Cell Phone Activity Discussion Thread #2

the phone that Sparklin was referring to as "broken" is DB's old phone, which is the reason she got the phone from her grandfather. it was physically broken, it had a speaker/mic issue. i don't have a link, i believe the source of that information is from a family member on facebook, but i could be wrong. does anyone have a source for that?

I believe it was mentioned in a news cast within the first few days that DB's phone was broke and two were w/o service.

If you walk into my moms house - there are two cell phones sitting on the counter right inside the front door every single day after work, until morning. Why wouldn't they be together? She was copying #'s to the loaned phone and then just left them there...why would she separate them?

In my opinion so many people are jumping to conclusions and nit picking at the most mundane things that have absolutely no bearing on anything ... there is a massive hate going on for Deb because she was unfortunate enough to have her baby kidnapped on the night that she had a few drinks with a neighbour.

A box of wine is a bit more then a few drinks, jmo

I will stick with the last person to see baby lisa as the one that needs to step up and answer some ?'s about what went on that night.

As I said I am not biting on her story of copying #'s,not me, not today.

She had a borrowed phone and 2 that were cut off for failure to pay, and the 3 were all together on the counter, nothing more nothing less.

I am just not biting, sorry

I don't believe it has ever been suggested the phone lent to lisa's parents was broken.

as far as the irwin's phone found in the drawer - we have no way of knowing if it was operable or not - or if it was a type of phone that could be activated with their cell phone provider or not.

...and there in NO information availabe that says Gramp's phone was a verizon phone either. There was no information that said DB went to a Verizon phone center and had it put on her service either. Like I said, if she would go to a Verizon Center to register Gramp's phone, she would go there to get her fancy phone repaired.

Conclusion: She was using a phone owned by her grandpa that worked and was most likely paid and on his plan or a family plan

Out of the horse's mouth herself, DB stated ONE phone didn't work. She never mentioned out-of-service. It is on video.

Not MOO but fact:
It is not clear if Lisa Irwin was kidnapped or if other circumstances occured. I don't think there is necessarily hate going on towards this mother, I think there is shock, disbelief, and confusion as to why this mother nor her attorneys arent calling the media reminding the public or "potential kidnapper(s)" that there is a $100,000 reward for returning this beautiful baby. That stands out to me more than anything. Sure, this isn't the movie "Ransom" and Mel Gibson isn't involved, the Irwins or Bradleys don't have millions of dollars, and you only see ransom demands in movies. Money motivates people. Sometimes a $1,000 reward is good enough for one family member to rat out another family member for breaking into a house or business. Sometimes a $10,000 reward gets someone to come forward to rat out a murderer who ran his mouth to a friend. All I hear in this case are crickets chirping, and now that it's "cold", the crickets are gone.

DB's father gives a lengthy explanation of what she was doing on Sunday night as far as programmng her phones. How does he know that? I suggest he was coached to use the words he did regarding the phones and put that out there for DB. He wasn't at their home; he simply offers up what DB was doing at her home on Sunday night. What was going on there on Sunday night? Maybe we need to go back to Sunday for clues.

DB implies she was programming the "phones" on Monday and left all three out to charge. The phones must be sensitive. Not one of them is very clear in their explanations, even though Dad tries his hardest.

So when did they go to Verizon for the lousy phone her gramps gave her to be put on her account? May I suggest...she never did?

Maybe he was coached. And maybe not. And maybe Mr. Netz is a nice man who sincerely believes in his daughter. I don't know Mr. Netz but seeing him on TV, reading his interviews and emails he seems like someone who speaks from the heart and not from subertfuge. On Sunday there was a birthday party.

So who took DB to Verizon to put new phone in service?

It has always been my assumption that the lended phone to them was for use because the other two phones either didn't work or didn't have service.

The question is the info we have is the MW came from DB's phone. I take the wording 'DB's phone' as one of two phones, not the lended phone. So, if she was given a phone from the grandfather to use because her phones were restricted, why would she purposely try to make a call to MW using one of her 'restricted' phones when she could of used the 'lended' phone?

Not sure what you mean. Her phone had service at some point ...she gets a working phone....she transfers the SIM card and she has a working phone right?

you don't need to go to the Verizon store to switch phones. you can do it online or by phone. sources:

and:

How do I activate my device?

You can activate your device online through My Verizon. Not registered? Register for My Verizon.

Make sure you are signed in to My Verizon, and go to the My Verizon Home page.
Click on the Activate or Switch Device button under the “I Want To…” section.
Select which wireless number you want assigned to the new device, and click Next.
Note: Make sure to back up your contacts before activating a new device.
Enter your new device’s identification number in the New Device ID field.
Click the Submit button.

City, I don't even know if she places the call from any of those two phones. Maybe it was placed from gramp's phone?

Maybe it was a wrong number? Maybe it was a return of a wrong number from one of the other two phones. I just don't know. Heck, now I can't even remember what time the darn call was allegedly made.

We have not been given clear information concerning ownership or calls made.

verizon doesn't use sim cards :) but it is as easy as going online or calling them.

If she had a fancy phone and gramps had a plain jane...I doubt she could switch cards. I've been w/Verizon for years. In all my encounters, I have to bring the phone in. They have to register the serial number. I can't switch phones at all w/o bringing it in.

Picerno told Fox that it was DB's phone that attempted to call MW's

And had no idea that Verizon didn't have SIM Cards LOL
