tater, huh?

Tater, we are usually very friendly here @ Websleuths. A big welcome to you! Everyone else might want to read the TOS, and refrain from making fun of other posters, even just user names. I am not a Mod, but I have been here a while. Lots of great info on this board!

Crazy, huh?

I had attempted to answer many previous identical questions concerning the pics to no avail. If I thought this was a serious comment. I would have gladly attempted to answer it again.

The info about CD's panties being stolen was in the redacted docs.

Color me confused on this one - but didn't Cheryl live alone? Who would know if her panties were missing or not?

Cheryl may have shared the information to a close friend or family member.

Oh I must have missed that. You mean she reported things missing BEFORE she went missing. ok. I was wondering how anybody would know what of her personal things would be missing without her there.

I want to add something to the list of questions.

What happened when Hilton was 14?
If we could find the answer to what Gary Hilton confided in his friend Dino, in Jr. High School in Hialeah, FL., almost 50 years ago, I believe we would know.

I just read the article and comments. I'm getting the impression Hilton never went for the ATM money because he was destitute. It was part of the mind game: "You give me this, I'll give you that." Some people likely thought if they didn't give up the PIN it would give them time to be found (like Emerson), and then others maybe believed him a bit and thought he wants the money, give it to him, maybe he will let me go. But I'm thinking probably neither was the right tack. He was going to kill them either way. He just enjoyed watching their reactions. That's what I'm getting. Just depended on how much time he had to play with his victim, as to how much he carried out this part of the cat and mouse game he played.

It was the dead of winter when he abducted Emerson and Dunlap. I didn't think he worked for Tabor in those months. Why would he have had a dolly, etc then anyway. Wasn't that seasonal work he did for Tabor? I'm still stuck on things Wolfscratch mentioned.

You know what they say about fools minds. I was just pondering on why GMH, allowed his victims to live for extended periods of time. Other serial killers like Robert Hansen and Bobby Joe Long toyed with, taunted, and sexually tortured their victims much in the same way GMH, did IMO(placing the lease around her neck after abducting her at Blood Mountain, is exactly what Bobby Lee Jones, did to his victims).
The life expectancy of an abducted child is virtually less than 24 hours. I unsuccessfully tried researching the same info for women over 18 years old.

I did find this article from this link interesting:

That was interesting yet another cold call to somebody from Hilton's defense team (info from that article). Hilton must be yaking quite a bit. That would be a hoot if he is really trying to save his gnarly skin.

huh?

Ask Wolfscratch what rapeling and fires have in common. I don't get it.
Do you climb into a burning building? I don't know.
Raise ladders and tools, lower victims from upper floors, emergency escapes during flashovers etc.

The point of the comment is that I am very familiar with that type of rope and its behavior. FFs have to be able to tie and untie proper knots under fire conditions without visibility. Each knot has a specific function, to be able to know what knot to tie or untie under fire conditions.
This is one way I was able to track or verify GMH's campsites or staging areas where ropes were left. He knows and uses the proper knots for the specific job.

The redacted document said that CD had reported her home being broken into and the only things mssing were some of her undergarments. This stayed in my mind because the same thing happened to my neighbor.
CD reported it to the police, I believe.

FYI:
There were frantic calls repeatedly made on 9/7/07 by Gary Michael Hilton to Hilton’s doctor, an Endocrinologist, dealing with Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Internal Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia,(GA), who recently (May 2009) settled an issue by agreement with the Georgia Board of Medicine for Public Reprimand, and was fined $7,500. Hilton was prescribed Ritalin and Effexor without following proper procedures.

July 9, 2006: Group Criticizes Effexor Maker for Failure to Warn
The Medical Accountability Network, a private nonprofit organization dedicated to ethical issues in medicine, criticized Effexor maker Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for failing to adequately warn about the risk of;
‘homicidal ideation’
associated with Effexor use. ‘Homicidal ideation’ (homicidal thoughts) was added to the Effexor XR label in November 2005, as one of the drug’s rare adverse events. The Medical Accountability Network says that the warning was not well-publicized, and that Wyeth failed to send letters to doctors or issue warning labels announcing the change….

do you think this repeat domestic abuse was our CD or was it the other Cheryl Dunlap?

Also, if she did make a report and complaint, there is nothing on the Wakulla website that shows it - odd.

I just checked my link and it didn't work. I hope this is legal to do if I copy/paste

Hilton grew up in Atlanta, whats up with this????

Gary Hilton was born in Atlanta, GA, but obviously moved to South Florida later.

This cache found in the woods whether damning evidence or just plain junk-something he should have made his counsel aware of? Reword-was he obligated to let them know about its existance?

  • #339
I have been mostly lurking on this discussion for quite some time. I do have something to add but understand that I am not going into detail for several reasons. First of all, I knew GMH from age 14 - 17 in Miami Florida. I went to school with him. He attended Miami Springs Junior High School in 9th grade and then entered Hialeah High School in 10th grade. He dropped out of school in either his junior or senior year in high school to join the army. The last time I saw him in person was either 1963 or 1964 when he stopped by the high school I attended and told me he was joining the army. When I knew him he lived in Hialeah with his mother and step father. Hialeah is a large suburban city within Metropolitan Miami area. The incident referred to at age 14 was a domestic disturbance between him,his mother and step father. His step father was shot during the disturbance. His step father lived, it was a juvenile court issue, no charges were filed to my knowledge.

He called me in 1982 when I was living in another state. He had gotten my phone number from a family member in Miami by telling them he was someone else, representing a fictitious company and needed to get in touch with me. We spoke briefly and I hung up on him because he seemed to be talking very strangely. I had no contact with him after that.

I have been contacted by the Public Defenders office in Tallahassee, therefore I do not intend to say anything in detail here that could possibly affect any potential testimony I might have to give at a later date.

Don't know if he was obligated or not, but after talking to the investigator from the public defenders office, Leon County, Fl. I was struck by the fact that I was asked whether I thought that GMH actually murdered over 150 victims. This told me that he hasn't been totally honest with them.
When GMHs defense Attorney had his first interview with him after the abduction, torture, rape, murder, mutilation, and decapitation of Meredith Hope Emerson. He came out of the room shaking his head, white as a ghost, and mumbling to himself; I have never heard anything as gruesome and gory in all my life! His attorney, an experienced Attorney, has dealt with many evil criminals over his career, but none that came close to GMH's evil...
