Caylee Anthony General Discussion Thread #77

We think alike, Leila. Look for my post...

I don't criticize the parents either, but I think George and Cindy have been dealing with Casey's behavior for many years and they are at a loss as to how to handle this situation.

They - George, Cindy, and Lee - need counseling by a professional in order to learn how to deal with all that's happened. Not just this immediate situation, but the pattern of Casey's lies and out-of-control behavior that they've dealt with for so long.

They need professional help to deal with the loss of Caylee and with what the future holds in regards to Casey.

The only way for Casey to get out of this mess is for Caylee to show up unharmed with an admission of guilt by a kidnapper. I don't see that happening...ever.

I agree... and for her to admit a diagnosis and start taking meds would have an impact on her case...

I don't think she's doing that at all...

I'm sure she loves having someone come talk to her about how she's feeling though

Actually, she just might take the diagnosis and meds. This would give her something to "blame" as being wrong with her. Additionally, IF - and that's a big IF - she is talking to a therapist in jail, that therapist might be getting to some things about her parents and she might be angry at what's happened over the years.

Now don't go yelling at me! I'm just saying that if they have shared any info with her and approached her issues with her parents at all, she might think that she does not want them anywhere near her and, as April said, she might be thinking that the therapist is her saviour. Just a thought.

Has there been any more talk of when the dna and tests done from the trunk and home will be back? I'm so hoping that Casey isn't one of these murderers that are never charged because there's not enough evidence and no body.

Greg on FOX said the most honesty that has come from the family is when Cindy said it smelled like there had been a dead body in the car.

I'm maybe the last to catch up and hear about the refused visit with the parents. It isn't very surprising. For all we know, they did some small thing she didn't like and now they must be punished. I wonder if she holds it against them that they aren't affluent enough to bail her out? I also wondered of she might try some move to portray herself as too down and depressed, with the passing of Caylee's birthday, to deal with visitors. Yuk.

Don't you find it odd that her "best friend" (Kristina?) who had a prominent role in the 1st jail call we heard has *never* been interviewed or anything?
I read a Cindyspeak the other day in which she talked about Casey's friends contacting her for advice on whether to speak publicly.

She advised them not to because of the intensity of the media pressure, telling them "Your life won't be the same."

Of course in her case, that's very true.

On the other hand, I'm not sure Cindy is someone I'd go to for advice of any kind. Well, maybe if I had an orthopedic issue.

It's possible they've been asked by LE not to speak to the media too.

Gosh, that's kind of harsh. Cindy gave them good advice, I don't see why the rest of the comments are necessary.

Aprilshowers, I have hesitated to respond to your honest posts, because they have hit a bit too close to my own childhood.

I might PMl you, once I can get my thoughts together....

Oh no ... I understood what you were saying. :)

Thankfully, I'm on medication now and have had therapy ... but still to this day, I'm very emotional and tend to fall back on some problem areas, when things are unstable in my life.

Thank goodness I have God, my faith in him, my medication and my cats :D

What do we know that Casey can be charged with, if LE knows Caylee is dead?

Obstruction, can this be multiple counts?
Neglect, again can this be multiple counts?
Something to do with a corpse
Manslaughter
false police report
theft
possibly forgery
destroying evidence

there has to be more.....

Why do so many people believe that Casey has a mental illness? I for one believe she is just an extremely compulsive liar. She doesn't have to be a psychopath to lie.

She has the diagonsis of LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!

He was a public defender & now has his own practice . . . but let me dig more b/c I know I saw where he was appointed by the court

KrimeKat, he is NOT court appointed, he is a private attorney as registered with the Florida Bar.. As a standard practice, a PD gets assigned automatically if someone does not have an attorney of record when they are arrested. This did happen but it was not Baez, and if you check the OC "myorangeclerk.com" you will see the note of the order of PD withdrawl of that individual, which is simply a formality as they never acted in her behalf and should be off the docket, which as I said was ordered. He and Walsh are retained by Casey, with unspecified terms as to the matter of payment or pro bono status of their representation.

I don't see it either and your post made me think of something else noticeably missing from this case ~ any appeals to the "kidnapper" to safely return Caylee, or an offer of immunity if they'd just drop her off someplace safe, like church or hospital. I realize the 2nd option would have to come from LE, but the first one could be from the family.

IMO the "friends" are no longer there. I mean at this age most friendships are pretty superficial(i'm 23 and that's my experience) and the fact that she has been lying to them about what she does, work, school, ect. I doubt they have any reason to consider her a friend at this point. She's most likely just become a topic of gossip and the subject of many jokes.

I'd be happy to be proved wrong and eat my words, but I too don't see that happening.

murder

case in Ohio this is the website of a man still claims to be innocent convicted without a body, followed this case believe he was guilty

The players, yes. I can see LE suggesting to Amy and Tony and anyone who might eventually need to testify to watch what they say.

But there are a boatload of people (on myspace alone) who have varying degrees of familiarity with Casey who you'd expect to see crawling out the workwork. Take that Patrick dude who showed up at jail.

Those folks have no involvement whatsoever in Caylee's disappearance, yet for some reason seem a little reluctant to come right out and admit to being her friend, or even knowing her.

Even if she has no friends, we'll take the parade of acquaintances for $200, Alex.
