Wouldn't he be crazy not to? Let's say that he prepares a strategy for the current charges that might come back to bite him when other charges come.
He has to take into consideration that other charges might be on the horizon. It was said in the bond hearing that she is a POI in the disappearance of her daughter.

Of course, he has to know that Casey is withholding information or he would be going to find the child himself... just out of decency whether it is his job or not.

Hellooooo everyone .. hear me loud and clear... Jose Baez may be the best attorney who ever defended a guilty client... but I don't GAF!!! My beef is not with him... it is with CASEY who cannot and will not tell the truth when her @ss is on the line, even when it means Caylee is somewhere out there-dead or alive. Either way, that is HER child!

What indications do you see of a murder defense?

He already provided a reference to key points in his 'opening statement', and it didn't sound like it was in reference to a neglect case.

What's "logic"?

Surely not a question to ask the Anthonys, or LP, or JB, or any of the bobble heads involved in this circus!! :furious:

Me too! The whole "drop her off at a drugstore" thing is ridiculous! IF she was kidnapped, the people who had her would know that every store, especially a store where they have huge amounts of narcotics, will be loaded with security cameras ready to catch their image on tape! Give me a break! lol

I could see it now, every worker in that drugstore making minimum wage fighting and pulling at her screaming "I found her first, I found her first!!!!

Do we know that LE hasn't gone and talked to these "people" and these "people" have produced evidence to LE showing they have every right to have Caylee? We don't know that. SWAT, snipers, whatever are not needed.

We are only being told what they want us to know at this moment. Do they care what we think? Nope.

Don't you think that LE would at least announce that the child is alive?

She (Casey) has said (according to Cindy - so not really fact) that she knows who has her - just that she (Casey) doesn't know where she (Caylee) is at. So there really isn't a "go find her" mentality.

So why doesn't she say WHO has her? Then she might get some help in finding out where they are.

What indications do you see of a murder defense?

What indications do you see that this is NOT what they're doing? Touche

And yet.... George is "watching them?"

The 2 comments just don't add up. And if you include Cindy's insistence that people get out & search for Caylee.... they sound even MORE ridiculous.

To me it sounds like George and the BH are trying to scare someone into giving Caylee back. JMO

let alone, he thinks the kidnappers are idiots...give it 2 days and come claim your reward...oh yea....no questions asked? the le definately wouldnt want to speak to the person responsible for using everyones tax dollars for the search.

I don't like people who call people "idiots" & other insulting adjectives.... that only turns the focus on the WORDS you use instead of the general message you're trying to get across.

But what other type of person can we expect to be connected to the Casey defense team?

first off my local walgreens can't even handle ringing up a purchase or a line of more than 2 folks....but sure 'kidnappers, just drop caylee off there, we'll make sure you get your reward'.

lol...

but parents DO have moments of frustration and chit happens - Respectfully snipped.....

But....chit happens??? He got "frustrated with his 9 week old and dropped her.....sorry but I have a newborn not much older than that --- and that kinda chit does not and will not happen to my child....nor did it happen to her brother......

You get frustrated - put the baby down and walk away for Cripes Sake!
But many people cannot do that.

Perhaps it's the tooth fairy or the easter bunny they are hoping to reach.

Casey could pass a lie dector test with flying colors. She is a practiced lier. She beleives what she says. Even when someone with this type of mental disorder tells you staright to your face they lied about something it is nothing more than part of the 'fanasty' they are weaving. If it suits their purpose to appear as though they have admitted something to make what the say more believable in the furture they will.
It is a test of sanity to deal with this type of person. They make you feel if you are crasy. I can not image that her lawyer spent seven hours with her. Ugh!. He probaly needed a stiff drink or a valium.
You have to check and verify everything little thing. Somewhere amoungst all the lies you can find a few bits of the truth.

First off my local Walgreens can't even handle ringing up a purchase or a line of more than 2 folks....but sure 'Kidnappers, just drop Caylee off there, we'll make sure you get your reward'.

Addendum to LP advisory: Do Not Drop Caylee off at Walgreens. Use Rite-Aid instead.

Thank you and please carry on with your searching.

Don't you think that LE would at least announce that the child is alive?

Or

"We are working to confirm who has Caylee"

People so dangerous that they can't even tell LE, the FBI OR Swat teams to swoop in & rescue her & they think they can scare the person into just giving up?

  • #179
Which one is it...

She's not talking because she's building her defense against the child neglect charges??
or
She's not talking because She fears for her childs life and cannot tell law enforcement??

I vote c) none of the above. If she talks there's no defense. Of course, I wouldn't offer her one anyway!

And people wonder why lawayers are hated....lol

I know lawyers who would remove themselfves from a case if they knew their client was guilty. Even Alan Dershowitz has a quote about that. It's called ethics and most defense lawyers lack them imo

Could you provide a link to that Dershowitz quote? I'm not saying that Dershowitz never said that. But it would surprise me if he did. Thank you.

_________
Every defendant is entitled to a defense. Even a defendant that is entirely guilty of whatever he or she is charged with. Not only must the prosecution prove all of the elements of the crime, but it must do so in a manner that is procedurally proper. These procedural safeguards, founded in due process, are all that prevents the government from disappearing its' citizens --US!-- at will and without a shred of cause. The number of strong cases against a defendant that have been thrown out of court because of prosecutorial misconduct are too many too count.

I'm sure this is boring to many, but on the other hand, so are the hundreds and hundreds of repetitive posts here about how Baez is a bad guy because he's defending his client, and because Baez has the nerve to challenge LE.

(Disclaimer: I think Casey did it, but I don't feel that I have to say this in order to defend this post).
