Still active scene. Have been in contact with a suspect inside the scene. Have evacuated several people out if the PP building. Not a stabilized scene at this time. The suspect brought some 'items' with him to the building. Some victims made their way to the bank building.
One suspect. Police have NOT confirmed the name of the suspect. Have NOT been in voice contact with the suspect.
Until the Police have the individual, other people in other buildings will NOT be let out. (It is too dangerous.)
Situation is now contained within the PP building. Utmost concern that public (and police) are safe.
Propane tanks were some of the 'items' brought to the building.
I maybe thought at first this guy may have followed his wife or girlfriend to the center and planned to kill her and maybe the doctor and nurses if she had elected to get an abortion but it may wind up having nothing to do with that. So I am going to wait like everyone else until we know more.
This is a strange one. He definitely premeditated all of this and I think he put a lot of thought into it. I wonder how he was able to enter the building with propane tanks and other items. Did he disguise himself as a delivery man of sorts and may have had the tanks on a hand truck with them covered?
As if the propane tanks aren't scary enough the information that he brought other items seems to indicate they too are items which will do great harm to others.
Until we know exactly what has happened and who this guy is it is like Tricia said we cant prejudge a case like this. I have a feeling it may not wind up being who we expect it to be but maybe not.
But I wait with everyone else and I hope we know some clarifying details soon.
Did they say they plan on doing another PC today?
Praying for all of the wounded victims and those inside. Their families have to be sick with worry.
I don't think this guy has any intention of walking out alive. Imo, he is either going to shoot himself or blow himself up.
What a nightmare for all of the victims and their families who had just enjoyed Thanksgiving Day. I had just told my husband yesterday that I didn't think we would hear of anything bad happening on TG but we may soon after with the perp thinking the police would relax some once TG had passed. But I couldn't have ever imagined there would be a suspect with propane tanks/assault rifle---who has already shot three officers, and others, and now holding hostages.
Its like our country is in a crisis. We know after years of a steady decline in homicides this has not been a good year for our country and homicides are now on the rise again. Some cities have even broken all time records.
God help us all.
I just get tired of hearing this so often.
