Jury question: how far apart by road from first remains and skull?
Witness: 5 miles

Not guilty, due to absence of proof of purchase of bananas...(banana sticker on found remains/clothing)? Preposterous defense!!
"My client doesn't even LIKE bananas!"

Good question from the jury. 5 miles by road from the original remains site to skull site. Seems like a very long distance for an animal to move the skull IMO.

I think attorneys like to hear themselves talk. Four hours and what do we have?

Not caught up on the videos, but caught up reading here…

So many painful moments-Elaine, Cory and the lady lawyer(her name escapes me-sorry). When she was asked about what she had advised Elaine about whether or not she had to put her on the plane, it broke my heart…some lawyers are real good people too, like our very own @gitana1 ❤️and she obviously has immense guilt over her decision.

The defence have not convinced me that Mark is not guilty…and I don’t think they ever will. Sadly the pain keeps coming…

The prosecution scored points this morning with Dylan's photos being thrown in a dumpster and the long distance between the skull and other remains.

The defense scored with the air testing of MR's truck for human decomp that came back negative. JMO

Did they include the bed of the truck? At first I assumed the cab of the truck and I thought to myself well he could have been in the bed instead- but maybe they covered that? I’m unable to watch the live feed currently

They didn't go into details of the testing.

But why would human decomposition be inside of his truck.? He put him in the back of the truck where the decomp was found. It doesn't take a genius to see that he probably went went inside changed his clothes, then went out and got in the truck. MOO It's not rocket science that the decomp was not found in the truck.

I would think that the open bed of a truck that is exposed to the air would dissolve anything.

Just saw Warwick answered this…

I didn't say that the scent of human decomposition was inside the truck.

The State did this test, whether it was inside or outside or both, hoping to get a positive result that they could use in this trial. They didn't get the results they were hoping for so that allowed the defense to use it to their advantage.

My opinion stands.

After an extended period of time and a probable cleanup I'm not surprised that nothing was found. JMO

Next witness Leigha Foster. She is wearing a mask and the judge is asking if she will wear a clear mask. She does not want to. Side bar.

  • #417
Leigha Foster is up now. She isn't on the prosecution witness list. She is on the defense list.

She wants to wear her own mask and that's causing a problem.

We get to see the judge up close now. Witness then took off her mask.

  • #419
So they moved the camera so it points to the judge rather than on the witness, Ms. Foster.

Leigha Foster on the stand. Hiker who found skull with her husband.
Wearing a paper surgical type face mask. Judge asks her what’s going on,that they have clear masks. She says she’s more comfortable with hers. Judge calls sidebar with both sides. They stepped out in hall. Back in they have clerk turn camera away from witness stand and tells her she can take her mask off and she did.
