I agree, God bless her, after all she's gone through to be reaching out to help find little Caylee.

Utterly selfless and magnanimous.

Casey obviously has self-esteem problems. From what has now surfaced about the Anthony family dynamic it is much more so. I guess I'm speaking from firsthand experience. I have only spoken of this a couple of times but my mother WAS CASEY ANTHONY TO A "T". And even tho my grandma was pretty close to Cindy - she wasn't a "denial" person. I grew up in it - I watched it - I never understood a whole lot of what was going on. As I became more and more of my own person and growing older certainly lends new insights to things you don't comprehend, I put more and more pieces of the puzzle together. Now, my mother never did anything as sinister as this - her behavior was CA day in and day out. That's why I'm saying the Feb seizure "misfired" something. Casey could not longer control Casey. She couldn't perform anymore and she still had the "family dynamic" top deal with along with Caylee growing older.

I believe it was the "beginning of the end" for her.

Just wanted to say that seizures do not change your life like that. You simply live the same life you had before. My son has seizures and there is now way they have changed who he is or was.

But my understand of TE is that in order to join in the searches, you must be background checked first...so I don't know about volunteers. Maybe I am wrong.

Joe's searches have all been background checked, so they're good to go.

It is used to externalize massive amounts of internal pain. When you take the big pain on the inside and make it small pain on the outside, it's more manageable. Sorry to jump in, but I was a teenager not long ago.

Yes...this is exactly how my student explained it. Thanks for your much more eloquent explanation. :blowkiss:

The Feb sizure may have "misfired" something, but why was she allowed to drive with a history of a seizure? Unless the seizure was alcohol induced????
We don't know the diagnosis of the seizure. Just that seziures are a symptom of sociopaths (among a lot slew of other things). I am saying her brain wasn't fried - not to the point where she couldn't function (drive, eat, LIE, whatever). Just her thoughts - that she was so good at controlinng and manipulating were "misfiring" and even thought she thought she was "still so good" as her lying games - she really wasn't.

The threads are moving fast so I don't know if this has been mentioned. I've been working on a timeline and I am TOTALLY CONFUSED because it states in the incident report on the written in Page 318 that on July 15, 2008 George at the tow place (on the second visit) to pick up the Sunfire said the following: He had just found his daughter, but his granddaughter was missing!

HUH? I thought the finding of the Sunfire being towed, the smell, finding Amy's resume, calling Amy, led to the discovery that Caylee was missing. But George was telling the tow yard employees this BEFORE HE GOT THE SUNFIRE!

Something is ROTTEN and it ain't pizza.

So, I have been out of town for work for the past 10 days and haven't kept up with all of the news. Would anyone be willing to summarize the top 3 things that have happened?

I know that Casey was bonded out, I know about the adoption discussions and an ex fiance/friend calling her a sociopath...

Sorry to be a pest, but want to jump back into the convo as "educated" as possible.

Gracias

well, after further reflection i have come up with a new take on the grandparents. they are probably in deep realization of what has happened and this may be one of the very last times they ever have their daughter in their own house. im starting over with them, they have acted like we were all crazy but im cutting them some slack from this point forward, BUT if they go wild again and come out ranting and raving and saying stupid things,

i reserve the right to go back to the way i was thinking which was that they are just in total denial...and stupid

but im starting over with them - they may be stupid and raised casey in a stupid way but since i dont know that for sure.. im cutting some slack.

certainly, whatever mistakes they may have made - they did not deserve any of this. and im sure they loved caylee very much and probably were the ones that took care of her better than anyone else..

so, not only are their hearts broken because the grandaughter is gone and probably blame themselves to some degree. to make matters worse their heart is broken again for what their daughter has done..

i dont think they could take much more... and i am going to say a prayer and send them some dough.. not for a defense- not for anything else but for them to simply survive...

close your eyes and try for 5 seconds to imagine what they are going thru

look, im a heartless old bastard ( for the most part ) but this is too much for anyone to handle..

i knew she killed her baby from the get go and never once changed my mind
not when the smoke screens were flying all over the place

and she needs to pay but the parents are paying a thousand times over.....

im trying to be a better person.

But Casey and Lee told each other things that mom & dad did not know about. Lee might have know what she ment. Or that was what that whole Patrick B. visit was all about. Casey says something to Lee about a Mike on that phone call. Does anyone know if LE Tony has a roomy with the same name?

I'm catching up and don't know if anyone clarified Casey saying she wanted to call Mike. That was an error by the transcriber. She's actually saying she wanted to try and call it a night.

or --she put her in a dumpster and doesn't know where the body is now - or - she did "hand her off" and doesn't know where she is -- no conclusions possible and no lie...

Those were my words almost exactly earlier. The truth within the lie.

I wonder about the counselor telling Cindy to kick Casey out of the house. Surely the counselor didn't advise sending Caylee with her if Cindy or counselor felt that Casey is a sociopath. I'd like to know if Cindy took Caylee also and was beginning preparations to see an attorney for custody.

YEP - we caught that earlier today. HOW did he KNOW at that time that just his granddaughter was missing? That was before Cindy had tracked down Amy to take her to Casey. Interesting statement from George. I still think he's gonna end up arrested before this is all over. He KNEW SOMETHING!!!

I'm kinda stunned...for Beth...I don't know what to say, and that's rare for me.

I don't know how she can deal with the lies and manipulations that have come from the Anthony household. She is one helluva woman, gotta give her that.

i THINK its plain and simple "she is doing it for caylee" not cindy, george, casey or lee just CAYLEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY STRONG OPINION ONLY

I don't believe much of what Cindy has said through the past five weeks, but I do believe Cindy was speaking with knowledge and honesty when she told Ryan that her daughter is a sociopath.

That's not a word that just rolls out of the mouth. Maybe psychopath. Maybe "crazy," but for her to specifically say that Casey is a SOCIOPATH...well, I'll trust her on that one.

I do think that Cindy 1) either researched Casey's behavior and ultimately came to that conclusion, or 2) that diagnosis was provided by a mental health professional.

Keep in mind though that both terms (psychopath and Sociopath) are now lumped together as one and is termed "Anti social personality disorder" in the DSM IV. So if she were diagnosed it would almost surely be with ASPD not Sociopathy so I doubt Cindy got the name from a doctor.
