During a hearing on Friday, prosecutors said Craig was plotting to kill a detective, an officer and two other inmates. They presented letters he wrote from jail that allegedly showed his attempts to have evidence tampered with and fabricated.

I actually think his attorneys should get him medically checked out. An MRI and rule out a brain tumor or other issue, because this lack of impulse control... it's just too much. Maybe there is "just" a psychological reason, but he doesn't even have self-preservation nor an understanding of the liklihood of being caught, time and again. I know he's not the first person who is like this, but it's extreme. (ETA: Especially how he tried to involve other people, as if that might work.) IMO.
