I have a question. Are we sure which McDonalds they ate at? I know the Walmarts by us have McDonalds in them!

Makes sense they would shop and eat in the same store.

Speaking of stores. What kind of store is it down the road from MR's house?

Anybody happen to know? TIA

Yep, we confirmed this Walmart doesn't have a McDs. The McD's address in Durango is Here. :)

The question that runs through my mind about dad saying he ran some errands is just that, If your child were missing you would be specific "I went to the hardware store, then got some groceries, paid some bills and cashed a check. You would say that right away! You would not just say I ran some errands. You would give details. Read Peter Hyatt's blog about statement analysis.

I would love to read it. I can't find it???

the phone stopped at 8pm.. then nothing again. It doesnt matter if they went for a steak dinner or a drive thru Sonic. Its after 8 when something happened. The next day dad can have as many alibis as he wants, what happened after 8pm and before dads first confirmed alibi?? :banghead:
Thats the time frame I am curious about.

He talked to the authorities, and he gave some interviews. Right out the gate his ex accused him of doing something to the kid. Right out the gate. He was under scrutiny from the very beginning. Once he spoke, internet activity was having a field day. Took every word uttered of his mouth and anaylzed it ad naseum. And not really giving him the benefit of the doubt it was all about more suspicion.

No matter what he said, it was going to be wrong. Even if all he said was "I want Dylan found." People would be analyzing why he phrased it that way, why didn't he say, "I love my son and I miss him so much and I want him found." It could go on and on.

So IMO the best thing he could do is not say much at all and just look for his son, help LE to find his son and let everyone else to think what they want.

Please understand my point, which is that no parent thinks before reacting to their missing child. Later if he felt accused or under suspicion maybe. If you know of cases where an innocent parent stayed out of the media spotlight while trying to find their missing child, please name them. They are always very desparate. His ex said nothing about him for a week. Again, not saying he's guilty, just find his behavior odd. Hope Dylan is found Safe.

All the articles say they believe Dylan was wearing the same clothes when he went missing as in the airport.

But his missing poster says he was wearing the Nike shirt. So.... where does that leave us? The Nike shirt is pretty distinctive. Would be good to know if he changed shirts that morning.

If your link comes up with asteriks (****) in it, that means the link is not allowed here. Please do not try to fix it so that is will show up. It also means, if you can't link it, you can't discuss it.

Thanks and pm any mod if you have questions.

I think I am going to go with what detectives say.

"Detectives say Redwine is wearing the same clothes the day he went missing as he is in the two photos."

Bumping. This may help, Salem.

Authorities also released an updated description of the clothing Dylan may have been wearing Nov. 19 when he was reported missing.

The clothing description included:

A black short-sleeved T-shirt with large gray letters that read “DC.”

Black basketball shorts with a light-colored stripes on the sides.

Black Jordan shoes with a white tongue and possibly white laces.

A blue baseball cap with a blue bill, white front panel and blue letters that read “Duke Blue Devils.”

They are the same clothes Dylan was wearing Nov. 18 when he landed at the Durango-La Plata County Airport, Bender said. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the airport and the Durango Walmart to piece together the new clothing description, he said.

You know that's another thing. Anytime any of us travel by airplane we take a shower and change our clothes right away.

Planes are dirty and old and crowded. UGGG.

As many have stated, kids seem to fall in love with certain clothes and will wear them daily, especially boys, I gather. And it was a very short flight.

If LE doesn't feel the need to warn the community, does that perhaps mean they have a specific person in mind involved in the disappearance of Dylan?

It wasn't right out the gate, IMO. My understanding is the first time she said he could've been involved was the ABC interview published 11/26, 1 week after Dylan went missing.

Dylan was picked up Sunday by his father at Durango-La Plata County Airport, his mother said Friday. Dylan announced his arrival in a text message and ended it with the emoticon that is interpreted as a scowl, she said.

She declined to talk about her former spouse except to say he rarely exercised his visitation rights.

The last time Dylan visited Vallecito from Colorado Springs, where she moved this summer, was on Labor Day weekend, Redwine said.

Dylan was happy in Colorado Springs, where he began eighth grade in August, she said. He had many friends and hung out at Skate City, a roller skating rink.

ETA: She said plenty here even though "she declined to talk about her former spouse"
RE: UBM: She much later said he worked out of town and explained that, but here ... she said what she said.
BBM:
The past tense is pointed out as we did/do with the dad's remarks.

No way to judge, based on LE's actions or non-actions. It seems to vary in every case.

Dylan, it seems, was supposed to arrive at dads on Sat. All plans changed when he didn't arrive until Sun. evening.

I checked NG's transcripts and Denise Hess and Elaine Redwine didn't say anything to NG about Dylan’s flight being delayed.

This information came from Mark Redwine didn't it?

Salem

It would be wonderful if we knew if he changed shirts that morning, because that would mean we have a sighting!!!!
Sadly, unless LE is holding something back, Dad said Dylan was still asleep when he left that morning, so I don't see how anyone can know for sure what he was wearing.

Every day that goes by, I simply can't believe Dylan is still out there...and we know so little.
