*And the final thing is this: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IF SHE IS IN JAIL OR NOT? WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO BE OUT OF JAIL TO TELL WHAT SHE KNOWS? THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD!

I believe the parents know in their hearts that she will be charged in this little girl's death. This may be Casey's last chance of freedom...their chance to be with her. There is NO OTHER REASON. Let's see how long it will take GM and Casey to find Caylee...wasn't that the point of letting her out afterall.

I am trying to catch up on this thread but I did watch the hearing online. Here are a few things that I have to point out before I forget!

*it seemed to me that both Casey and GM were fake crying. Wipe away tears that weren't there. Although Casey did have really red eyes but I think it was from her wiping that tissue over and over on her eyes.

*Is Jeff Hopkins the same Jeff that had ZG babysit his son as well as Caylee?

*The GM was quite rude to the lady asking questions at the hearing,.. just like she was to reporters.

*I loved it when the detective said that GM said she wouldn't give her father's name to him and that SHE would follow up on it! And to leave her poor dad out of it. And then when the camera was pointed on her. she was saying I didn't say that,..

*June 25th was the phone call with a person that heard Caylee in the background when he was talking to Casey,.. who do you think this person was? And would he be creditable? And if this is TRUE,.. then why was it June 9th, then June 15th the last date they saw Caylee? Casey would have seen her on June 25th,..WHY LIE?

*Why did she want Tony's phone number when she was in jail and she talked to her brother on the phone?

*The car is very telling,.. the cadavier (sp) dogs hitting on the car and the back yard. And plus the stain and dirt in the truck along with the smell, I think would be enough as probable cause to hold her,.. wouldn't you think? Atleast until the test results were back to see if it is Caylee's DNA.

*And the final thing is this: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IF SHE IS IN JAIL OR NOT? WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO BE OUT OF JAIL TO TELL WHAT SHE KNOWS? THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD!

now i must catch up on tons of pages!
I thought the very same thing...hello!! You can talk in jail just like you can out of jail..especially when it concerns your missing daughter who is only 2 years old.

Actually, a lot of the speculation and "gossip" was proven to be true in court today. So I wouldn't classify it as "wild".

The facts brought out today verify that our theories and where some of us have felt this case was heading are on the right path to finding out what happened to Caylee.

please list these new facts that came out today, and i will tell you if they have anything to do with what im talking about.

if you havent seen MANY posts that are pure gossip and completely unfounded speculation then you havent been following these threads closely.

many people have pointed it out.

Cindy's father lives there, a video of Caylee was taped there on the 15th. Cindy insisted it was the 8th until detectives butted heads with Cindy about verifying with the senior center. They confronted Cindy last night. Suddenly Cindy remembered it was the 15th...uh hmmmm.
un~effing~believable!!!

I have no evidence - but I think the Gma knows what happened and here is why.....

Gpa picked up the car and recognized the smell. He went home and discussed with Gma. Gma set about trying to find Casey. Gma finds Casey and brings her home. They talk, the bro comes over and they talk somemore about Caylee's location. Gma says she is going to call police, bro says (I don't think he knows about smell at this point) mom, please wait, Casey says Caylee is safe. Gma knows about the smell and she knows something is wrong, so gma says no, I'm calling.

Police come, rest is history. Gma is angry Casey and as the evidence gets stronger Gma is finding that she can't hide in the land of denial much longer and she is angry with Casey.

I don't think Gma is implicated in the crime, she may have some responsibility in the cover up. We will have to wait and see on that.

Salem

Salem, though I still don't want to accept it, I believe this may be the case and you could be spot on.

One thing to add in there, they called the son over for family conference. He gets Casey alone without the parents around and tries to get the truth from her. Casey tells him she hasn't seen Caylee in 31 days.

The biggest factor for me was when investigators said they "Have evidence of decomposition in the trunk of the car"

That is huge.

I think your scenario has a ring of truth to it. That would account for why Casey broke down when her brother took her aside and quietly asked her about Caylee. She probably wanted to tell him but was afraid to.

I also don't think the grandparents have anything to do with a crime. They may suspect and think that if they get her out, they can get the truth from her and find Caylee, no matter where or what condition she's in. But, I think they may know, but are holding out hope that's not the way it is.

