A (former?) poster here SAYS Cindy accused TES of stealing the money. That doesn't make it true. I don't know who got the money for the videos. 20/20 says they didn't pay for them. The Anthony's attorney says George and Cindy did not get a dime from them. Can you state factually who got the money or even that money was paid?

Someone on here received an email that Cindy did INDEED accuse TES of stealing donations. 20/20 never said they didn't pay for pictures - they said they didn't pay for the interview.

I am sorry we do not have the sympathy that you seem to have for Cindy. She only imo plays victim when someone asks her the tough questions - go watch the video of Mellich's interview with her. When he tries to pin her down, she pulls the I'm-the-grieving-grandmother card. The rest of the time she points her finger at people and accuses them of things. She is NOT nor has she EVER BEEN a sympathetic figure. moo

She has never searched that anyone can find. She just tells people to get off their azzes and search for Caylee. Has there been ONE video of her going to Blanchard Park to look for Caylee (where Casey SAID Caylee was kidnapped? No but she sure wants to send LE out of the country to look for Caylee. She accuses LE of not looking for Caylee when they have documented evidence that they have indeed looked for Caylee. They went to Sawgrass WITH CASEY and had CASEY point out the apartment where she calimed to have left Caylee with the nanny. The apartment had been vacant for months before Caylee went missing. I would dearly love to see ONE INSTANCE where Cindy actually looked for Caylee. Can you show me that?

JBean: I agree. I'm just siding with some others who think that the timing is strange. I feel that they should be looking for their g/d and not setting up a foundation that some suspect to be for alterior motives. And I'll be the first to admit that I am waaaaaay too emotional about this whole, sordid tragedy.

At our office we file our new corporations, foundations, etc. through sunbiz. Off the top of my head it's rather easy work once the client knows what he or she wants. After we set up the corporate documents in house you simply go online and put in the information (in pop up windows) and submit it (with payment). You get the filing information back online and you can pay for certified copies and other things too. I haven't seen a form filled out by hand in years that is why I question the attorney involvement here.

Could be, I haven't looked at that site. In my state the incorporation documents have to be sent by mail (won't even accept a fax) and stamped with the official state seal for them to be recorded in the county the corporation is registered.

I may be in the minority here, but I think CA is trying to do a good thing. In my opinion - she is going to start a foundation in memory of Caylee. She will then put the money that was in the find Caylee fund into this Foundation. I think CA is coming to realize that Caylee is not going to come home alive, so using donations to look for her is useless. What direction the foundation eventually goes in, we will have to wait and see. I also think CA did not think this whole thing through, nor did she ask for legal advice about it, but just went ahead and attempted to get the ball rolling on it. I will sit back and wait to see what happens with the foundation, but I think CA is starting down the road that leads to admitting Caylee is dead - and for that I have to feel so very sorry for her. what a nightmare.

If living well means trying to face the fact that your beloved granddaughter is deceased and that your daughter is a murderer who will, if she's lucky, spend the rest of her life in prison - I'd rather not have that 'ticket to ride."

I don't see where Cindy is living well. Is she spending money like it's going out of style? I know someone complained that she had the nerve to get her hair cut, but other than that what do we know she's spent money on?

it wasnt so much the fact that she got her hair cut. It was that she took the time to primp when she could have been out looking if she believed there was something to look for. it just felt like a self centered act on her part and reminded me of her daughter. I know people need haircuts but if you are in a crisis I would think that would last on youe list of prioritys.

And I really really hope that is what's happening.

maybe the reson cindy is so hostile to TES is that if she were coooperative people might expect her to give the donations to tes and she doesnt want to do that so she attacks them.

If Cindy had gone out the first day and had her hair cut, I'd agree with you. This has been going on now for 4 months, I see nothing wrong with Cindy taking 30 minutes or so to get her hair trimmed. She needs to have some moments of semi-normalcy, don't you think?

