@RANCH - sorry but both those articles you posted are old. The first one is from Nov. 13 & the 2nd one Jan. of 2020....

Trial has been cancelled (was to start 1/25/21) - per LaPlata County.... but no change in the court site as of today.
The trial dates were not my point.

Loveland heart calls for ‘Justice for Dylan Redwine’ – Loveland Reporter-Herald

RHC-L-DylanHeart-js4.jpg

Feb. 8, 2021

Elaine Hall spent what would have been the 22nd birthday of her son, Dylan Redwine, in Loveland, finding comfort in her family and in a red wooden heart displayed in honor of her beloved boy.

Nicole Yost — Elaine’s niece and Dylan’s cousin — led her aunt along the sidewalk as traffic buzzed past on West Eisenhower Boulevard on Saturday. With Nicole’s mom — Elaine’s sister — on FaceTime, she pointed out the red heart on a light pole in the median: “Justice for Dylan Redwine.”

Will it reach ten years since Dylan's murder before the trial commencing? Considering the trend, I would not be surprised. Also, we had the advantage of listening in on the live audio feed or stream when COVID was in full blast. Hopefully they'll still allow that.

The judge in the murder trail against Mark Redwine reportedly declared another mistrial on Friday. Our sister station at CBS Denver says in Friday’s pre-trial conference, Judge Jeffery Wilson said COVID-19 metrics in La Plata County have not changed enough to ensure a fair trial.

CBS Denver says Judge Wilson hopes to resume jury trials at the end of April. The new trial date is set for June 16th and a pre-trial conference set for May 14th.

Mark Redwine: ‘My day in court is a long, long, long time overdue’
On Friday, Wilson said the COVID-19 incidence rate is actually higher than it was in mid-November when the mistrial was declared. As a result, he again declared a mistrial for a trial that was supposed to start in April.

“I empathize with the position you’re in, this is a difficult decision you have to make,” Redwine said to Wilson. “But this does need to happen and should be a priority in this county to have my trial held.”

Been a while since I visited.
Uh, the wheels of justice are turning ever so slowly.
It makes me sick to my stomach.

Still always thinking of Dylan.

@Niner Thanks for hanging in there ! May there soon be justice for Dylan

I think of Dylan and his beloved mother and brother. Justice for Dylan!

I think of Dylan a lot and that he was ordered to visit this monster. I remember Dylan went back to the judges offices and had a talk with the judge. He had to tell him how much he didn't want to go. The judge had to look at Mark's harrassment of Dylan and his mother but he was still made to go.
I don't care how long it takes to get Redwine to trial. At least he's locked up and no freedom for him. Let him hoot and hollar from the county jail...forever. Lying SOB!

This interview is exceptionally chilling nowadays having read the complaint—we know Dylan's blood was found in the living room and under a couch IIRC (correct me if I'm wrong)—so the background is likely where he bludgeoned Dylan as sad as it is.

Who thinks some of the Doctor Phil interview will be used in this trial?

Still never found the whole video. Interesting how many other videos can be found from Doctor Phil show. Elaine also can't find it.

What was the date of the show airing? I may be able to find it by date on a private tracker.

Could it be that it's been removed by either the defense or prosecutor to be used as evidence? Just a thought.

Totally stoned in this interview.

For the foregoing reasons, and the reasons stated at the pretrial conference, the Court finds that a public health emergency exists that prevents a fair jury from being safely assembled. Pursuant to C. R. Crim. P. 24 (c)(4), the Court declares a mistrial. With the rapid increase in the rate of COVID-19 vaccinations that is currently being experienced in Colorado and the advent of warmer weather, the Court believes that it will be safe to reset the trial for June 14, 2021, starting at 8:00 AM. The Court also sets a new pretrial conference for May 14, 2021, at 10:00 AM.

The Court finds that the mistrial in this case will cause a 57-day delay in the start of the trial. Pursuant to CRS 18-1-405 (6)(e), the Court finds that the speedy trial period is therefore extended from June 27, 2021, to August 22, 2021. If either party believes that this speedy trial calculation is incorrect, they shall file an objection to this calculation within 21 days.

I don't know. I know it's a long time to wait but in the meantime Mark has no freedom. He has to pay his attorney every month and hopefully he is unable to harass Elaine during his jail time.
We could consider him in the slammer a bit of justice.

Respectfully, as of at least Nov 2020, evidence suggests that the accused is still represented by two state public defenders - courtesy of Colorado taxpayers.

Justin Bogan, No. 33827
Deputy State Public Defender

John Moran, No. 36019
Deputy State Public Defender
