I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I'm way behind; been away today.

Has LE checked the gas guage/sensor on Casey's car? Supposedly, that is why she took the gas cans. According to Cindy on Greta's interviews, Casey told them that she had ran out of gas before and was afraid she was going to run out again so she took the gas cans. So, I have to wonder if the gas cans still had the gas in them when George found them on the 24th. If so, it can be one of two things: 1. She wanted them for the reason Cindy said, or 2. She hadn't had the opportunity to use them for disposal purposes.

I was praying that little Caylee would have been home today. Happy Birthday Caylee - beautiful little angel.

But don't forget that George also claimed that he saw Caylee with a stranger at the mall/shopping center one day after they moved out as well. ???

K, say they did find Caylee's remains near sawgrass apts, and they didnt have any forensic evidence linking to Casey's car. Even though ZG never lived in those apts, would that be enough reasonable doubt to get Casey an aquittal, or would they even have enough to charge her with? It would all be circumstantial, and her story would be "partially" collaborated. maybe LE doesnt want to find her near sawgrass.

That is a good question.....but think of ALL the circumstantial evidence. There was never phonecalls from or to a Zenaida on her phone or any other nanny. Noone else physically met this imaginary nanny that her name could be Sharah or Martha or whatever name Casey chose to name her. Police is checking every name on Casey's phone registry. That is a big evidence against Casey. Someone would have reasonable doubts if there were such calls, if there was communication with a person that was the nanny whatever her name could be.

Then add the lies about the dates, waiting 31 days to report the child missing and actually not reporting it because it was the grandmother who reported it. Possible physical evidence in the car, etc. etc.

Also the police are recnstructing everything with accurate details. For example if Casey told Tony that Caylee was with her parents on the x of month, and for the same x of month the grandparents were told Caylee was with a nanny, again evidence against Casey.

I think the police only worries about how to find Caylee and bring her home. I don't think they care if they find her in the ''wrong place''.

Finding her body at or near the apts. would be more circumstantial evidence but, imo, they definitely need the biologicals from a decomposing Caylee to be what was found in the car trunk.

Quick! heres a test....just to see if we are observant....now pay close attention.....what was Casey wearing the last time WE saw her???

:waitasec:

Oh ya! A dark blue county jail inmate outfit, with pink handcuff accessories! Maybe it IS possible to recall details of one's clothing after all!

Well, if he says there was an odor, and he is ex homocide......well you know what I'm saying, we would all say he was full of BS. Oops, we already do! Too late George! IMO of course

why did 2 weeks go by before they recovered the car. That must have been SOME SMELL if it were still that strong weeks later.
George & Cindy didn't know it had been impounded until they got a notice in the mail, as I recall. He then went to pick it up on 7/15. If the biological fluid is what I think it is, yes, it would still smell especially if the car had been sealed (windows up) in the heat for 2 wks.

No that is incorrect I believe. It was a couple that are friends with the Anthony's told the Antony's they saw Cayse with Caylee in a shopping centre/mall.

(this is my speculation not a reported fact: And the police must have called them in to make a statement, and perhaps went to the mall and see if they could get some video footage?)

Who saw her at the shopping center then? And why was she wearing the same outfit described by George?

A registered letter was supposed to have been sent to them, but they didn't get it or track it down till the 15th (I think)

This is very plausible. Especially if that was truly the last time George saw Casey and Caylee. He might not have been able to remember precisely what they were wearing if that moment was ordinary, commonplace. That is, if they never disappeared and he had continued to see Casey and Caylee in a manner consistent with the normal routine of their lifestyle. But once that moment in time became the last time he saw them, the instance could have reasonably become fixed in his memory, especially what with George and Cindy probably rehashing the whole Casey-left-with-Caylee business between themselves during the period up to Cindy's 911 calls.

You might not ordinarily remember what food you ordered from your most frequently visited restaurant on your 15th visit ago, unless something very unique occurred on that visit to help form stronger long term memories of the entire visit.

I don't think it is strange that he remembers what Casey and Caylee were wearing on that date. I can remember what my husband was wearing on the night I first met him 9.5 years ago. Maybe George made comment to Caylee about how cute she looked in her denim skirt (I think is what he said she was wearing), etc. Things like that stick in my mind.

This may have nothing to do with it, but when I was in college taking Criminal Justice courses, we were told how important it is to be observant and aware of your surroundings. The professor had different scenarios happen during class (outbursts, someone ran in our class, etc) only to see if we were paying attention. We were made to fully describe the person who came in for less than 10-15 seconds -- height, hair color, race, clothes, etc. George is former LE so maybe that helps....I don't know. Heck, I don't know what to believe at this point. It's so heartbreaking.

Sorry if this has aleady been asked, but on the third 911 call, Cindy is talking to the 911 operator and then she says to someone else in the background, "Caylee is missing, Zanny took her." Since Lee and Casey were talking, Lee would have known that and obvously Cindy knew that. So that was George that she was talking to, right? So we can assume that up until that point, George didn't even know about the car being found, or Casey being home. That's one of the things I am unclear about.

Just wanted to post this. I made this today for Caylee and I also posted it on the Happy Birthday Thread. It made me cry and I thought I would share it with others that love her as their own!

That was beautiful...thank you! Granted, I didn't get through the whole thing. I broke down at about the 2 minute mark. I'll finish it later.
