Caylee Anthony General Discussion Thread #77

Panthera that's a possibility too!

I think that Cindy and George are desperate to have Caylee back. They'd prefer her back alive, but if dead, at least to mourn and to bury her. I also think that they love their daughter despite her faults and they will step up to the plate to support her even if they despise what she's done.

Cindy has said that if Casey is responsible for doing something to Caylee, then she's where she belongs. That won't stop her from still loving or caring about her.
Caylee should be their only focus and let Casey fend for herself with her lawyer. They'd still love me as parents do, but my parents wouldn't have put up with these lies for one minute!

Who Casey? It appears the guards don't ask and the inmates don't have to tell. So I guess all the Anthony's got was a call saying it was cancelled and no reason given.
No Cindy...why she wasn't able to visit the other day...that wasn't when she "feared" visiting? I'm confused (obviously!).

Well, this is getting very suspicious to me. Refusing Lee and her parents...is she getting ready to implicate someone other than herself here? :waitasec:
Maybe cancelling the visit was a pre-emptive strike on Casey's part, to keep the balance of power on her side just in case the family decided to cancel the visitation appointment.

Sorry to bring up a different subject, and I hope it doesn't get lost in the discussion of the not-surprising refusal of Casey to see her parents. They need to go on a cruise, and send her postcards.

Actually, you have an idea there!

Lots of us might donate to a fund to send all three of them (Cindy, George, and Lee) on a long cruise, with a very good psychiatrist along to help them come to terms with Casey, and how to get over it.

Even those of us who are mad at them for the way they have stumbled through this ordeal. We all think we could have done better, but it is so easy when it isn't your child.

Just as many parents divorce after the death of a child, this could destroy Cindy and George's marriage, and Lee will have a very hard time recovering. A long cruise with some psychitric help might help this family re-bond and get some perspective on how to re-build their lives without Casey and Caylee, alas.

I wouldn't feel sympathy for her. She has put her family through hell. She has put her friends through hell. She has screwed up ZG's life and she's cost the city quite a bit of money because she couldn't take responsibilty....

I think the only thing that would change the public's opinion of Casey at this point is if the story about protecting Caylee and the family by not talking turns out to be true....and that's not going to happen.

Also that was the day the Anthony's were notified that the charges were going to be official so another reason Cindy didn't go to that visit.
If that's the case, why "punish" her for that? No...something more here....

Of course Casey could have put anything down for a retainer. But she doesn't have a pot to piss in, so how could she have retained him? Besides these type of cases take tons of time and that means he's probably not working on anything else. Not working=no income.

Maybe she gave him a credit card number :waitasec:

Why do so many people believe that Casey has a mental illness? I for one believe she is just an extremely compulsive liar. She doesn't have to be a psychopath to lie.

I agree that she is probably extremely intelligent. Just because she wasn't in college -- doesn't mean she isn't smart. Some people just don't want to apply themselves.

Compulsive Lying and psychopath's IMO, are personality disorders not a true mental illness. But I'm not an expert. And she's done more than lie about college here.

If this goes to trial you can bet Casey's going to talk about her mom's own wild behavior when Casey was just a child and how she was just living the life she'd been taught. Casey will play the victim even then too.

Actually, I see it pretty simply-this is so the tapes of the visits are not released. It is a strategy, imo. If someone already posted this, please forgive.

I have been inside of several county jails. no, i am a convict! many of the girls i have be-friended who are doing "county jail time", tell me they can't wait till they actually get into the state prison system, they have better food, chances at schooling themselves and more personal "contact" visits with loved ones. County jail is hard time to them.
And in prison they can buy their own food, snacks, etc as well as smokes, sodas etc. They may have arts & crafts, movies, etc. A way better situation then sitting in jail.

No Cindy...why she wasn't able to visit the other day...that wasn't when she "feared" visiting? I'm confused (obviously!).

The other visit that was scheduled with Cindy was cancelled and Cindy said that was because they were notified of the "official" charges. The tit for tat comment stemmed from the visit that was ended abruptly (I guess when Cindy and Casey got into it a bit). At least that's how the report came across. Of course I could be wrong-as I'm finding out lately LOL. I woke up thinking today was monday until someone straightenend me out on THAT. :bang:

I think the answer to that lies in the same reason LE is not releasing the last few visits to the public that they fought for the ability to- I do expect there to be charges (add'l) in this case this week, and yes, SS I do think she will be implicating anyone she can

He was a public defender & now has his own practice . . . but let me dig more b/c I know I saw where he was appointed by the court

Here, I'll try it again.
07/18/2008 -- Casey Anthony hired defense attorney Jose Baez to take on her now high-profile case in which officials are searching for her 2-year-old daughter.

Maybe she's working it off by doing some even coordinating for him? Or some photography work?:stretch::stretch::stretch:

I can see it now. She used her mom's stolen credit card to retain her attorney. Nothing like implicating yourself for the forgery your parents have accused you of while getting legal representation.

Yes, it was another Cindyism. I can't remember what it was cause I blocked it out. lol

What if Casey came out though and admitted this was an accident? Public opinion would change and you would then have a small group that would feel sympathy for her. LE couldn't charge her with murder at this point. (I don't even think they can charge her anyhow . . . )

Why could she not be charged with murder? I totally see at least Second Degree when the body is found
