Which one is it...

She's not talking because she's building her defense against the child neglect charges??
or
She's not talking because She fears for her childs life and cannot tell law enforcement??
What's the current story - she knows WHO has Caylee, but not WHERE Caylee is?

So why not tell LE who has her, and let them take care of finding them?

What's that you say - Caylee would be in danger if Casey does that?

How much danger could Caylee be in, if Casey is so unconcerned about her welfare that she isn't even talking to the people who not only paid for her release, but are professionals at finding people who don't want to be found?

Those bounty hunters looked like fish out of water sitting around in that winnebago.

We know that Casey will continue a lie until she gets to the end of a corridor and has nowhere else to go. How much longer will she be able to string out this lie before she has nowhere else to go?

I'm starting to like the fact that Len and Rob are around, because with their expertise (and ol' Len's penchant for never seeing a camera he doesn't like), they could wind up being instrumental in hastening her stroll to the end of the corridor simply by their presence.

No need to apologize... it's just semantics anyay. I still stand by my statement that, to me, there is a big difference between "we have no evidence that she is deceased" and "we have evidence that she is alive".
You have to remember that LE Padilla is the PR person for OCSO - he didn't get that job without have the credentials of being able to "speak" (or double speak) to the public. He knows his words and chooses them carefully.

Just heard Padillas comment for the first time where he claims "Casey fell in love, got involved with the wrong people because of that and the whole thing just snowballed for four weeks" Why does it sound like hes trying to implicate Tony or one of Tony's friends?

Addendum to LP advisory: Do Not Drop Caylee off at Walgreens. Use Rite-Aid instead.

Why not a WalMart Super Center? They're open 24/7, and at least have their Code Adam.

I'm sorry - when I went back and looked at your statement - the real difference is the word "evidence". I do believe however that LE Padilla has said there is no "evidence that she is deceased" - would have to check the docs to make sure.

That is correct from a quote perspective..

However, 2 points, as the PIO, the investigators in this case are only obligated to share with him what is/can be released to the public. This guy is not going to know anything that is Grand Jury related or that cant be released, period, it is protocal.

Secondly, Le is under no obligation to ever tell us anything under the PI act that is deemed by le as important to an ongoing investigation

Just saying just because they are not outside with a sandwich board does not mean they dont have evidence they need.

Those statements say the same thing. What does LE care what the general public knows. They have no legal right to tell us anything. IMO the "players" in this case have been told (although I still out about George and Cindy - they might, they might not - they run their mouths too much to be trusted).

IMO Casey is involved is some OTHER very serious crimes - media has put her life in jeopardy - not LE. What other choices are there now? Baez, (and possibly Geraldo as per recent rumors) have stepped up and provided round the clock security for her to minimize this risk. Meanwhile, the real work on this case continues in the "back room".

If her life was in danger, why go out to clubs? Why not tell her mother not to call 911 for x and y reasons? Not to mention Casey told Cindy on July 15th she would take her to see Caylee in the morning, and then from jail Casey tells her mother she doesn't know where Caylee is. How do you go from one to the other? And if LE could be trusted not to put her in danger, why lie to them? Doesn't add up.

Also, aren't a lot of jobs in the DA's office dependent on votes? I'm sure they want to put forth the best possible front for the community.

Do we know that LE hasn't gone and talked to these "people" and these "people" have produced evidence to LE showing they have every right to have Caylee? We don't know that. SWAT, snipers, whatever are not needed.

We are only being told what they want us to know at this moment. Do they care what we think? Nope.
Wrong. We certainly DO know they have not gone and talked to "these people". LE would have immediately taken her into custody and put her in safe place for this all to have been sorted out as to how they got Caylee. Second, they would have stopped this media feeding frenzy by telling everyone they found Caylee and the focus of the investigation would turn to prosecuting Casey for giving her away plus them for taking her and hiding her knowing a nationwide hunt was on for the child.

