Hi sleuthers,

I've been afk for two days and realized I missed a lot. last I heard, Casey was to show up in court today with baez. Is the still the case? Also, is there a presser today?

There was talk about a preliminary hearing today (8/6/08) because Casey was entitled to a hearing after being in jail for 21 days and not being charged. If this happened, it meant the Defense Attorney's could bring in all LE and question them about the investigation.

Casey was charged Tuesday on charges so this STOP a hearing based on the 21 day law, this is different from the 33 day law.

How often do you figure Casey "stopped by" the house while she was having bonding time with Caylee away on a mini-vacation out of town on a job interview?

If George's new lie story is to be believed, Casey must have been at the house between 6pm on Sunday June 22nd and 10am on Tuesday 24th when he called the police to report a burglary.

She then returned to the house later that afternoon to "pick up clothes" (actually, that part I almost believe. It can't be easy living on someone's couch).

Sounds like Casey treated the family home as a combo 7-11/U Store It.

I don't believe the story Local6 is reporting. They should produce the actual "guest" card in their story.

Let's say Local6 is correct, that would mean that on June 17th, someone went to look at the apartment. I would then say, it's Casey that went to look at that particular apartment, filled out the guest card as Zaneida, for "evidence" to add to her where she left Caylee theory!

Caylee was last seen on June 16th as far as we know, based on what was determined. We know Cindy had Caylee on June 15 to the nursing home and probably slept at Cindy's house that night and was there the morning of June 16th.

Now I am thinking the timeline is now from June 16 to June 17th.

Patty... just curious, why don't you believe the story? It totally fits with everything we've heard so far (unless I'm missing something-which is entireley possible!).

I haven't heard anything yet about a hearing or presser, other than a court appearance would happen within three weeks.

RE: the gas cans.

If I remember correctly, I heard George on Greta last night, say that Casey's gas gauge on her car was messed up and that is why they had the extra gas laying around. So that is why he thought nothing of her having the gas cans in her car.

Can anyone confirm???

I know it is so frustrating not to have all of the details!!! I just trust that LE and the FBI are making sure that they have all of their ducks in a row, I would hate for any little loophole to arise and prevent Caylee from getting the justice that she deserves!!

I agree... and I know they have their reasons.. I just respectfully wish I was privy! :crazy:

I believe Casey is "Zanny" Casey went to those apartments and tried to set up an identity for the person that "has" Caylee because Casey knows that Zanny does not exist. She wrote with her opposite hand to deter them from handwriting samples.

Out on a limb here...

What if George really did want to see if the gas cans were in the trunk on the 24th? Made up the lie (family is good at this) on needing something to work on Cindy's car. Casey didn't want him in the trunk. Kept putting him off. George keeps insisting and he finally goes out to the trunk. He indeed finds the gas cans in addition to the cans he finds pizza boxes AND also Caylee. Now George has a serious dilemma. What to do? Granddaughter is dead. Daughter responsible (accidental or not). Being ex LE he knows that Casey is going to go down for this. He doesn't want to lose both Caylee and Casey. So George tells Casey that they are going to get rid of the body. Which they do. They took seperate cars. Drop the body somewhere. George begins to bury it. Then dear ole ex-LE dad tells Casey to take her car and park it at the Amscot but leave her purse in it and have someone else pick her. Which was Tony. George wanted to possibly make this to look like a car jacking that has gone bad. Then dad tells Casey to disappear for a while and he will take care of the care and the rest of the family. Hence, Cindy constantly in contact with Casey.

Something I find extremely odd...how Cindy explained Casey's borrowing of the neighbor's shovel...to clear out BAMBOO?

Casey does not strike me as the type of girl to do yard work of her own accord, even going as far as to borrow a shovel. Even if the alleged bamboo was her "chore", I could totally see her saying "Oh well, shed's locked, no shovel, don't have to do it now" in that teenager sort of way.

Of course, I don't live in FL, so I don't know the bamboo situation...is it part of daily life to remove bamboo? Or was this just another example of Cindy coming up with an asinine explanation for Casey's strangedoings?

Still bothering me: What exactly WAS Casey's job? Surely someone would have come forward by now as a co-worker...and clearly no job= no money to pay "the Nanny". I hardly think the money she stole from Amy and her mother was used to pay "ZG."

One more thing - on her older myspace comments, around Valentine's Day 2007, Casey definitely made references to her current BF being in Iraq...so there's yet another one on her list of ex-boyfriends!

These two things bothered me also- the bamboo thing and the job thing. Personally I think she worked as a prostitute or was involved in drugs somehow. That would explain why she was "working" at Universal but didn't really work there. And I believe Lee actually said "were you up there for a work thing" in one of the interviews. That wording always bothered me.
As far as the military thing goes, earlier there was some speculation as to whether or not Caylees dad could've been in the military and the myspace comments could expand that assumption.

I don't think she said this last night, but at some point, Cindy said the bamboo would hurt Caley's feet, so Casey's determination to remove the bamboo right away was further evidence of Casey's concern for her child. Hmm. Anyway, all I've seen on the date the shovel was borrowed is "mid-June." If Casey is claiming she dropped Caley off with ZG on the 16th, after she left the Anthony house, and ZG took off with her that day, it would be interesting to know exactly what day she borrowed the shovel. If it was after the 16th, it seems odd she would be trying to remove bamboo while her child is missing.