EDIT to add: If I had a friend who was going through what Cindy is going through right now, I'd take her by the hand and insist that she get out of the house, get a hair cut, maybe go to lunch or buy a new dress - anything to escape the pressure and stress for just a little while. I guess that makes me evil too.

You have to understand there are other uses for foundations. One cannot assume that it is being used for something illegal or unethical.
There are foundations that do not rely on donations of others. So to refer to some of us as naive is inaccurate.

This is absolutely correct. I have personally seen Foundations set up solely to distribute money to charitable organizations. I have seen Foundations that take absolutely no money from others and the only incoming money is interest on the capital contribution (which will one day logically be exhausted). In fact, most of the Foundations I have seen are strictly to funnel money from deceased rich people into the hands of the needy and poor.

Yeah, we used to send ours to Tallahassee for processing but now that everything is online it speeds things up. Now even our county courts are wanting things sent online! Technology is amazing.

You claimed that she in big trouble. I disagree. She is not a party in a law suit and there is no indication that she's attempting to hide money in a non-existent foundation. A person who is NOT party to a law suit is allowed to do whatever they want with their money, how could she possibly be in trouble?

I am not saying she is in trouble...........I believe if there is any trouble which involves her, it will be for obstruction of justice. If LE didn't feel sorry for her situation I would bet money anyone else would have already been arrested for just a part of the things she has done to keep the truth from coming out in this case.

I do believe she is "filling up the syringe" for KC's capital murder case by keeping on with these insane ramblings about zanny. By keeping this going (which is not going to work in court) she is almost guaranteeing KC will get the DP because KC will not plead it down if given the opportunity.

My Quote:
That is what I just said............she is going to get in a ton of trouble if she is tying to bypass the courts and any judgment ZG will receive.

Doesn't Cindy have other more pressing priorities to think about right now, other than setting up foundations? Within days of her daughter being indicted, arrested and charged with capital murder? And what about the need to search for Caylee, if Cindy really believes she's out there and needs to be found? Why the rush to set up some sort of foundation when all these other urgent things are happening right now? Seriously?

I wish I could agree with you that she has accepted the fact that Caylee is dead.

If she wanted money to go to missing children, why didn't she just ask people who wanted to donate to give their money to a legitimate find-a-child organization in Caylee's name? Why, instead did she start a NEW foundation with herself as the sole listed proprietor? I have far too many questions of what this woman is doing based solely on her past behaviors.

Chilly, I don't think it is about the hair cut at all in the public's mind. I believe it because she has never spent the first hour looking for that baby. Any normal person would have been at that apartment complex (if they believed she disappeared there) canvasing every apartment to see what anyone saw. She said LE told her not to, but they said they didn't at anytime tell her not to do her own investigation.

She got on TV and told people to get off their azzes and look for Caylee, but never spent the first hour in the woods herself. A normal person would have searched Blanchard Park from top to bottom if that was the last place KC saw her and "IF" she believed KC. NONE of them did, so to the public they look as if they are just greedy, money hungry people looking to make a buck off a dead baby.

I have not chosen to believe her intentions are good or bad since I (and apparently I'm all alone in this) don't know what her intentions are. :waitasec:
Oh, CW...you are never alone!

I am not sure she can put money from book or movie deals into that account to avoid the tax. In my case the production company sent me forms requiring me to report it as income on my taxes. Because there were certain things I wanted some control over, my contract was written as "consultant."
My attorney told me that was standard wording. I still have a copy of the contract. If I can locate it I might can tell you more. It's been awhile so I dont recall every detail of it.

Perhaps the timing has to do with the fact that NOW is when the money is being donated and that internet posters harassed the people who were running the trust to the point where it had to be shut down. Who knows?

I totally agree. There are MANY legitimate organizations who really do look for these children which by the way she has never done for her own granddaughter.

She could take the money she has received and made donations to the ones which have helped her with T-shirts, sign, etc. instead of setting up her own foundation which obviously from the paper work she knows NOTHING about.

This in my opinion is something which reeks of more ways to collect money on a dead baby.
