Caylee Anthony General Discussion Thread #75

Reading the beginning of the thread, I'm feeling that the general consensus is that Casey said that Caylee would be home for her birthday. Somehow, I think I missed that on the news. I do remember George saying that Casey wanted to be home for her (Caylee's) birthday though.

Can someone please refresh my memory about this or direct me to a link? TIA :)

The car did smell like decomp. Detectives testified to it at the bond hearing and since then George himself has admitted it smelled of decomp when he picked up the car.

See, I think George knows and his suspicions began on or about June 24, 2008 when Casey was adamant she didn't want him to open the trunk, but she did open the trunk. George asked her where Caylee was. Casey gave the nanny answer, but George's instincts were already into high alert. It was very assertive behavior for George to insist on getting into the trunk to the point that when Casey was adamant she didn't want him to, he said he would go get the spare key and open the trunk himself. With all the dysfunction and bullying by Casey going on in this family, that was "against the grain" of usual conduct for George to do that. He stated that when he picked up the car from the wrecker in July, it smelled of decomposition of a body. By the time Cindy retrieved Casey, she most likely knew it. This is against a backdrop where Cindy had been asking to see and talk to Caylee for a month. Caylee was clearly missing -- she was the only one missing and there was a decomposition smell in the car. Without the decomposition smell, I don't think Cindy would have called 911. I think before she went to pick up Casey, she and George had decided that if Caylee wasn't with Casey at TonE's apartment, then the GPs would get LE involved.

Then, remember when George and Cindy both went to LE for a very long interview and then back the next day? I think George put his foot down and was trying to protect Cindy at that point. He insisted she had to go in and tell everything she knew. He went with her to support her. Remember, at that time, when LE called the house they wouldn't talk to Cindy -- only George or Lee. George was concerned that Cindy was becoming a "person of interest" -- like an accessory after the fact. Did you know that an accessory to a crime is just as criminally culpable as the principle criminal who did the act? IMO, George was into a protect Cindy mode -- and possibly himself. That's why Lee was acting that way too -- mostly silent, but listening to Dad. Lee knew the first jail conversation was taped, but he asked Casey a lot of questions. Lee had already signaled he was on board to help law enforcement -- as George had. Then, Lee and George put the pressure on Cindy to cooperate. Just IMHO.

Mom did too. I heard it repeated throughout the day today.

Good night all. Welcome all new WSers!

Sweet dreams, dear Caylee.

She told them that Z drove a new Ford Focus.

Wow! I did not know that. That makes the exact spelling of her name due to a license plate search even more plausible.

Florida is one of only 11 states that allow such a search. It can be obtained for less than $12.00 - she could hide her tracks with a prepaid credit card from Walmart (or similar) and an Internet connection at a library.

No one would be suspicious of someone taking a trash bag out of their trunk at an apartment complex dumpster- if the body was found she could blame it on ZG.

Only one problem - she does not want the ZG that she saw to be identified - she claimed the ZG photo LE presented was not the same ZG ----why would she do that?

Interesting....

I just went to Casey's Myspace page and it is now set to PRIVATE...

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=10472558

(Cindy and Lee's pages are still public)

The status message on Casey's page now says:

"Please visit www.helpfindcaylee.com! Due to time constraints and messaging abuse this profile will no longer be updated. Please find Caylee!! ~Lee Anthony"

I am sure that Lee has been inundated with vituperative messages and comments for his sister on her profile. Which is a waste of his time, and a enormous drain on the tremendous amount of emotional energy and inner strength it must take to wade through the hundreds of messages on 3 different profiles and a webpage on a daily basis for some tiny clue about the whereabouts of your missing three year old niece.

I do not envy his untenable position. :(

My guess is that the Casey answer to not identifying this ZG in the line up will because "it would have put Caylee in danger". That is her hide behind reason for any lie she gets completely backed into.

Sad but true... I wish Casey would get her act together and fess up. WHERE IS CAYLEE??????

That certainly fits her MO - but doesn't someone other than herself need to take the blame? I've been reading these pages since thread 54 - it's mazing how a seemingly unintelligent liar can become so enigmatic - I think we all want to find some method to her madness - it's possible that we never will.

So then how did Casey make her car smell enough like a decomposing body and find body fluids to py into the trunk that would show up under a black light? Isn't that going a bit too far or the sign of a really twisted mind?

