SS- I did! For obstruction at least, probably later with disposal of evidence (body?)

They don't NEED Casey to tell them when Cindy knows!!! She knows it all, imo.

If they put Cindy in solitary...wouldn't take her long to crack. She is much weaker than her daughter.

I would so love it if this judge said he needed to take this under advisement and let them know his answer in a few days.

Bet the gma and daughter would be cryin' all over the place! LOL, and her attorney would jump up and object!

Gpa being ex LE would definitely know what that smell was.

Good point SuziQ. Do you think the family put the bag of trash in the car to cover up the smell. LE said they asked for the trash bag. You would think that they would be able to look through that trash to see if there are any dates listed anywhere (i.e. old newspapers, receipts,etc.). That would show around the time the trash was put in the bag. Was it put in by family or Caylee? If Casey put it there, it may help to pinpoint the last time she used the car.

Any thoughts?

If by a miracle this judge lets her out on bail, Then could the police just pick her up and arrest her with murder.,even though there is no body,
plus bring the granmother in as accomplice.:furious:

Ok give her bond 10 Million dollars!!!!! Ole Cindy wont be able to come up with that!!!

Defense, cont: We must follow the rules. I'll take it a step further. I would ask, if you are looking at extra conditions, outside the law, I ask that you consider SHE possibly holds the key to finding her daughter.

Judge: You see that's part of the problem with your argument. The leverage is actually going the other way - Casey is using her silence as leverage to get out of jail. Anyway, go ahead.

Defense: I respectfully disagree, let me explain further. I think it would be advantageous for us, her family, everyone to talk to her to assist in search. That's impossible right now, I can't take her in my car to the places she's been. I can't stress enough, she is not charged with any offense that relates to kidnapping, etc. I argue that some good can come from her release. The law entitles her to a right to a bond. You can take that further and apply conditions to her release. There is no evidence that she caused harm to herself and you can impose things to prevent that.

Prosecution:

I haven't made any statements about court denying her bond, so he is attributing statements to me I haven't yet made. We have explored having her held through various measures, but this is not the type of third degree felony that should go through the normal rules. The court is aware of the circumstances under which you can consider how much bond to set. Once you make that determination you have to look at nature of offense. She is charged with neglect and perjury - that's not enough to determine the appropriate bond. That's why we brought this evidence forward - Ms. Anthony is a POI in what is looking to be a homicide investigation. Given that, the info that there was a body at some point in the car - they have sent the evidence to the lab to find out if it was Caylee's body in the car. The risk of flight increases exponentially now that Casey knows she's the POI and has heard the evidence they have.

Even though she has ties to community, I could put facts out there - her ties are very tangential - she has no reason to stay here. If her family feels they hold sway, they apparently have not been able to tell them about Caylee other than lies.

I love this lady DA. She keeps saying 'homicide,' 'possible homicide,' investigation. Bet Casey is sweatin' it now!

Grrr

Do bond hearings normally take this long?

Why isn't anyone here SCREAMING for them to arrest the grandmother except me?!?!?!

I did a couple of pages ago... well, I didn't actually SCREAM, but said maybe Caylee died while in the care of both gma and Casey... (or maybe just in the care of gma...?)

I agree - arrest the gma!

At least now we know why Cindy is so angry. She thought everyone would buy her sob story and no one would question it. When people questioned her she didn't have answers and that made her very angry. Can you imagine if she is on with Greta tonight she was angry last night I can only imagine how mad she will be tonight. She told Greta she would be on again tonight. IIRC

IF they were to do that, they BETTER have some solid evidence, or they're toast!

JMHO

I missed the part where a bag of trash was put in the vehicle? These people live in a prominent neighborhood, I'm sure they have garbage pick-up.

What?

What we have is mother who let her child go missing. There is evidence that the child is no longer alive, and she would have been the only person responsible for the child during that time frame. You have to consider all of this.

In fact, Ms. Anthony has not been charged. She has been arrested for neglect and perjury. The charging decision hasn’t been made – this is an ongoing investigation. We want her held on bond high enough to ensure her appearance before court. Members of sheriff want her held, no bond. You can set whatever bond you deem reasonable. Our opinion a bond of 500K+ would not be unreasonable, and we want her access to the community restricted so she “galavant” as she seems to have done while her daughter was missing.

this is really getting out of hand with all the wild speculation and gossip, these threads are very hard to follow lately...

couldn't the court hold Casey if they thought she would commit suicide if released? they may use that....being a danger to herself or others? Would she have to be held in a mental health facility rather than jail?

WOW, this was one wild bail hearing. I bet Cindy never thought all of this would come out...thought she could bs her way out on the witness stand. Good luck, better people than her have tried.