I do value your opinion so much! So with this, would you agree that the media needs to just leave the Anthony's troubles behind and go follow all of these people who need help from the floods? All media outlets need to leave and just let these people who know who have Caylee deal with it all on their own.. My opinion at this point is that if they know that Caylee is alive..and no one is going to share with the media who has this child, then just let the media go cover other news that is just as important.Even if LE knows she alive, then they are wasting very valuable news time that something much more needy of help could use..;right now I am sure that many kids in Florida have no bed to sleep in tonight because the flood took it away..
MY OPINION IS THAT THE MEDIA GO AWAY AND FOLLOW SOMETHING THAT THEY KNOW WILL ACTUALLY BE OF HELP INSTEAD OF POSSIBLE HARM OR FAKE PUBLICITY!

I have complete faith in Leonard, Rob and gang. I think they've had something up their sleeve since they got there.

This ain't their first rodeo.

I predict its a set up for explanation for a drug habit.. she was a good girl until... Um, sure.

For the legal minds: Do you think that seeing as the 2 charges she is facing are really quite minor that they amount of time they are spending together "working on her defense" is overkill? (No I'm not implying anything romantic.)

As she told her mother in that first phone call " We do not know what she was involved in.

Could you provide a link to that Dershowitz quote? I'm not saying that Dershowitz never said that. But it would surprise me if he did. Thank you.

_________
Every defendant is entitled to a defense. Even a defendant that is entirely guilty of whatever he or she is charged with. Not only must the prosecution prove all of the elements of the crime, but it must do so in a manner that is procedurally proper. These procedural safeguards, founded in due process, are all that prevents the government from disappearing its' citizens --US!-- at will and without a shred of cause. The number of strong cases against a defendant that have been thrown out of court because of prosecutorial misconduct are too many too count.

I'm sure this is boring to many, but on the other hand, so are the hundreds and hundreds of repetitive posts here about how Baez is a bad guy because he's defending his client, and because Baez has the nerve to challenge LE.

(Disclaimer: I think Casey did it, but I don't feel that I have to say this in order to defend this post).

I have spent quite sometime reviewing your posts-not because I am stalking you, lol, but because I think you are well reasoned. The boards have been hijacked by emotion perhaps, and everyone feeds off one another but they are due a platform as well-I think Baez is a more than adequate defense attorney who is acting the way I would expect him to act...he is ensuring that the vortex around his client continue to swirl so that people do not focus on the task at hand. The search and recovery of Caylee Anthony.

They will continue to keep Casey safe so that she can reveal the details to find Caylee?

This is just speculation on my part, making assumptions based on what I see and feel, but I will argue that the Anthony's do not share any deep and authentic relations with anyone other than their immediate family and I mean their 5 people family - including Caylee.

Anyone outside their family was just an EXTRA for birthday parties and happy occasions etc. Showing off to outsiders. Never shared reality with outsiders. Neighbors hearing the cursing Casey was doing but Cindy telling to co-workers how devoted Casey was to Caylee. In order to keep a facade like this, you can't have people close to you. You only invited them over to show off, share your good image.

I think most of us have such a family in our circles. And in most occassions we also know ALL about the facade even though the people who are playing it believe they are fooling everyone. People are not coming out to support and speak for Casey:

1) Because some of them will be important witnesses for the prosecution
2) The rest of them know Casey is guilty. They know her history and they consider her capable of doing that.

This only tells me that there is a huge secret in this family!!! They keep it protected by keeping every one else OUT...

If Casey was involved in more serious crimes she would be charged as such. If all those on the outside are so worried about her safety put her in a safehouse or leave her in jail. Again this just more SPIN. WE ALL HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE DECISIONS WE MAKE.

Not if the investigations into these serious crimes are still being conducted. They (LE) are not going to charge her until "they have their ducks in a row" - I have read that statement many times on here. They couldn't leave her in jail - she was entitled to bond and bonded out.

Ask yourself this - why has ALL THIS BIG MONEY moved in here? Oh I know book rights, movie rights - but those won't come until way down the line and can't come in until the fat lady sings. So again, ask why ALL THESE PEOPLE - and we now have quite a few involved - are they involved?

Follow the money.......................................................................

Too many cameras at a walmart, security like fort knox.

I respectfully disagree.

IMHO, she WILL NOT do that.

(oops - I shouldn't have bolded your words for my emphasis, Absolut.)

How about DOES NOT
