Maybe Dylan did meet up with his friends - ???

last time Dylan used his phone was to text his mom?? how would Dylans friends know he wasn't going to show up to meet them until 6:30AM?

He had texted his Mom earlier regarding his arrival. Friends were contacted by Dylan that there were no plans for Sunday night now and changed to Monday a.m.

Also one of the things I didn't say about these natural gas sites is that many are in the Bayfield area

Another puzzling issue is the fact Mom had to bring clothes for the scent dogs. Even if DR's stuff was missing, if he slept in the bed or even on a couch w/ a blanket, his scent would have been on something in the house.

Thanks for the welcome and will try to write more--just often wonder what pressure poor DR was under--lots to take on at 13--and not getting on anyone but telling a 13 year old that he is the "glue" that holds all together, that deep song that DR liked(which i wonder if their is some hidden meaning in there somewhere-i know sounds dumb but it is posted quite a bit) and how admired he was--sometimes it just seems like he was under alot of pressure to hold everyone together and is a lot for a 13 year old let alone an adult.

guess i still have a hard time thinking someone took his life, accidentally, or not mainly because i am with what someone else posted it is a little quick to do something right after he arrived---but also what is the point of taking all his stuff (meaning backpack, and charger, and clothes) that just sounds dumb and stupid unless DR, or someone was going or taking him somewhere--

all just my opinion

oh and Pensfan----I, too am a huge PENS fan--missing NHL so much

I have to find the link for you, but I believe msm article said he was there on labor day???

But there were no scent items. I would think if he had items there already they would have had something to go with, at the very least another baseball cap or something? IDK...

Yep, that is what was reported. Mom said something about him rarely exercising his visitation rights and that doesn't make a lot of sense if the Labor Day visit is accurate. School has been in session since that last visit so it doesn't seem unusual to me that Thanksgiving would be the next planned visit. When visits require a plane ticket I wouldn't expect every other weekend or anything like that.

I want to address the clothes, dad probably has clothes at his house for Dylan. It was only 2 months ago the custody changed. I expect my ex to have clothes for our kid.

Can LE confirm that it was DR that texted? Not pointing fingers, but a text could have been from anyone. No one has said indicated that they spoke to him (minus Dad).

LE hasn't confirmed if it was a text, call, Internet activity or what.

Do we know for sure that Dad actually saw him at 730am? Or just that D didn't wake up. Maybe Dad just knocked on the door, called out, that kind of thing.
If that's true, then it's possible Dylan left the house on his own through the night.

Well a lot of people are suggesting that Dylan walked away from his dads cause he might not have cell coverage, but when his mom and older brother arrived they tryed to text dad several times. Brother , mother and Dylan prob had same cell plan I'm guessing, so if there phone worked then more than likely Dylan's would too imo

home being searched-Dad not a suspect

Authorities are searching the home of Mark Redwine Thursday because it was the last place his missing 13-year-old son was seen.

Redwine reported his son, Dylan, missing after he left the boy at home Nov. 19 to run errands.

At this time, the La Plata County Sheriff’s Department said Mark Redwine is not a suspect in his son’s disappearance. They are conducting a through search of the home to because it was the last place his son was seen.

I'm not normally one to offer speculation or say what I think might have happened in a case...I try to stick to straight facts & information when I post.

I have this scenario running through my head that I can't get out though, and feel compelled to share it. I know it's been mentioned as a possibility before, but it kind of all came together in my head earlier today.

MR picks up Dylan from the airport, they go grocery shopping, and head home. Enroute, Dylan's cell phone is in and out of service, causing the battery to drain quickly. He manages to text his friends off and on, making the early morning plan. He gets to his Dad's house, no cell service, bummer. He plugs the phone in to charge, and goes to bed early, tired from the night before and wanting to get up early to go see his buds.

In the morning, MR tries to get Dylan up but he's still tired so he stays asleep. MR leaves to go run errands. Dylan's asleep and he hears a knock at the door. He goes to answer it, sleepily, and someone is at the door. I don't know who. This person says something like - your mom/dad/brother has been in an accident and they're in the hospital, you need to come with me right away. Dylan, panicked, sleepy, goes to get his shoes, hat, whatever. He asks if he should bring his stuff. The person says yes. Dylan takes the few items he'd taken out of his bag - cell phone, charger, clothes he was wearing the day before - and shoves them in his backpack. They leave.

I hate thinking about this but I feel a little bit better with it written down. :frown:

Okay, so way too far to plan to walk.

Yes, that's surely why hitchhiking was postulated by the friend. And we've had locals post that it goes on and is something they did when they were young. It's very much a small town/mountain thing. There's a high level of trust, to a great extent because almost everybody knows each other.

Nope, I swear we don't really know much of anything. Dad said he tried to wake him but he was "out like a light". We don't know what he means by tried though. Did he call to him from the doorway? Try to shake or nudge him? Throw cold water on him?

We need to put together a list of questions and send them to Kevin Torres (sigh, if I wasn't married I would offer to deliver them personally) and see if he can get us some answers.

The issue facing investigators is a lack of evidence. No clues were left behind that would point them in the direction of Dylan's whereabouts.

What the heck happened after Dylan got off that plane???:furious::furious:

He disappeared into thin air:rocker:
