LOL. I figured I’d see the news posted here first but signed up to be notified via VINE just in case and to see if it really worked as first time I signed up to be notified.
It works (although I think a bit delayed). Just received the following notification:

MSG: BARRY MORPHEW was released from custody on 09/19/25. The release reason is: Bonded out.
For more info call 719-589-6608 or visit www.vinelink.com

His attorney, David Beller, said that supporters of Morphew pulled together the bond fee, about 10 percent of the $3 million bond set by the court. Beller declined to identify the supporters.

“They have asked to remain anonymous,” said Beller. “And that frankly is for their own safety, with all the vitriol that the case has brought and all the doxing.”

[...]
Once Morphew is released from jail, will begin paying for his own defense, said Beller. To this point, Morphew’s attorneys have been paid by the state, because a defendant is deemed indigent if they are in custody, Beller said.

“In Mr. Morphew’s case, between what little bit of assets he has as well as some supporters, he is going to be paying for his defense moving forward for as long as he and they are able to do so,” said Beller.

“As part of the stipulations of a pre-trial release, Hopkins told Morphew that he is to be monitored at all times with an ankle monitor and isn’t allowed to leave Colorado.”

^So, that’s it? He can roam freely around Colorado, stay wherever he wants, as long as GPS is on?

I thought one of his bond conditions was that he wasn't allowed to leave home unless for medical or court related reasons.

Iiuc, he's free to stay anywhere in the state, but he must remain in that one location, barring emergency or unless for medical appointments, meetings with his attorneys, or making court appearances.

He'll prolly be "meeting with his attorneys" a lot.

That could get costly!

Paying for his defense himself? Oooo, the crack of that billfold must smack him hard.

How many minutes until he's unable to afford his counsel, and like magic, he gets his own attorneys back, free of charge, on the people's dime?

Suzanne's voice seems lost again, amid this noise.

I know Megnut, and it will take time, as defense now has no reason to move for a speedy trial. Expecting delay after delay.

Keeping the faith.
Suzanne’s voice WILL be heard again.

So if he chooses to live in a van, is that his home / location?

“once he is fitted with a GPS monitor and finds a place in Colorado to live. He’ll be confined to his home, but can attend legal and medical appointments. And, if he can find employment, Morphew would be allowed to leave the home for work, after getting permission from the court.”

So yes confined to his home except med and legal but if he gets permission from court can leave for work.

As far as whose money paid the bail I have my thoughts. As far as threats … I don’t really believe that is happening on a grand scale. I think it’s lawyer hype for sympathy. JMO.

It'll be speedy if he meets with his attorneys. I'm thinking more of, him "meeting with his attorneys". That what he'll say, if anybody asking.

Forgot about that provision -- for work.

Ugh. If he's still got a friend, I eject help hire Barry for really slow work. Rolling a rock up hill and then back down, all day every day. Busy work to keep busy been busy. Busy staying outside of house arrest.

IMO he'll find a way to not be inside.

He’s also forbidden alcohol and guns iirc from court. Honestly even if they find him sitting in a bar drinking shots of tekill-ya with a loaded rifle leaned up against the stool - the court would prob just say please don’t do that again.

So question re bail - nobody had to pledge stuff worth 3 mill ? The ten percent was it non refundable? Thanks

Iiuc $300K unrefundable, then 2.7M up in collateral, if the bondsman requires it.

There is one way to earn money faster than the guy never to you. Get paid on cash, under the table. Never report it, no taxes.

If Barry barried a lot of untaxed dollars in a couple of cute piggy banks, how cutesy cute if he's laundering his own dirty money in house.

Ever notice how some people always seem to be gaming the system?

I just hope somebody is following the money.
