I have to admit that hearing this, makes me think Cindy did not know that Caylee was missing.

Cindy's behavior since has been strange. She is strange. BUT I think most of all she is a grandmother in SERIOUS denial. Casey has been a screw up all of her life and Cindy has bailed her out. Now she still is in major denial!

Casey is one sick GIRL!! She was so "calm" WHAT MOTHER could be that detached about a child missing.

Poor Cindy. I don't think she will ever believe that Caylee is dead unless she see's a body!

Those still won't work for me and I am not downloading an activex to hear them. Guess I will have to wait.

I found it very odd and convenient how Casey knew the name and exact spelling of Zenaida's full name off the top of her head at a time like that.

I think you could be right here, Cindy may have threatened Casey telling she was going to call the police and report the car and the money missing and have her arrested. And since Cindy followed through and the police were coming Casey knew she was going to be questioned about Caylee's disappearance and either she alone or together they came up with the kidnapping story.

No wonder the Brother doesn't seem too eager to talk he was there and he knows what happened in between phone calls...

yep, this is how i see these calls also.....man o' man, & the GM even stated the car smelled like a dead body....maybe releasing these tapes will force someone (Casey or Cindy) to cough up everything they really know....Nancy Grace will have a field day with this, tonight....

I did too, but then I began to think about it and she had plenty of time to memorize it. She had to know that sooner or later she would be asked that question. She seemed prepared for it. Way toooooooooooo calm.

I think Cindy knows but is in denial (first stage of grieving) until they find Caylee
I agree with this. In the first call it sounds like Cindy finally, after a month, was able to confront Casey about stealing the car and the money and then, when she kept pushing Casey to tell her where Caylee was, Casey admitted that she'd been "missing" for a month. Cindy is an emotional wreck in that second call, there's no way she had anything to do with Caylee's disappearance. I don't think she's covering for Casey now, I think she really NEEDS to believe that Casey didn't do anything to harm Caylee. Her mind can't accept the alternative.

Cindy reports the vehicle as stolen on the 30th. She said she just got it back from the impound.

Cindy says in the first 911 cal that Casey and Caylee have been missing for a MONTH and that she stole the car on June 30th. She just found Casey today but the granddaughter is not with her.

So did she come back on June 30th when GM was on vacation. They came home to the car gone??? I am confused

Listening to Casey is surreal. "I've been looking for her and have gone through other resources, which is stupid."

She sounds so blandly reasonable, as if she was talking about a missing wallet.

It is very, very disturbing.

I listened to both calls and whew. Cindy says Casey has been missing for a month. Casey not Caylee and they just found her. Cindy said Casey stole the auto on June 30th, Casey said its her car. Casey even said she spoke to Caylee that day.

My head is reeling too. These calls confirm IMO there was fall out between the 2 women. I believe Cindy didn't feel any urgency until they got the notice about the car.
George brought the car back and it stunk to high heaven, so they both went into overdrive trying to find Casey. They get the piece of paper with Amy's number, call Amy and Cindy bolts out the door to go pick her up. Meanwhile, George calls Lee and tells him to get over fast because Cindy may just nut up on Casey. Lee gets there and Cindy and Casey arrive back. Pretty much all hell breaks loose and Cindy goes outside to call LE while Lee speaks with Casey. It doesn't get any better at this point because
Casey breaks down and tells Lee she hasn't seen Caylee in 31 days. Cindy gets off the phone with LE, comes back to the confab and finds out what Casey has been saying.
That's when she makes the other call to LE.

Yes, Cindy does sound pitiful and she is struggling with herself to admit that Casey did something to Caylee.

I'll say it again - Whew.

OME

I also no longer think Cindy had anything to do with Caylees disappearance. I actually felt sorry for Cindy when I heard the call. Why is she defending her daughter so much now? She said the car smells like there was a dead body in it, now she says it was rotten pizza. They had the car for two days (IIRC) before they found Casey. I think she went off the deep end.

yep exactly. This is going to kill her when the truth does all come out and they discover the smell is from Caylee's body. I pray they at least find her to have closure.

I hate when that happens, sorry.
I want to know your thoughts!
For me, this PROVES she did not know Caylee was missing, I get that, it also cements my opinion that she is hurriedly trying to cover her after the fact..
Note she says the car smells like there was a dead body in it, not "GP picked up the car and it had pizza and maggots.."
There was never rotting pizza in that car, it was in their garbage and for me that very lie means they are involved in covering up what has happened to Caylee, imo, I maintain they did not know until this day..

after hearing the second 911 call, my view on cindy has changed. there's some serious heartbreak and panic in that voice, imo, and i feel sorrier for her right now than i ever have.

listening to casey though!@$%%#@)#!{ WTF. so calm, so cool, so collected, so detached!@! did you hear the part where she said something like "I received a call today... from a number that is now disconnected". And you can just tell she's lying, making it up on the spot and having no problems doing it. IMO. arrgh. :furious:

I COMPLETELY AGREE!

I feel so bad for GM listening to her voice,.. she is truly upset! I always knew she was but I think now after hearing that,...she is TRULY hoping that Casey was telling the truth otherwise she will have to face facts that Casey killed Caylee,... :(

I have not yet listened to the tapes, I did earlier watch Cindy testify on the stand a video I had not already seen. She testified that the car had been towed on the 30th of Jun a Mon and she then received the tow letter on the 15th of July a Tues. She also said she picked Casey up at 7pm drove her to the Police Station and they were closed. She also had stated to the effect there was a confusion about which municipality this may have occured on of the alleged 1st call, then she said she would go home and call from there for OPD. She also said her son Lee had found out about the car and was waiting for her there. Once at home, Casey was in her room per Cindy and heard her mom making the second call. Interesting, Cindy said she waited in the garage for the Police and her son was with Casey in Casey's room. Here is the video link. Cindy is real itchy on the stand.

It's obvious Cindy is ashamed of her daughter you can tell by the way she didn't even want the dispatcher to ask her questions about Casey.. the minute Cindy smelled the stink in the Pontiac she knew it was a dead body smell. She knew exactly what that smell was. Right now she is in denial and when she shakes her denial her life is going to come crashing down on her so hard. I hope she seeks professional help.

Did everyone have to download that active x control? I am so frustrated I could scream!!

Blink, I cannot comment on it until I can hear it. If I am wrong about Cindy...I don't have a problem admitting it.

Cindy reports the vehicle as stolen on the 30th. She said she just got it back from the impound.

I dont understand that exactly, unless Casey took the car while they were away? I thin she was just threatening her to tell her where Caylee was, not for a minute did she really think she was "missing"
I am truly sorry for her pain, but I truly want her to do the right thing now. Enabling her daughter has caused her grandbaby's death, can this stop now? God Bless
