That tells me that if the staff couldn't ID the Zenaida, that admits to looking at apartments there, then Casey could have been there and they don't remember her either. I'm telling you, I really think Casey was in the office at the same time Zenaida was and that's the connection. Casey has a lightbulb moment and now has the story she's going to tell everyone when they ask where Caylee is. So she starts telling Cindy and everyone about Zanny the Nanny. I doubt Cindy ever heard the name Zanny until after June 17th. Cindy has a bad habit of stating things as fact that she's conjured up in her mind. I also think to pin the disappearance on Zanny, Casey disposed of Caylee in a dumpster at Sawgrass.

According to Mark Furman the police brought twelve photos to the staff, including one of the ZG that they had identified. Both employees picked the ZG they identified out of the photos. They could not identify CASEY.

I don't think the car did smell like that. I think that's what Cindy told 911 to "finally" get them to get involved. I think Cindy "thought" that Casey would tell LE where Caylee was, which is Cindy's motivation in everything she is doing. I think the "smelled like a dead body" statement skyrocketed into places Cindy did not expect. I think that Cindy and Casey don't think far in advance. Again, I think Casey left the car in an intersection that her mom passes everyday to and from work, and expected her mom to see the car with her purse in it, and freak out, get scared, hurt. etc. but didn't think past that except to think, she will never see me or Caylee again, that will show her! The "dead body" smell was a Cindy "that will show her" thought as well. Again, it's all about control for Casey, and Caylee for Cindy. Both lie to further their cause. It just got wayyyy out of hand, and now the whole world knows their dysfunctional relationship. I think Casey has Caylee hidden, maybe in Porta Rico, or who knows, but I think she is ok. jmo how this will end, idk, if they charge her with murder and she ends up on her way to trial, I think she will tell then, but probably not until then. jmo
George noticed it as well. So did LE. The pants smelled like the car and therefore needed to be washed. What could make the car smell that bad? And no one say pizza!!

I don't think the car did smell like that.

The car did smell like decomp. Detectives testified to it at the bond hearing and since then George himself has admitted it smelled of decomp when he picked up the car.

I think Casey knew that at some point in time her family, and in particular, her mother would confront her about Caylee's whereabouts. Casey knew she needed a cover story, so she came up with the "Caylee kidnapped by babysitter" story and took a few steps to make her story sound credible. She probably went to the Sawgrass Apts. and took a tour in order to become familiar with it. Somehow during that tour she came across the name of Zenaida Gonzolas and decided to use that name for the babysitter.

You and I are on the same page Leila.[/QUOTE]

Doesn't jive. No one that works for Sawgrass ever remembers seeing Casey there.

Then the previous article quoted is incorrect. I've also seen it stated elsewhere that the staff could not ID ZG or Casey. Who to believe? Argh!

And I can't tell you how many articles posted say that the staff couldn't pick out ZG either. Media misreporting or what?

This just seems a little far fetched for me.. Why wouldn't Casey have told LE the make and model of Zenaida's car if she took the time to run the plates? Also if she had done this she would know that Zenaida did not live there as her plates would not have been registered to that address.. I think it's a little far fetched, just looking at the pictures of Casey having a good time at the club leads me to believe that she was not one bit worried about Caylee.. I think she made her lies up on the go as she was asked questions. Just like dragging LE through Universal Studios just to turn around and say "ok, I lied, I don't work here"... this was not thought out in my opinion...

Thats doesn't jive. Cindy also told reporters AFTER Casey was in jail that both her and George knew it was the smell of a dead body as a nurse and former cop. I know the link to this clip is out there I just need to stop being lazy and find it. I'm kinda getting tired of having to repeat this fact. :)

You're correct. George also pulled the investigator aside on day one and told him that his daughter was not being honest.

But then things changed, they became Casey's biggest cheerleader. At first I thought that LE had asked them to support her in public to get more info from her, but at this point that does not appear to be the case.

Also, George seemed so genuinely hopeful after his jail house visit with Casey - he seemed to really believe that Caylee was coming home for her birthday.

Nothing adds up with these folks.

I don't think my post said anything about plates or cars. I'm referring to Casey standing in the office at or around the same time ZG was there.

ETA: I did not post the post you were quoting.