After the word gets out about the cadaver dogs getting a hit on the car, I don't think Casey will have many friends. She definitely doesn't evoke sympathy in me...neither does GM. Everyone will know be all out for searching for Caylee for Caylee's sake.

What really stands out to me is Casey told her brother she had not seen Caylee in 31 days. The only thing contradicting that is someone thinking they heard Caylee's voice in the background during a phone conversation.

The grandma said she last saw Caylee on June 8 but we have found out that she actually saw her on June 15th.

Did ANYONE see Caylee after June 15th?

I don't believe, if Caylee is dead, that the g'parents were directly connected, but I do think they are expecting the worst and are intentionally trying to cover up the possibility for sake of saving their daughter.

Funny how Casey was all boo hoo hoo in court today. Aww she is afraid of getting in trouble now huh? Too bad. She wasn't crying when she was out dancing the night away while her daughter lay dead God knows where...
She stopped crying when the detective started talking, though didn't she. She was pretty stony when they were discussing the cadaver dog's hit on the car. She didn't flinch.

Bond is 500K, they have to come up with 10% or 50K.

http://www.wesh.com/news/16950347/detail.html

The def attorney said if the bond was $500K, then they were wasting their time because the grandparents have limited means.

So we found out additional information and she'll most likely stay in jail.

PS....maybe now she'll start talking....fran

A neighbor said she noticed Caseys' car was backed in in her driveaway which she thought was strange, if this was the day she she borrrowed the shovel then maybe Casey killed Caylee in the house and put her in the trunck, drive the car buried and buried her which is why dirt and smell was in the trunk and then returned the shovel.

I think Gma doesn't know what happened to Caylee (which is why she called the police) and really does believe (or wants to believe) her daughter. Like a lot of relatives she doesn't believe her daughter would hurt Caylee but I know anyone can snap and hurt someone they love. The fact that Casey never called the police when her daughter went missing is a HUGE red flag.

I can only hope and pray that Casey comes clean if she gets,so they can take care of Caylee.

IMO She killed that child on June 15. Something happened on Fathers Day.

I will only speak for myself, but I, personally, have read every post from day 1 - have YOU followed the television interviews and flat out deception?? Do you honestly believe that the entire family FORGOT that Casey and Caylee were with them on FATHER'S DAY, of all days???

1) We believed Jesse was the father...and couldn't understand why GM lied about it. She fessed up to it today. Guess it must have been that "whole truth, nothing but the truth" thing.
You want more? For what purpose might I ask? I think we've done an OUTSTANDING job here. Now, it's time to focus on finding Caylee...not on justifying ourselves.

that is neither evidence nor specific.

and no, im not kidding.

A few of the facts revealed during the hearing today:

1) cadaver dogs "hit" on trunk of car (right, rear, passenger side) and three spots in back yard.

2) per private conversation with Lee, Casey says she hasn't seen Caylee in 31 days, which would be on/around June 15th.

3) Casey/Cindy first say that they haven't seen Caylee since June 9th. Then Cindy is confronted with video from assisted living home (where her, Cindy's, father lives) from June 15th. Cindy changes story and says oh yeah, I guess I did see Caylee on Fathers Day. But, when they (detectives?) say they want to check the visitor logs at the assisted living home to see who signed in with Caylee, Cindy gets upset and says she will not cooperate with LE anymore if they pursue that.

Just kind of interesting... and yes, we are speculating that Cindy knows more or is involved in some way. But that is what we do here - ponder things and throw out ideas.

absolutely no evidence that the grandmother knows or participated in anything.

if you think there is please post it and be specific.
Let me be VERY specific here.

The grandmother, Cindy, gave her statement to LE that the last time she saw Caylee was on June 8, 2008.

The Detective testified today when she was confronted with further evidence LAST NIGHT, July 21, 2008 that Caylee was actually with her and videotaped (which has been seen all of the national media of her reading a book at a table) on June 15, 2008. She declined to give her Father's name so police could verify the records kept on visitor's sign in at the assisted living center stating she would "take care of it on her own" and threatened she would not cooperate with LE anymore if they involved her father.

This would be participating in Obstruction of Justice, imo. It proves she initially LIED to police about when she last saw Caylee. (There is a week's discrepancy in her story.) This is consistent with her knowing Casey's story was not true from the beginning.
