Caylee may be cremated

I wouldn't be surprised if Caylee's remains were cremated. I think it would be easier for the Anthony family and I can't imagine that Casey would care what happens to her daughter's remains in any case.

What I am wondering is if the Anthony family will ever have a private funeral service for Caylee or whether there will actually be a public memorial service for Caylee that is open to the public?

Personally, I think this case has brough so many nut cases out of the woodwork, that there is a real and significant risk of somebody digging up Caylee's remains to take and sell pictures of.

I pray that Caylee will be cremated, and soon, so that she can finally rest in peace.

Enough is enough. Put this poor sweet little baby to rest.

ETA: I'm not saying that the As don't have another motive for cremation. I just really don't care to be honest what their motives are. There are so many nutcases, low-lifes, and the greedy hovering like vultures around this case, I just think the possibility is great that Caylee's remains would be dug up for pictures to sell, and I don't want that. MOO

I don't know why Mr. C even made a statement to the media on behalf of the Anthony's indicating "there are bad people out there who might dig up Caylee remains for profit". Goodness, gracious there are so many famous people buried throughout this country and they have yet been dug up to make a profit! What a ridiculous statement! :furious:

I agree with you Miss Patti! It's a ridiculous statement. I really liked Mr. C when he arrived on the scene. I thought for once the Anthony's had someone in their corner that gave it to them straight and they had begun to see the light of the real world. I fear he's finally took a drink of the Anthony kool-aid from the recent comments he has given to the media.

Personally I think the Anthony's have been so quiet and haven't spoken to anyone because the longer they remain silent the MORE their "first interview since Caylee was found" will be worth to the highest bidder.

I don't have feelings one way or another if Caylee should be buried or cremated. That's a personal decision left to family members. Whatever the choice. It should have taken place already, so this little girl can be honored, memorialized, remembered and loved like anyone deserves to be after death. She shouldn't be lying around in a cardboard box in some random funeral home for weeks. It doesn't take weeks to plan a funeral or a memorial, no matter what the circumstances of death.

There has to be some sort of motive for them to want her to be cremated. There are lots and lots of famous people, murdered kids, etc. out there that are buried in the ground. Have they been dug up, yet? No...so why would they be so concerned about Caylee? Especially now? They should have been concerned about her when she was alive. JMO

If they cremate the remains they are only doing it so she cannot be exhumed and retested down the road. They are destroying all the evidence. MOO

I can see KC having JB keep Caylees remains{If cremated} , cause she thinks he is gonna get her off the murder rap, I will be suprised if she releases them to G and C

Dr. G. fully explained that there was no ANTEMORTEM trauma
I believe she said there was no perimortem trauma--trauma that occurred around the time of death. This includes immediate postmortem trauma, though I don't imagine she would feel it necessary to include details about the activities of scavenger animals, and so on.

I just finished re-watching the ID press conference. Pg. 41 of the media links thread post #1007

First I watched just Dr. G's official statement - 3:04 long - she talks about antemortem trauma - "no antemortem trauma" - this means before death. No where did she mention post mortem trauma.

So, then I watched the second link - full press conference including the Q&A section - 21:36 long - no where does anyone mention or talk about post mortem trauma - including animal activity.

Not asked, not answered, not mentioned.

Thanks, Swag--I hadn't rewatched.

Can you tell me if she used the word perimortem?

nope - only term used was "antemortem" and she went on to explain to lay people that it meant no trauma to the bones BEFORE death.

Cremation is, ofcourse, a family decision. The question is why did BC think he needed to bring it up and then justify it with an outlandish, potential horror story ?

I wondered also why JB would say in open court, for the whole world to hear that he is the one KC has given control of Caylee's remains to. What was his purpose, his motivation? Seems like it's a dig to me. MOO

I'm finding this guy a little more tacky every time he opens his mouth.

I tend to think that they'd follow cremation because it's cheaper. I was surprised at how much cheaper it is when my grandmother passed recently. Of course, we didn't have a service (no one to show up) or wake either.

It's just remains, just a shell. The soul is eternal.

from MyFoxOrlando.com states that they have spoken with Brad Conway and that one of the decisions they are considering is having Caylee's remains cremated. Conway feels that there are bad people who would dig up her remains for profit.

VIDEO: Caylee may be cremated

I KNEW this was coming. They are just using the "bad People" as as excuse to destroy any evidence. So LE can't come back ever and do more testing.

Cremation should be blocked until Dr. G has a chance to check the bones to see if there is a hole the size of DC's little tool. Or whoever does testing like that. This needs to happen before evidence is destroyed.

And now all of a sudden the A's have the authority to cremate? I thought KC had supposedly given it to JB? Something not right.

A POST-mortem trauma to the bones of this nature would be noted in the "autopsy" report already done. In other words, if there is a trauma of this nature I would assume it would already have been noticed and documented.

He likes the idea that he has control of Caylee's remains. There is no dout that he will eventually fight for Casey to have them in her cell..I seriously don't think that Casey will ever sign them over to her parents, nor will Baez.

I can't comment on their decision of to or not to cremate Caylee's remains. I know exactly what I would do in the circumstance. Besides, if cremation has been discussed, it has been Casey doing it..George and Cindy don't have any rights to her at all unless Casey gives it..When Baez said that he was carrying out Casey's wishes, I believe it is her making the plans for Caylee.
I would never ever judge based on the method, as I am sure its not easy either way they are planning it..And I don't think it has anything to do with money, or cheapness, or anything to that nature. Its obviously a personal choice.

Agree. With the latest presser out of BC, I am not believing any of this until I read that KC/JB have released custody of Caylee to the A's for the purpose of holding a funeral and/or memorial.

According to JB telling the judge last Thursday during the hearing, DrL will be in Orlando at the end of the month three days for a seminar/conference and will be available to view Caylee's remains and the SA's 800+ photos.

So unless this timeline changes I don't see any movement towards finalizing the battle of the wills for Caylee's remains.

Counter, I agree with you about what JB told the judge and that there likely will not be any movement on her remains until the end of January (according to Baez).

I personally don't like it (the waiting to bury her or whatever) but no one gives a rip what I think (nor should they, I guess)!

However, we don't know if there even is a "battle of wills for Caylee's remains". For all we know the A's could all be totally on board with waiting to test her bones more! Maybe they are so concerned about Casey that they are willing to do what Baez thinks needs to be done!

In my humble and possibly wrong opinion, I really do think that one reason that they are thinking of cremating little Caylees remains is that they are sick and tired of "sharing" her with the public at large. Millions of us have come to think of this small precious little girl as one of our own. Our hearts are broken. But I don't believe that they want a grave that will be surrounded by offerings from strangers who to them , have no right or place to do so. The A's have shown marked disdain and anger towards those not only in the media ,but for just plain citizens who have not agreed with their take on any phase of this situation. I think that instead of blaming KC, they blame anyone and everyone else for the misery that they feel.

Let's hope we're wrong but I agree with you.

Exactly - so why did he make this statement ? What's he trying to spin on the A's behalf ? Any ideas ?

I'm starting to realize that what the A team says is no where near as important as why they are saying it.
