Of course Casey could have put anything down for a retainer. But she doesn't have a pot to piss in, so how could she have retained him? Besides these type of cases take tons of time and that means he's probably not working on anything else. Not working=no income.

I bet he is thinking of the future here...um book deals....appearances on various talk shows. While he may or may not be getting anything at the moment his pay day will certainly come...I guarantee it

I sent you a detailed response to all your postings on the other thread. I MUST respond to your answer to goldtooth. YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT!! I forget who on this site has the "stigma" quote, but this is why we have to speak up about mental illness. We are all different and each one of us has different life experiences. Often our mental health is determined by the way we've been brought up. I'm not blaming anyone, it IS up to us to get help, but initially we don't seem to know why we do what we do...we just do it. Again I will say to you, you are very, very brave to say what you are saying. As much as everyone dislikes Casey - including me - I can honestly see that something is and has been wrong for a very long time. I do empathize with it - even if I can't stand her behavior and what she has probably done to Caylee. Just my opinion.

But yes ... you are so right! I'm not saying it's not hard to live WITH a Borderline, but it's SO hard BEING a Borderline! Just imagine how hard it is for us to KNOW what we've done to those we love, and some of us, aren't able to stop without the RIGHT therapy and medication.

I think the answer to that lies in the same reason LE is not releasing the last few visits to the public that they fought for the ability to- I do expect there to be charges (add'l) in this case this week, and yes, SS I do think she will be implicating anyone she can

If this goes to trial you can bet Casey's going to talk about her mom's own wild behavior when Casey was just a child and how she was just living the life she'd been taught. Casey will play the victim even then too.

are you saying you think she'll take the stand and testify?

Follow the money. Where is the money coming from? Who would pay for Casey? It seems as if no one really likes her and her friends recognize her for the cad she is. Who is footing the bill?

You know that call she made to Lee on Aug 2nd that just was released? The 30 some odd second one asking for Jose? Lots of questions about why she'd have Lee do it instead of calling Jose herself. (Hell, she wouldn't even have to call, she just needs to tell LE at the jail she wants to see him, I think.) Perhaps Mom and Pop aren't paying for it, but one could suspect that Lee is.

I can see it now. She used her mom's stolen credit card to retain her attorney. Nothing like implicating yourself for the forgery your parents have accused you of while getting legal representation.

Lol, it was pointed out by posters previously that the Anthony's probably don't have the 50K to bail Casey out because she ran up 45K on her parents credit card. How ironic huh?

It would be unconstitutional of her not. She's been interviewed with by a psychiatrist. I'm sure they have a diagnosis of her if she does indeed have mental health problems.

Unless she admits to being guilty she won't be able to blame her upbringing - a person can't say they didn't do something while at the same time blame someone else for making them do it.

To not provide her with medications and medical care is considered cruel and unusual. So, yes, she would receive those things, if she sked for them or the authorities were told that there was something already prescribed.

Why do so many people believe that Casey has a mental illness? I for one believe she is just an extremely compulsive liar. She doesn't have to be a psychopath to lie.

I agree that she is probably extremely intelligent. Just because she wasn't in college -- doesn't mean she isn't smart. Some people just don't want to apply themselves.

I am not saying Casey has a mental illness. I have no idea; haven't seen her to diagnose her. All I am saying is - as goldtooth already pointed out and April and I shared info also - she does seem to fit this diagnosis. That's all. It doesn't have anything to do with being smart or going to college. The thing is, the compulsive lying is coming from something. There "appears" to be an underlying problem.

Oh I'm thinking that if she went to trial for murder the dramatics of her upbringing would be what she uses for sympathy.
