"Anthony's childhood friend Brittany Schieber said Anthony always has been "a good-hearted person and someone who liked to have fun."

The two attended Colonial High School but drifted apart until recently, when they rekindled their friendship. Caylee and Schieber's son are close to the same age.

Schieber said she thought it was a joke when Anthony sent her a July 15 text message, telling her that she had not seen Caylee in 31 days."

Now here's a SLEUTHER. Facts.

You got it. If they qualify. You can't live in an expensive home with a bunch of SUVs and get welfare.
Wanna bet? Like the poster stated, if nobody claims you on their taxes then you can collect and give them the address of a million dollar home. The home owner would state in a letter than you pay rent and that they do not support you. Casey could have been doing this same thing.

Caylee can be found in less than 24 hours!

Imagine this scene:

The back door of the Anthony residence bursts open and Jack Bauer rushes in.

Jack punches Cindy, points at George and says, “Sit down - don’t move”. George does as he is told.

Before the startled female bounty hunter can take any action, Jack vanishes out the back gate with Casey over his shoulder.

Less than 24 hours later, Caylee is found safe at a fire station in Georgia.

Casey is never seen again.

Hi everyone.. I have been lurking today and trying to catch up. I know this was discussed, but LP throwing out Casey's friends names this weekend was pretty bold if you ask me.. I wonder what he knows (if anything) to be throwin out these names.. Just another twisted story in this huge confusing case IMO.

Whatever he "knows" he did not learn from Casey. jmo

"Padilla told Eyewitness News he hasn't spoken with Casey since he helped bail her out of jail last week."

I suspect LP is doing this to get them to come forward to defend themselves and start talking! I think he is just trying to get things moving - albeit in most unconventional ways.

these documents that are supposed to come out today - will they be available to the public?

If it's discovery, it will be given to the defense attorney. I don't think that there's any chance that we'll get to see those documents.

Oh, how I wish that I'm wrong about this!

wonder what time she is meeting with the case manager. I am sure the media will be ready and waiting.

Sorry, but you are wrong.

They check and double check everything before you qualify for welfare and food stamps, etc.

ETA. Why would you want your child to live in a Section 8 housing arrangement? That's ludicrous.

In Texas, all you have to do is get a domicile form filled out by a neighbor or landlord. Some people even say they pay their family some rent to get more help. Section 8 is not always in bad neighborhoods. I knew a young woman getting that and daycare help. She lived in a nice apartment area. They just pay part of the rent, but a person does have to work. I imagine the Anthony's were carrying both girls as dependents. Casey could have worked and gotten a pretty good Earned Income Credit, but I guess she just stole several thousand instead.

I know that the Sawgrass apartments have been talked about. Does anyone know anything about the Sutton Place apartments?

bringing this over-first post on here and it was last post on the old thread!

In my opinion, one possibility is Casey could have sold Caylee to get back at Cindy and free herself of the 'burden' of motherhood. That's why she isn't concerned as to Caylee's safety and would explain why whoever had her doesn't come forward. We all know what Caylee looks like now but noone was looking for her at airports, seaports or stations for the first month so wouldn't remember seeing her.

I have also considered this - Casey selling or giving Caylee away. But I wonder how one would go about doing this? It's not something that you could do spur of the moment after a heated argument. I mean if you are really slleing her to a "baby broker" or someone who wanted a child. I would not know where to begin to look for "an opporunity" like this. It would take some planning I think. And what was she thinking would happen to her when she no longer had Caylee - that no one would care. She must have had some crazy hate for her mother if she knew she might get jail time just so that her mother would not have Caylee. I think she would have cracked by now if this was the case. She could play the "I'm young, I was tricked and manipulated into doing this and now I want Caylee back." She may even garner sympathy from some folks (not me) if this was the case.

From Cindy July 3rd. This makes me think there was no welfare. Sounds like Cindy took care of Caylee's needs.

From Cindy's July 3rd post, it sounds as if she took care of Caylee's needs. I don't think Casey applied for welfare based on this post.

my caylee is missing
Current mood: http://x.myspace.com/images/blog/moods/iBrads… distraughtShe came into my life unexspectedly, just as she has left me. This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love. Now she is gone and I don’t know why. All I am guilty of is loving her and providing her a safe home. Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankfull for all of the love and support given to her. A mother’s love is deep, however there are limits when one is betrayed by the one she loved and trusted the most. A daughter comes to her mother for support when she is pregnant, the mother says without hesitation it will be ok. And it was. But then the lies and betrayal began. First it seemed harmless, ah, love is blind. A mother will look for the good in her child and give them a chance to change. This mother gave chance after chance for her daughter to change, but instead more lies more betrayal. What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills, etc. Instead tells her friends that her mother is controlling her life and she needs her space. No money, no future. Where did she go? Who is now watching out for the little angel?

You are so right. Discovery is between the defense lawyers and prosecutors. Either side can release the info once they have it. So I'm intrigued by an earlier post that WESH has the documents which were released by LE.

Well, Did Casey file tax returns? If not, why didn't George and Cindy wonder why? hummmmmmmm.

Is there a link for that?? I'd like to read it. Thanks :)

I don't know. I lifted "The Globe" quote from another poster. Try googling "The Globe", perhaps, and then search for "Casey Anthony' on "The Globe" website.

I'm not sure if that poster got the quote from the online paper or from the paper paper, itself.

You ask why we're discussing this, yet you argue with everyone who states an informed opinion on the topic.

I work with a commission that assists women with obtaining benefits for their children. I'm not speaking with zero experience on this topic, nor basing the information I'm presenting on an anecdotal situation based on what one relative's experiences might have been.

Section 8 housing does not just cover slum situations. Many people who own homes accept Section 8 because it's a guaranteed rent payment that is never late. Lots of single-family homes are Section 8 eligible. Check out the Orange County website--there's a list of some decent homes there that accept Section 8 vouchers.

A lot of people who apply for state and federal benefits are decent, good people. I hope we're not going to perpetuate a stigma about that.

All I'll say on this topic...unless you wish to continue the discussion.

Padilla told Eyewitness News he hasn't spoken with Casey since he helped bail her out of jail last week. His focus is finding 3-year-old Caylee. Over the weekend, the family received several hundred emails that Padilla's team needs to sort through.

"Some have anonymously given us information. The vast majority think that the child is alive, that she is with friends of Casey," Padilla said.

The 22-year-old is said to be in a better state of mind since her release and apparently is ready to cope with what's ahead, whatever that may be.

"Being around your family is a lot better than being in jail," Padilla said.

Casey Anthony was given permission to leave her home any time after 12:30pm Monday, but she must be back home by 3:30pm.

Is there a link about the items in the dumpster????? Is this another "false alarm?"

Murt, on topix, called the States Attorneys office, he has an internet show, they are sending him a packet this afternoon. It is real! Call the SA and ask.
