Fruitless leads are motivating the Alamosa Police Department (APD) investigation team to call on outside resources to intensify the search for Angelica Sandoval.

Although he would not disclose the units recommendations, Jackson said the case remains open, it is the primary interest of the department and there are no substantial leads.
He added that Sandovals family has continued to be active in the search.
Angelica Sandoval is 23 years old today, but her family will not be able to wish her a happy birthday in person.

Angelicas mother, Michelle, said on Thursday there are still few leads on her daughters whereabouts, but whenever family and friends get a tip, they follow it. They recently searched for barrels in a canyon area, for example. Nothing has led to Angelica.

Michelle said Angelicas daughter misses her mom daily.
She still cries for her mom and asks for her daily, she said.
Saw this in the Denver Post online today, thought I'd bump Angelica's case to the top. Hopefully someone has seen her or has a lead on where she might be.
More than a couple possibilities for perps in this case.
Her personal FB page is now on Lock down. I can only see few pics with comments these days.
Her FB missing page linked earlier in the thread is no good either. I did find this new link for one though. It seems to be up to date with posts made as early as 3 days ago.
In 2011, just 28 miles from Conejos County, Angelica Sandoval carried her clean laundry and baby girl from her car to her family's bungalow. She ran back to the car to get her purse and vanished between the house and the car. She was to be the star witness against a man accused of a brutal home invasion.
This is one of the first cases I got involved with when I joined Websleuths. I've had communication with the family since and this is a case I wish was solved. Such a tragic way to disappear and I hope this reaches someone that has knowledge to what really happened..

<<Angelica was supposed to testify against a man named Jose "Demon" Meraz 10 days after her disappearance. Meraz was being charged with breaking into her home in November of 2010, putting a gun to her head, dragging her through her home by her hair, tying her up with duct tape, and demanding money. When the man showed intentions of sexually assaulting her, Angelica begged not to be raped in front of her daughter, at which point Meraz allegedly left the house and boasted about gang-ties. When interviewed by police, Angelica identified him by his tattoos and voice. Meraz has been questioned about Angelica's disappearance, but denies any involvement. Because Angelica was the only witness in the 2010 case against Meraz, the charges were dropped. Angelica left behind a 1-year-old daughter and remains missing.>>
