HOW do we KNOW SHE HASN'T??????????????????

Because NO ONE has gone to retrieve that little child.

I don't mean to sound flippant, but can you personally imagine a single scenario in which a reasonable person had learned that Casey was safely alive and wouldn't do their utmost to go get her, or at very least, relay the information forward to alleviate the ongoing concern?

I can't.

Your arguments are well-stated and well-reasoned out and I respect very much that you are committed to your stance.

OTH, I like my rose-coloured world where I believe that if Baez, BH Posse or LE knew Casey was alive - they'd pull out the flash-bangs and the rocket-launchers to bring her into safer hands.

**snipped** from Seriously Searching

No one has ANY right to Caylee right now except Law Enforcement. She is considered missing plus in clear and immediate danger. This would supercede anything that anyone else produces to state otherwise (which they could not have anyway since no paperwork has been filed as to transfering custody from the mother). end snip

Except for say - oh - her biological father who has a paternity test PROVING this fact. And if this "father" is someone of prominent notarity (famous or infamous). And she is currently NOT in the US proper - this could throw some serious moneky wrenches into the mix.

Unless she (and I think you meant to cay Caylee) is IN SAFE HANDS.

The slow and methodical breaking down of Casey Anthony.

Did you hear Leonard in the winnebago talk about searching for a body should that prove to be the case? He was pretty matter-of-fact about it, which made me re-evaluate all his comments about believing Caylee is still alive. I'm not at all sure he isn't saying one thing while planning for an entirely different scenario.

REEEEAALLLY... now that could be interesting.. I hope you are right!

Thankx for the link Blink (hahah I'm a poet and don't know it)

That article is from July 22 - very early on. From the AP which I hold as one (if not the only) credible media resource.

Baez's comments (per the article) are:

This is not a capital case, and if it were they certainly would file it, if they had evidence to," Baez said. "There is circumstantial evidence of a possible homicide, I will give them that. But circumstantial evidence has not made them confident enough to charge her with any specific homicide or kidnapping, or any capital offense

So he does admit to the circumstantial evidence - we have not gotten confirmation that any evidence has tested out. Being that this was very early on - yes he could make that statement. Now - in light of the time that has passed - and there are still no results (released anyway) - doubt is coming more and more to the forefront. Also, back around July 22 - he was just getting his feet wet. He might not have been privy to all the information he is now. "Things" have been found out.
The doubt is in the mind of the public. LE doesn't care about public doubt, as long as they know they have the goods. They didn't even blink when Baez sprung Casey from jail, since their case is being built without her cooperation.

The forensic evidence is being subjected to additional tests to fill in the part of the story that isn't coming from Casey - when did the death occur.

There would be no reason to use the sophisticated equipment at the Body Farm if there was no evidence to analyze in order to determine time of death.

And the security cameras were mentioned, and I understand that but...if they go to a WalMart in FL (hoping) then they could probably hide behind an umbrella. Heck, wouldn't have to be FL for that. And if an umbrella doesn't work, maybe a paper bag or something.

"You can hide undda my uhm-brella, ellla, ella. ella
ah, ah, ah, ah..."

Ok, you can curse me now for sticking that in your head for the rest of the night.

I got my avatar from another WSer, i can't take the credit for it...she said anyone could use it!

Oh really, anyone can use it? I love it, and think I will use it too. I am new to this avatar thing and just used a picture of Caylee. I like the shirt better. If there is a problem using it, whoever the orginal poster is, i'll glady take it off.

:praying: for Caylee

Tracey, that is the way I took it, because of a similar conversation in the past with a person like Casey. Thank God there was no child involved at the time, though. My husband's psycho daughter stole a credit card from me. It wasn't hard for me to figure out. In fact I had her and a few of her friends join us for dinner after (I found out later) their little shopping spree. They sat right there and smiled in my face and thanked me for dinner. A few days later her father confronted her about the card and she said in her little girl voice "And you think I did that, Daddy?" When the charge slips were given to me they were signed in her own handwriting, no attempt even to disguise it.

So yes, I took it that way. Once you have had one of these people come into your life, you will understand.

I think I know what you are talking about. I read an article about a man who "studies" liars. He said if they can't spin it (making you feel guilty for doubting them) or convince you the are telling the truth, they will want to stop talking to you. Which is what Casey did in that phone conversation: "I don't want to talk to you" is what she said right after the statement we are discussing.

Or if the evidence is coming back as inconclusive or non-existent. This could go either way. I will not draw conclusions one way or the other. I do believe that if the tests came back conclusively they would have charged her and not really needed that new "controversial" Body Farm testing.

Two different cadaver dogs hit in the same places, one being the trunk of Casey's car.

Family member who is former detective identified Decomp smell.

Family member who is an RN identified decomp smell.

Current detectives working case Identified decomp smell.

All other theories are valid and some are quite impressive. IMHO the decomp smellers combine to trump all other theories.

What has it got in its pockets?

He said last night on Greta that the difference between him and LE is that:

Imagine for a moment that what you're hearing is lip service. Sure, he'll look for Caylee alive. He'll also look for her dead. At the moment, he isn't looking for her at all, thanks to Casey.

He said LE has the death scenario covered. He is going to pursue the theory she is alive.

IMHO, The testing at UT is just one rose in the icing on a twelve layer cake.

Willing to get off my azz and search. Where did Casey sasy to look?

Good quote - Gollum! All that points to is a body - does not point to Caylee specifically (and yet - until those forensics come back). Very possible that Casey did have a dead body in that trunk - now if it was Caylee is another whole riddle!!!!

Cindy = smells like a dead body. dog 1= smells like a dead body. dog 2= smells like a dead body. cop= smells like a dead body. I just don't believe Caylee is alive.

I'm sure while trying to find any new info on the threads, and other places, I've missed a lot of what's been said on T.V.

Is it true there has not been one legit press release at all from LE, FBI, CSI, CIA,
Child-Search Organizations, Casey, her atty... or anyone besides LP and GPs,
to let us know the progress of this case? If so, I find this highly unusual.

Even LE during the Wash DC/VA Sniper Case (?) a few years ago gave us something.... even when they told us nothing!

If that transpires, I hope you're wearing a good foundation garment!
