Clarification of Expert Witnesses WARNING!! snippy

  • #61
am I reading JB wrong? In 4 (b) of Fairgrieve, is he suggesting that since the dogs alerted on the trunk, yard, etc and NO BODY was found in any of those places, that they're obviously not reliable? He uses casey's right to confront her accuser (the dog) and "the fact that the alerts resulted in negative results for human remains".

Is he for real?

BBM. Oh my GOD. I would PAY to see Casey confronting a dog on the stand. The visual of that in my head is HILARIOUS. Seriously? The dogs are now Casey's accusers? ROFL!

And we can't forget the tow yard man who said there was a car that smelled similar ..when a man had commited suicide in it.

I also believe mythbusters did a show on how difficult it is to get the decomposition smell out of a car. (almost impossible)

BBM. You guys are KILLING me. I'm so wanting the prosecution to call in Mythbusters to testify to this. "So it's almost impossible to get the smell of decomp out of a car. Casey, you are BUSTED!" ROFL.

Mythbusters: Casey Anthony - In this newest episode, we'll not only bust the myth that Caylee wasn't in the trunk of the car, but we'll also bust the myth that nannies can be imaginary! And finally, we'll explore the myth of "smoke" and "mirrors". Will that defense actually work for Casey at trial? We're going to find out for sure!

Well POTUS had Mythbusters bust the ancient legend of Archimedes’ solar death ray so why not?

^^ Who's thinking even the dog would make an idiot out of Baez from the witness box?

"Good boy!" "No, the treat is not for you, Baez." I bet he would get jealous seeing someone pet the cadaver dogs in court, LOL.

For some odd reason, I'm picturing "Astro" in a suit, in the courtroom, sitting at the defense's table saying, "Rut Ro"!!!

I sure hope Jb doesn't start looking for Zanieda's dog. Cindy says" You know if there is a dog there must be a Zanny".

my only question is, will JB have a career after this trial?

I mean, every single week, it's something else just as foolish and embarassing and simple-minded as this ...

Thanks Beach. I'm just used to working with an entirely different class of the legal profession. Never in all my years have I seen such work product garbage. But again I only work in Federal Courts so you tend to see a different level of professionalism. But his level of disrespect for the Court is astounding. Truly. I've never seen anything like it before.

I bet JA laughed his 🤬🤬🤬 off when he got this in his hands. I know I would.

So what happens next? This is SO FAR from what the Court ordered him to produce I cannot imagine that the SA and/or HHBP will just let it slide - or will they?

Can the judge call Baez in and order him to do it right (again)? Or does the SAO have to file another motion to compel?

If Perry doesn't put his foot down pretty soon, Baez will just continue to push and push the limit.

Forcing him to comply with a court order is not an appellate issue.

You are reading him right.

It is ALL HE HAS.

I'm confused. JB claims for many experts that he can't say what they may be testifying because he doesn't know what the SA experts will be saying. But he does, doesn't he? He's had their reports (per Mr Ashton) and they would contain the expert's opinion. So how can he say he doesn't know what they may claim?

So it's pretty much confirmed. They have no defense, no alibi, etc. It's simply going to be an attempt to gimmick their way to a not guilty verdict by crafty use of counter-experts. Shameful.

Is he really arguing that since dogs are a "tool" they shouldn't be allowed to be used?? This is so poorly written and lacking in any type of critical thinking, I don't even know how to interpret it.

I agree. It appears he took a law student and asked him/her to throw this together. JB probably didn't even read it before he signed it.

IMHO - ICA is toast.

how much do you guys wanna bet that JB et al are cruising the "blogs" tonight to see how their experts' theories are going over?

heaven forbid they should look over the evidence that the State provided...they will also go along with that since there is no cause of death for Caylee.....(you all know the drill) how can the State say murder/or charge death penality? (again we all know the logical response is NO 2 YEAR OLD WANDERS OFF TO THE WOODS--NO PARENT doesn't phone for 31 days...)

shameful but not surprised in any of it considering the source...after all betcha jb had to give up his weekend....

2003 season. Episode 7. :)

it seems to me that all baez can think of to do is allow her tons of appeals later on for insufficient counsel. why doesnt he just give up now? I'd much prefer she was convicted with an EXCELLENT defense team and less appeals later on.

  • #75
I think he wants off of this case enough that he's willing to risk contempt and even his career. I can't think of any other reason to continue to be so asinine in a case that a judge like HHJP is just lost on him. He has gone from wanting an insufficient counsel appeal to really being insufficient counsel. I think he has forgotten he was putting on act a long time ago...

Just wondering what others think about Huntington's part of JB's "filing". JB is saying that Huntington agrees with Haskill that Caylee decomposed at some place OTHER than the recovery site. Um, no way Jose. As far as I recall, Haskill only said that caylee STARTED decomposing somewhere other than the remains site. (her mother's trunk). Nice, try, though. Good grief.
EXACTLY!! That's what I WAS THINKING when I read that too! GOOD GRIEF!!!

I think you mean LDB not LKB (she was a defense atty who left).

Yep....IMO, he could have saved a bunch of trees by saying...."yeah...whatever the prosecution experts are gonna testify about.....the defense experts are gonna say the opposite."

:twocents:

This is the first time I have ever read a document like that, interesting. The one re: the cadaver dogs makes me think the alerts must have been a big deal. Although it is probably best for them to try and refute that evidence should it be brought in by the SA. (Is that how it would work?)

Are these just alerts for the Pontiac or for the back yard?

I had even copied this one about the dog to post here and should have read up one or two more posts because Mrs. G already had it posted(Thank you!). That is what happens in the life of a Websleuther, you think your fast...but your not...

I know the word "alert" is in " " so as to let us know they were not really alerts, they were false. That is what Cindy said to GVS when asked about the alerts in the back yard.

He does make it sound like Casey wants to face her accuser, the dog but adds in "via the handler." And what does he mean there was never a report made? Was there? TIA.

ETA: Reading these does give you an idea as to what the defense "is" it seems, but it makes my head spin...the "logic", it is twisted even in these documents. I know how twisted it will sound out loud to people on the jury and in the court room. Casey and the Anthony craziness does not hold up under the light. imo.
