Well... I did a quick spit bath, threw on a clean t-shirt, brushed my teeth, wrapped my hair up in a clip, ran to the grocery store, ran up and down the aisles, fell down, spilled my blueberries, spent $136.00, drove home, noticed my lawn-bushes-weeds are way overgrown, said wth to myself, unloaded the car, put away perishables, left the others on the porch, fed the animals, ran to the T.V. and computer .... all that in 40 minutes.

Did I miss anything?

Exactly. Why is everyone at this point, surprised that Caylee is still missing? That Casey has a defense lawyer? That the grandparents aren't looking for Caylee?

You have to remember that LE Padilla is the PR person for OCSO - he didn't get that job without have the credentials of being able to "speak" (or double speak) to the public. He knows his words and chooses them carefully.

Wrong. We certainly DO know they have not gone and talked to "these people". LE would have immediately taken her into custody and put her in safe place for this all to have been sorted out as to how they got Caylee. Second, they would have stopped this media feeding frenzy by telling everyone they found Caylee and the focus of the investigation would turn to prosecuting Casey for giving her away plus them for taking her and hiding her knowing a nationwide hunt was on for the child.

I completely agree, to think LE/FBI would not go defcon 3 with a viable lead for this child is illusory...

And I'll add that I do believe the NY journalist that "introduced" the BH to Baez was Geraldo. And I'll go even one more - THEY (JB, BH, GR) all know EVERYTHING!!!!

What search ? I wasn't aware LE had wasted any of your tax dollars on a search. I must have miss all the search parties LE led.

1.) She did not report her missing and behaved as if she were finally free. Documented with pictures and by witness statements.

2.) Decomp, stains and hair in the TRUNK of the car she was driving.

3.) 2 separate cadaver dogs hitting in the same spots.

4.) No Zanaida exists.

5.) No child has been found.

If she is alive and well and they know where she is what would they need forensics for? What would LEs motivation be to hold up resolving this case with a live child?

That is what I thought!
LE loves to bring missing children home (well, maybe not to this one) but you know what I mean they like to find them.

I think the only blame here is Casey and the rest who enable her. Maybe it would help if Casey would TALK an make them think there IS an alive Caylee.

Not if the investigations into these serious crimes are still being conducted. They (LE) are not going to charge her until "they have their ducks in a row" - I have read that statement many times on here. They couldn't leave her in jail - she was entitled to bond and bonded out.

Ask yourself this - why has ALL THIS BIG MONEY moved in here? Oh I know book rights, movie rights - but those won't come until way down the line and can't come in until the fat lady sings. So again, ask why ALL THESE PEOPLE - and we now have quite a few involved - are they involved?

Big money? $200k from the aviation/rentals guy? $50k from LP, the fliers, billboards? Am I missing something? $300k is a lot of money? Oh wait the $200k only goes out if in 90 days Caylee is found safe. So 50k which LP gets back under most conditions. Casey was stealing gas, what BIG crime other than check frauding those around her could she really have been pulling off?

As she told her mother in that first phone call " We do not know what she was involved in.

If this is the conversation I'm thinking of, I thought Casey was incredulously repeating what she had just seen her mother say on TV... (to her mom): you "don't know what my involvement in this is??!!" I took it as she couldn't believe her mother would doubt her. Did you not take it that way?

This whole thing about not speaking because everything in jail is monitored is beyond me..so I ask, what does it matter? If finding your child is important, why would she care that its monitored? We know why Biaz cares, because he wants to win the case against her. But why does she care if getting Caylee home is the objective? Unless..she killed her? Nothing else seems reasonable right now..why not say anything for 30 days? Why lie? Why say she is safe then say she fears for her life?

Baez should KNOW that atty/client conversations cannot be taped.

I don't know that he thinks people are naive.... I think it's just his 'tough guy' style of projecting himself that isn't playing very well in such an emotional case.

That personna might be very successful when he's out catching criminals but the guy is NOT quick on his feet when it comes to talking on camera to lawyers OR pundits. He obviously did NOT do his homework before he rushed to start talking. Bad, bad move.

if this was a movie, I'd say he was MISCAST & he's the wrong person to play the role.

Just heard Padillas comment for the first time where he claims "Casey fell in love, got involved with the wrong people because of that and the whole thing just snowballed for four weeks" Why does it sound like hes trying to implicate Tony or one of Tony's friends?
