I am so confused, why would jeremy call deborah's phone that is supposedly not working. what was the point of her getting a loaner phone in the first place?
I guess she had no intentions of having her phone service restored, transferring all those #'s or jeremy wasn't going to pay a bill that was not his since he had a work phone to use.
Just weird that she would buy wine instead of paying a phone bill but then again that was her decision she has different priorities then I do

BBM = That right there is why I think that their phones were already on partial restriction (allowed only incoming calls) for the allowed amount of time, but that on that particular afternoon, since their bill was still not paid, they were transferred to total restriction.

I assumed that the 2 phones were on the same plan "bill", maybe I am wrong. So if one was "restricted" so was the other, idk

The point of getting the loaner phone was to replace her phone that had speaker issues so she didn't have to buy a new phone. I believe no provider would have transferred service over to the loaner phone from her broken phone until the bill was paid. I know AT&T has a 10 day grace period on the bill and if I haven't paid by the due date but am within the grace period they will not let me change anything until the bill is paid. I am pretty sure most providers have the same such policy.

Why is it assumed that Grandpa's phone was not working and that she had it turned over to her service? Why couldn't grandpa just let her use his phone and his plan. When I wanted to put a phone on my service, I had to bring the phone into a Verizon store to do it. Grandpa said she was programming the phone Sunday night...meaning she was putting in her contacts...real simple.

DB clearly said three phones were taken and ONE wasn't "even" working. How and when it evolved to none of them working remains to be seen. I assume lawyers did the spin...with a little help from Jeremy giving a mumbling remark.

DB also said she failed QUESTIONS on the poly. When followed up, she minimized and gave one question..misleading people to think it was only one. In reality, it was most likely more than one. It was rumored she failed miserably.

I have a phone on my daughter's plan. I would assume if the bill was not payed both phones would lose service.
So if there were 2 phones on one plan, one for deborah and one for jeremy and the (3) third phone was the loaner.
She "says" she was programming them, I have wondered from jump if it was a cover for the phones being turned off for nonpayment. Just seems Soooo convenient that all 3 phones were in the same spot. Everything about the night at that house was a kidnappers dream. Window open, Door unlocked, Lights on, and 3 phones on the counter for easy pick-up. And the best part is the parents don't want to talk about it.

bbm. it isn't assumed. here is a post from a few pages upthread by indepmo that quotes a post that DB's father made on FB about the phones. FWIW. that isn't just being pulled out of nowhere.

This is what I saved

Debbie's cell phone had been acting up and the speakers and microphone on it were continually only working intermittently. So Sunday October 2 <Modsnip> my Dad gave Debbie his old plain jane phone that has NO way to collect contact information on it. Debbie transferred the service from her old phone to the one that my Dad (her Grandpa) gave her. When she went home later that night she had both of her phones out and started coping numbers one by one into the phone she got from her Grandpa. She didn't get them all done of course so she left them on the table. Jeremy's PERSONAL cell phone was also on the table. These 3 phones were the ones that were stolen.

It has no WAY to collect information doesn't mean it was NOT working. Lots of assumptions going on around here. The simplest explanation is he loaned her his phone to use till hers got fixed.

FGS, if she drove to Verizon to switch the phones, she could have given Verizon her beloved broken phone to repair.

DB's father appears coached in those statements. I thought it was her gramps phone, not her father's. He may have used the word "service" and meant "contacts'. To my kge, you have to bring the phone into the Verizon store to sign it into service. In his detailed statement, he neglects to state that she did.

BBM Wouldn't that be an assumption as well?

....no. It is my theory and an explanation and one that is reasonable.

The phone that she got from her grandfather was an old unused extra one that he had...like the 7 that are sitting in my file cabinet ;)

Wasn't working as in BROKEN as opposed to disconnected.

I gave enough fodder for the day...outter here.

I will return though...

If you walk into my moms house - there are two cell phones sitting on the counter right inside the front door every single day after work, until morning. Why wouldn't they be together? She was copying #'s to the loaned phone and then just left them there...why would she separate them?

In my opinion so many people are jumping to conclusions and nit picking at the most mundane things that have absolutely no bearing on anything ... there is a massive hate going on for Deb because she was unfortunate enough to have her baby kidnapped on the night that she had a few drinks with a neighbour.

Well that changes everything. Why would he give her a broken old unused phone, when she had one in the drawer that was found by LE according to the warrant.

maybe I should take a break too.

I am not seeing the same thing that you see, sorry

I don't believe it has ever been suggested the phone lent to lisa's parents was broken.

as far as the irwin's phone found in the drawer - we have no way of knowing if it was operable or not - or if it was a type of phone that could be activated with their cell phone provider or not.

I quoted Sparklin, thought that was what she implyed

the phone that Sparklin was referring to as "broken" is DB's old phone, which is the reason she got the phone from her grandfather. it was physically broken, it had a speaker/mic issue. i don't have a link, i believe the source of that information is from a family member on facebook, but i could be wrong. does anyone have a source for that?

ETA: d'oh, i just posted the source upthread. it's from the post by DB's father.
