild theory: Maybe Casey killed a ZFG so she could blame it on her (Caylee's death). If a ZFG is missing, it is because she is "running from the law."

Okay not very different but different in a blurred kind of way. See below

Both the psychopath and sociopath fail to feel remorse or guilt. They appear to lack a conscience and are completely self-serving. They routinely disregard rules, social mores and laws, unmindful of putting themselves or others at risk.

Of the more distinguishing traits, some argue the sociopath to be less organized in his or her demeanor, nervous and easily agitated – someone likely living on the fringes of society, without solid or consistent economic support. A sociopath is more likely to spontaneously act out in inappropriate ways without thinking through the consequences.

Conversely, some argue that the psychopath tends to be extremely organized, secretive and manipulative. The outer personality is often charismatic and charming, hiding the real person beneath. Though psychopaths do not feel for others, they can mimic behaviors that make them appear normal. Upon meeting, one would have more of a tendency to trust a psychopath than a sociopath.

You're in correspondence with Lee? Are you a family friend or something?

It never crossed my mind to try to contact Anthony family members. I figured they have enough on their plates--especially Lee.

*shrug*

Lee is on the list to visit this week--that is public knowledge.

No I am not a family friend...all of my tips go directly to Lee as the tiplines are very difficult to get through on and there has been no co-operation fron LE for anything I have to say. It's in the back threads.

Lol, I'm mainly going on what was discussed at Websleuths and other forums. Most were giving all sorts of links and definition of psychopaths.

I hope this works. It's a map showing Bella Vida Blvd in relation to the Amscot where Casey's car was found and her parent's House.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=bella+vida+blvd&daddr=7501+E+COLONIAL+DR+to:4937+HOPESPRING+DR&hl=en&geocode=&mra=ls&sll=28.512533,-81.204106&sspn=0.140282,0.219727&ie=UTF8&ll=28.526924,-81.218147&spn=0.140263,0.219727&z=12>

sorry about the copy and paste. Also Colonial is supposed to be one word without a space. For some reason I can't fix it in the link. Way past my bedtime!

She is a sociopath. Sociopath are either born that way or, there is some thought now days, that they become that way through early childhood trauma.
They can't be cured but they can be "controlled" with the right meds and counseling. The problem being that most sociopaths think they are smarter than their psychologist, therapist, ect. They don't think anything is wrong with them and they don't take their medication as a rule.

The immunity deal or partial immunity deal is intriguing. Immunity deals are usually brought up when there are TWO or MORE people involved. They are used to get one person to "turn" on the other. IF Casey is the only one at fault here - why on earth is that even being brought up? Now I know the State Atty's office said today they are not going to entertain immunity for ANYONE in this case. But what does that tell you? We all concede that LE knows a hecka of a lot more than we do and Baez does too. So if Baez is asking for immunity - which we don't know - tells me there are other "not so innocent" players here.

Maybe they have found the babysitter and SHE wants immunity.

Don't get me wrong - I don't in any way believe that Casey is going to get away with a temporary insanity defense. No way. And the more this goes circus plays out the more I really believe that is wasn't just an accident either. Its just this immunity thing today - I think was more to scare the GP's than Casey - Baez is sitting on some info. He is probably the most likely one to have asked for it. Maybe there is a letter and just maybe that letter is very telling in its content. IMO there isn't a set of GP's out there that would go THAT long without at least hearing that child's voice when they were so involved (he77 - they were basically raising that child) in her life and then she was just wisked away. Now add to that their crazy rants and silly, almost non-chalant excuses of serious indicators that something horrible has happened to that child. Doesn't make any sense.

Right. A psychopath might be your manipulative upstanding educated charismatic boss or preacher and a sociopath the former destructive troubled teen who ended up in prison for robbing a gas station and beating girlfriends at age eighteen.

I'm in profiling right now and halfway through my end of term paper. If Casey were a psychopath, she would be acting completely distraught and panicked because that is how people expect her to act. She would have learned that emotion by now.

I can't believe you just wrote that!! There really is no treatment...best to locate them in your lives and stay far, far away. Yes, they are all around us.
