Pueblo deputies arrest 2 after death of toddler in child abuse case - KRDO

36-year-old Ramondo Jones and 31-year-old Dacey Spinuzzi have been arrested and charged in the death of Aiden Seeley. Jones was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder of a child by one in a position of trust. He was already in custody at the Pueblo County Jail on an unrelated charge. Spinuzzi was arrested Wednesday morning and is accused of child abuse resulting in death. She was booked into the Pueblo County Jail.

Aiden had been placed in the care of Spinuzzi on July 23 as a foster child.

On Sept. 16, deputies were dispatched to a home in the 400 block of South Coral Drive in Pueblo West regarding an unresponsive child and was taken to a nearby hospital. He was later flown to a hospital in Colorado Springs where he died on Sept. 18.

The autopsy revealed that Aiden died from child abuse injuries.

Three other foster children were removed from the home and placed into protective custody. A biological child of the couple was placed with family.

The arrest affidavits for the two suspects have been sealed.

Do foster parents get a substantial amount of money from the government for children in their care? I can't fathom why these uncaring people take on a child unless they plan to make money from it They obviously have ulterior motives. .MOO

In Texas you get more money if the child has mental or physical disabilities. One of our neighbors had a nice little racket going on until too many children started showing up with injuries and/or bruises in their care.

I wonder why the arrest affidavits are sealed? I wonder what unrelated charge Ramondo Jones was already in custody for?

Aiden was a chubby wubby cutie pie.
