Here's a question. Can Baez petition for a trial date prior to the currently-assigned November date?

I'm wondering if he does so and is successful and the charges then get upped to murder/manslaughter, is he then stuck with that date?

The prosecution has until the assigned date to be ready for trial, they wouldn't have to agree to go earlier. If murder charges are made I think the clock would start from that date of filing. Its a different charge. With a murder charge they would probably drop the others. No point in making it complicated or giving multiple challenges on appeal.

I believe the notification that she is outside the area is sent to CA and then CA notifies LE in Orlando. However, a visit to the lawyer is legit - so, while she is there she is essentially free.

Right! Which is why I said to expect MANY visits with the Attorney.

I have "smelled" something with him from the first time I saw him on TV. There is a "connection" there we are not privy to...........I would bet on it.

First we have an expensive attorney come out of the woodwork to defend her (no court appointed attorney, but yet she is broke) Then we have a bondsman come from California with all kinds of money to post her bond when no one in Florida would touch it.

SOMEONE is expecting BIG THINGS out of that girl.

When are the GP's and Lee going to suck it up, and tell Casey to put up or get out? I mean really, this woman has turned their lives upside down, and they still don't know where Caylee is...what in the world are they thinking? Tell her to find another place to stay, or go back to jail, honestly I don't get this behavior all. Grow some for goodness sakes!

I'm just getting online today and at the beginning of this thread.

Yesterday afternoon, after Casey had been bonded out and brought home, George left the house walking. He had a cell phone and talked as he walked. He appeared very agitated. A local news video showed George walking with the cell phone and a short time later Lee came with his car and picked George up.

Now there could be any number of reasons for George taking a walk. Perhaps he just needed to escape for a while. Or, he needed to make a phone call and feared the home phone was bugged. The fact that Lee went and picked George up is sort of strange. Did George get angry and storm out of the house and Lee later went to get him?

What I see as a real possibility in all this is that George and Cindy will argue over this situation and George will be the one to crack, while Cindy remains staunchly defending Casey.

Well he did say on Greta on thursday nite that he'd be too busy with business to talk to casey for the next few days.


It's now apparant to me that business means, getting your face out there on any show you can.

I think Baez is pounding it into her head not to talk to anyone now that she is home. Not even her parents. He is probably telling her they have nothing on her and as long as she keeps her mouth shut and gives out no other info she will probably go free. He is plotting his strategy with her. He knows LE has nothing on her and can't arrest her for further things. I believe he will push for a quick trial. Once this goes to trial they cannot arrest her for further crimes. \

Once Casey goes to trial on the current charges and goes to jail or whatever happens, and then down the road the forensics show that it is Caylee's DNA etc., etc., LE can certainly file charges against Casey based on murder. manslaughter, etc., etc.

I am going to have to disagree. JP and JG would have mandatory drug testing for their jobs. The rest of them might be recreational users, but not hardcore. They all have real jobs and/or go to school. Not seeing any signs of hardcore drug users on any of those myspace or facebook pages. I just don't believe it was drug related in this case.

Growing up, I did know, and still do, many drug users who were daily drug users that still were able to hold down jobs, go to school, what have you. Maybe it's because it was a different area, I don't know. But I have seen people act the same way that Casey has acted or has been described as being and they were on drugs, more often than not. I don't think we know everything there is to know about Casey. I have friends and family that are not on my myspace pages or my facebook pages. Now, my reasoning for them not being on there is because they don't have the pages or something very harmless along those lines. But there is the possibility that there are two sides to Casey. As for what has actually happened to Caylee, the verdict isn't out for me on that one one way or the other. I need more facts. Leaning towards she did something to her but can't 100% state that. But as for Casey and her behavior, given my life experiences and such, I would have to say that I do believe that Casey was involved in some kind of drug use on a regular basis and that it is possible she had another side to her that people just didn't know. One question I ask is where was she during the day when she was supposed to be working? Weekly, monthly, yearly, where was she? I definitely respect your opinion and I look forward to your insight. In this particular instance, I just think we disagree.

YUPPER, he sure did and it is in his thread! I didn't want to say anything as I was hoping someone would remember.

You know, another scenario of this story could be that when Casey was making all those wild calls on the 16th, 17th etc that these 'drug friends' took off with Caylee as some sort of payback to Casey and she was wildly calling her mother, etc. Maybe 2 or 3 days later she got a big warning not to talk or they would do away with Caylee. It is a feasible situation. IF you want to believe the family. But dumping the car still makes no sense to me, the smell in the car and the cadaver dogs. This into the mix makes no sense. She had no reason to dump the car if Caylees body hadn't smelled it up. Also, how do these drug dealers expect anything from Casey since she is locked up and can't get them anything. You would think they would want to dump Caylee asap. I guess the only reason to keep her would be to keep Casey quiet. IF you believe this type of story. BUT I keep going back to the smell, the car dumping and the dogs..... I wish LE would get their act together and get those tests back. I really want to know if there is any evidence in that car.

If druggies had Caylee wouldn't they have returned her by now for the reward money?

I do think that Casey worked as an escort for a company with their hands in "many pots" sometimes those companies "take care" of their girls. They have a lawyer on standby.
That's as far as I want to go with this for now, but it's very interesting when you start to research it. Trust me!

Ok, There have been a few clues I have hear, including the one below, that Casey was not the person we see today in jail. She was noted as a loving mother and a nice girl. But something change for her in recent times. Even her father mentioned that something happened to her and she got into the wrong crowd or something. So what happened to Casey to make her into this? It looks like Rev. Grund doesn't have much 'like' for Cindy Anthony. Do you think it is drug use and drug sellers that Casey got involved with? I know there is alot we don't know which is why Padilla got involved. There is a whole other part to this story that we don't know of. However, that doesn't mean that Caylee is alive or that Casey isn't responsible for her death thru the lifestyle she was leading and the people she was dealing with. I wonder if Tony is involved or whether he had no idea of her other life too? I wonder if LE or anyone has any idea of who else Casey was hanging around with that none of us have heard of?

Her mother is a victim in this as well. What you see in jail is not Casey Anthony but something that has been taken her over. It’s hard to explain but that is not the girl who came to our house and who my son fell in love with. Something happened to her. Sadly, after her mother meddled with their engagement and ruined it for her, it would seem her life fell apart. I do not know if thing would have turned out differently except that Caylee would be safe right now. I disagree. Casey didn't learn to be a massive liar overnight. I think she's been doing this all her life and her parents have been buying her lies for years. I also believe there is a love/hate relationship between mother and daughter.

He has never denied that he is a media and his full intention is to get out there on every national media show to try to drum up anything (good or bad) that would lead to finding Caylee. That is why he IS there at this point. Baez put a stop to him talking to Casey. He has really no role other than security detail to protect his own interest..so going on television now become his "job".

I don't find it odd that Tony didn't go on back to California just because he mentioned he thought he might! LOL Sheesh! Give the guy a break. Maybe he couldn't get a flight out because of Fay or something.