I thought of that, but she may have thought that she just moved there. There has to be a reason that she knew ZG was there on the 17th.

The 17th was her planning day, she was totally cut off from everyone.

The 18th was her disposal day.

It cannot be a coincidence that ZG was there on the 17th, and she must have gotten the info from somewhere other than the "visitor card".

When responding to a post please hit the quote button. And when snipping down a post, please a (quote) needs to be at the beginning and ending or they don't show up correctly after you hit submit. It gets rather confusing and hard to tell who's responding to who about what.

Sorry.. I was also referring to earlier posters who stated that she may have run Zenaida's license plates...

I have a question, if the ZG that they interviewed on the news has 4 kids and no jobs, then why was she looking at higher end apartments renting for $1000-$1800 a month? Not saying that she is being untruthful, but isn't that a bit out of the price range for someone in her situation?

She might have a job and be applying for other, better-paying, jobs. If she's a single, divorced mom, she may be getting child support too. She must have some source of income.

lol, sometimes the quote function gets messed up in one post and then it plain gets weird after that. And sometimes it is a glich. Although I haven't see that happen here in a while.

If it can be proven by receipts or cell phone pings that Casey was out of the area on the 17th, then Zenaida looking at the apartment will just be a coincidence.

Just adding the details from the report saying the Sawhill staff positively IDed ZG.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,400001,00.html

MARK FUHRMAN, FMR LAPD HOMICIDE DETECTIVE: Greta, we're standing in front of the apartment, 210, right upstairs here at the Sawgrass apartments, where on June 17, a woman by the name of Zenaida Gonzalez actually came into the office here and asked and was interested in renting an apartment.

Watch Mark Fuhrman's analysis

This name is the name that Casey Anthony gave detectives initially, the name of her nanny, and brought the detectives over to this location -- not specifically this apartment, but this complex -- and said this is where the nanny lived that she had been dropping Casey off for the last two years.

Now, ironically, Zenaida Gonzalez came in here on June 17, and she was actually shown this apartment right up here. Now, she filled out a guest card. And the guest card management says they only take the name, they take the phone number and the e-mail, if they want to give it. They don't get a signature. They don't write it in their own hand.

The management here was very helpful in helping us out to try to separate between somebody that's name is Zenaida Gonzalez and Casey Anthony. Are they one and the same? I'll tell you what I found out.

First, management says, in the office, people that actually saw Zenaida Gonzalez, they looked at her, and she was visibly Hispanic -- visibly Hispanic is how they described her -- dark hair, above-the-shoulder hair that was coarse-appearing with a slight wave. Now, she had brown eyes. And some of the interesting things that they do when they actually get an application is they run a credit check and a criminal check. Those are two things that they didn't get to because a full application wasn't made.

Now, the detectives that came here just today, they brought a 12-pack photo lineup. They had 12 photographs in that lineup, and in that lineup was somebody that they believed to be Zenaida Gonzalez. Now, there were two people that were shown those photos, two people in the office that actually saw that woman in the office on June 17, and both of those parties in the office picked out the same person.

Now, I asked one of those people, Was the person who you picked out in that photo Casey Anthony? And she said, Absolutely not. Well, we tried to back up some of this information by taking the phone number for the office here and contacting our source on the phone records to see if on the 17th of June or any time in that period between the 16th and the 18th, that Casey Anthony called this office. The phone number was not on her cell phone. The number that was left on the guest card was the cell phone.

Greta, it seems rather complicated, and I would agree with anybody, how does Casey Anthony know the name Zenaida Gonzalez, and how does she know that Zenaida Gonzalez even came over here to actually get a guest tour of this apartment? Well, I mean, the answer will have to be that Casey Anthony and Zenaida Gonzalez are either one and the same person, or they crossed paths at some point, or Zenaida Gonzalez's identification crossed paths with Casey Anthony at some point, or they have a third party that they both know. Either way, the person that came here on June 17 by all indications was not Casey Anthony.

Didn't we establish that she was married? I thought she said that her husband was waiting in the car.

On another note:

Somehow Caley must have believed the the apartment she was leading LE to was at least occupied, right?

It's not like she wanted to go to jail, she had almost a month to come up with a story - everything she said was an easily refutable lie. She must have made a mistake, she must have thought that something she was saying would seem somewhat plausible.
