Hugs to you and all of Colorado Springs. These extremist events are horrible no matter where they happen, but when things like this happen so close to home, it's an extra awful feeling like being kicked in the stomach. Prayers for all...the injured, uninjured, LE and community residents.

It has been a difficult time for Colorado Springs, with the Other killings of 3 innocent people as well recently near downtown Colorado Springs.

Motive, IMO was to kill anyone he could. He was shooting at passing cars. He planted explosives. Murder and terror was the motive. Again, JMO

Yes, LE was very slow and careful. Listening to the scanner thread, the care LE took to ensure the safety of those still hiding in the building was admirable. At one point, they were discussing how to reach people hiding in a room at the end of the hallway the shooter was in. There was talk of cutting through sheetrock. It was a very touchy situation that could have gone either way in a heartbeat. Their restraint was admirable and I'm so relieved more weren't injured or killed.

The use of the word "tanks" is bothersome . I mean lets be honest they are kinda bulky and heavy,, so if someone is planning on lighting one up I think it would be safe to assume that the person doing the lighting is also doing the "I am dead"--------- now.

So why would one have more in the car? I think it would be a kind one time event!
