He's cogent enough to realize he has to change his appearance, yet unorganized enough to do it in a public business, rather than staying at home and hiding out with clippers. Or even driving to another state, instead of doing it on his home turf.

IMO the sketch looks nothing like him…i get they aren’t usually exact matches, but the eyes are a different size shape and width, his distinct pig-like nostrils are missing, the jaw and general face shape is different.

I almost wonder if the witnesses were thinking of someone else, but I kind of doubt there was another lone creepy man with a “death stare” out there

Ugh. It occurs to me that he will have scoped out local good sites for predation of children on a dark web kind of site and others may have directed him to this area because there are a lot of children and it is rather spread out, with good cover in many areas.

As said above, his computer will be bursting with ugly secrets. I only hope the information they find will be able to lead LE to other sexual predators.

I have asked myself this question over and over. Why? I think that too many school officials "pass the trash" and are also eager to get rid of the bad eggs as quickly as possible without public scrutiny and the backlash that come with it. They just get rid of the problem and send them on to be someone else's problem. Hopefully this is coming to an end because there are at least two school administrators who are being prosecuted right now for this. Another is being sued in civil court. The curtain has been pulled back. Hopefully accountability will return.

I try to see things from various points of view.

If Le knew that he left the park, then telling everyone at the park might not be the right answer. They had plenty of LE in the park and telling people would surely get some to be hanging around trying to see or they would post about it and cause many more to come to this park to have a look too and so maybe LE was trying to process the scene as much as possible without broadcasting that they were doing so and hopefully preventing more people from coming to make a show of it. True crime things have really gotten wild in recent years since people and monotonize it, they seem to do wild/crazy things in order to get the views, likes, clicks, etc.

It can be quite a snowball effect if they releae something because anyone and everyone begins calling in about xyz and unless they have a solid lead that that IS what they are looking for, it really will tie up the phone lines and then the actual tips that might lead to this person could get lost in the shuffle. This time it seemed to work out, but what if that podcaster releasing the video with the car caused innocent people to be chased down by civilians trying to "help". I understand the person didn't get through to the tip line, but does that mean going to a podcaster is the way to do it? I don't think it is. Then the dispatcher was on a podcast as well talking.

I do think most just really do want to help, but there is a dark and gross side to true crime also and there are people who just want to make money and get clicks. It is a fine line between helping and hurting so I do understand the police calling out the podcasters because they should be held to some type of standard.

I think if it were me and I had a tip that I needed LE to know aobut, I'd all the tip line, then I'd try walking in to the local police department, if that didn't work, I'd call the next closest LE like the county LE, or the next city over, or try the state police. I think telling someone in LE and letting them relay the info is so much better/safer than talking to a podcaster who may or may not have the case's best interest in mind.

I think the answer to your question is in the first part of your question in the form of a statement.

As you stated, he was very likely running from creep vibes. But.... there is no mandatory reporting for creep vibes. And..... officials probably don't want creep vibes serving as the basis for voluntary reporting because creep vibes can be vague and / or subjective.

Rather, mandatory reporting is required in cases where there is evidence of physical or sexual abuse. But.... one can radiate creepiness, and not have any indications that they have committed sexual or physical abuse.

Actually mandatory reporting is NOT limited to instances where there is evidence.
Mandatory reporting is for ‘suspicion of abuse or neglect of a minor”. I’ve reported several times as I’m a former Texas public school teacher and have volunteered as a sports coach for YMCA off and on for many years.
Maybe that is the issue, the public doesn’t know these laws have changed in the last 20 years?
I wasn’t certain about Oklahoma and Arkansas, their wording is different but the spirit is the same.
You can call and report anonymously or give your name and contact info.

Just insane this alleged (LE have his DNA though) murderer was a "school teacher." Sources are reporting he previously worked as a school teacher at Donald Elementary (Lewisville, TX) school; and resigned after being accused of inappropriate behavior toward children.

-- Why are we not protecting our children yet, again?
-- Why are we passing these sick-O’s on to reoffend somewhere else?
-- Donald Elementary School (DES) needs to be looked at as to why they let this sick person resign only, did they not report him?
-- DES owes it to community, taxpayers and society to report inappropriate behavior toward children (dont ignore) and protect children.

In an email sent to parents in 2023 and shared with CBS News, a school administrator said McGann was placed on leave pending the results of an investigation into "complaints of poor classroom management and poor professional judgment."

This is the problem. They weren't able to prove SA actions so nothing stringent was done.

Where i live it (bad classroom management, not teaching well, not being a nice collague, not communicating well with parents) is a lot of work to get rid of a teacher after they have been with you a couple of years. You need evaluations, re-evaluations, reports, getting others on board for evaluations,… it takes a lot of time (in which they keep on working in your school) and paperwork. A lot of schools try to get them away by giving them jobs they don’t like, giving them the chance to leave themselves,… is it possible this is the case here? But then within the year in his case.

To be clear: this is NOT the case when they assume CSAM ofcourse, when police,… is involved they’re removed immediately!

Working with people (elderly, sick people, people in need, vulnerable people, kids,…) should be taken WAY more seriously worldwide IMO. Not suitable = find yourself a less caring job!

What's with the hair?

The two booking photos have pretty different hair appearance. The one that seems first-released, where he is tilting his head has straighish hair with a central part, and his unruly locks jutting out here, there, and everywhere. It truly has the madman look to it.

This second one shows his unruly curly hair has at least been combed and he looks like he might have had a shower.

Does LE have to give him some grooming to as to not be accused of posting prejudicial images?

I feel like if somebody were to try to ask a question like that on a dark web forum the responses would mostly be jokes or people telling you to kill yourself (also as a joke). There isn't really a culture of cooperation like that.