I read that Casey was 1/2 credit short of a diploma. wow, is that short sighted or what? She could probably fulfill it by one community college course, and yet...
I don't think the car smelled, and the body fluids are a "possibly" from LE, it could be oil.. or gas from those gas cans...no, LE is trying to build a case, Cindy is trying to force Casey to tell her where Caylee is and using everything she can to do it, and Casey is stubbornly getting her way which is keeping Cindy from Caylee, but wow what a way to get her way. Casey doesn't think ahead thus all the lies that get found out so easily. Cindy underestimates her daughter's stubbornness. Casey knows her mom really does love Caylee more than her. Check it out, Cindy had her daughter arrested, thrown in jail simply because she wouldn't tell her where Caylee was. She accused her of grand theft auto, cc theft, and finally, "a dead body smell in the car". Casey is sitting in jail simply because she won't tell LE where her daughter is. She is one stubborn young woman. I wonder how long she will sit there before she has had enough. I heard they would have to let her loose around August 17. Maybe she is just waiting it out. She is NOT going to give her mom the satisfaction of getting Caylee back, and will disappear when she gets out, but I think Caylee is ok, just hidden. The reason I think this? bc Casey has not shown any emotion except when her mom was saying nice stuff about her on the stand, and really all Casey really wants is her mom to love her as much as she does her daughter. I don't think Casey has hurt or would hurt Caylee, she just wants to hurt her mom, and doesn't recognize that she is hurting everyone else in the process. I think her friends know where Caylee is, but they aren't gonna tell. jmo

The page was pulled down almost immediately after Casey's arrest and the messages which gave a good look into Casey's frolicking activities during Caylee missing were pulled with it. Some were able to be saved.

Yosande,

You're correct. The 911 calls don't get to the smell until call number three. I think that George and Cindy intended to take custody of Caylee - maybe not legally, but they wanted to become her primary caregivers.

It does seem that Casey was jealous of their relationship with her daughter and that that her parents were not satisfied with her abilities as a parent.

I don't think the car did smell like that. I think that's what Cindy told 911 to "finally" get them to get involved. I think Cindy "thought" that Casey would tell LE where Caylee was, which is Cindy's motivation in everything she is doing. I think the "smelled like a dead body" statement skyrocketed into places Cindy did not expect. I think that Cindy and Casey don't think far in advance. Again, I think Casey left the car in an intersection that her mom passes everyday to and from work, and expected her mom to see the car with her purse in it, and freak out, get scared, hurt. etc. but didn't think past that except to think, she will never see me or Caylee again, that will show her! The "dead body" smell was a Cindy "that will show her" thought as well. Again, it's all about control for Casey, and Caylee for Cindy. Both lie to further their cause. It just got wayyyy out of hand, and now the whole world knows their dysfunctional relationship. I think Casey has Caylee hidden, maybe in Porta Rico, or who knows, but I think she is ok. jmo how this will end, idk, if they charge her with murder and she ends up on her way to trial, I think she will tell then, but probably not until then. jmo

Cadaver dogs, that are trained to only alert on decomposing human remains, alerted on the trunk of the car in addition to hitting on three separate location in the Anthony's backyard. LE has found a stain in the trunk of the car and strands of hair that are the length and color of Caylee's.

I think it's more than Cindy and others concerned about the smell of the car. The forensic lab results will be the deciding factor.

George noticed it as well. So did LE. The pants smelled like the car and therefore needed to be washed. What could make the car smell that bad? And no one say pizza!!

imo, George says what Cindy wants him to say, and LE is trying to build a case, so they say what they need to. Could they really have kept Casey in jail if the car didn't smell? I don't think so.

I don't think my post said anything about plates or cars. I'm referring to Casey standing in the office at or around the same time ZG was there.

ETA: I did not post the post you were quoting.

There's a number of posts that have incorrect quotes. Everyone needs to remember to use the
that appears on the lower right of each post.

This is so far past your speculation of a rhyme or reason. Dogs also hit in the yard, LE is not wasting time running oil stains . The decomp odor is a reality and Ms Casey is not walking free. As it stands she is currently looking at six years and there is even more evidence to be produced.

Casey left little Caylee at a stairwell with an invisible sitter ZG. Also a story she refused to change and still stands by, the date Jun 9th. Caylee was with her GMA on Jun 15th Father's day, proof of video, verified and testimony on the stand. Casey's father George now said he saw both girls at home on Jun 16th. Yeah Caylee has been hidden away by Casey since June 9th. We all want to know where she hid her as well. I suggest per you that if Casey's friends actually do know where Caylee is, they better immediately tell LE. Especially since Casey has now said Caylee is in danger. This coming directly from a woman in isolation with only three taped visitors allowed 3x a week, Mom, Dad and Lee and recorded phone calls.

And the pants, Cindy said the pants smelled, and only Cindy, and when did she talk about the pants? this week, and she called LE back to get more stuff that was in the car, also conviently washed already, why? because no decomposition in the car and LE got the results, thus the new evidence that isn't really evidence at all, just stuff to keep Casey in jail a little longer. I'm tellin ya, she wants Caylee back, and is manipulating everyone to do it. But Cindy has met her match in Casey who gets her stubbornness from her mom.

Yes for running them on a wild goose chase, while lying the entire time. Especially since Casey told 911 her daughter had gone missing 31 days ago.

The key you seem not to understand is DNA, dirt, fibers, etc., ect. Cindy may be over the top but she demonstrates she still wants Caylee home safe and sound.

Not only do the 911 calls not get to the smell until call number three, but they don't get LE involved until then either. It was the smell statement that finally got them out there.
