Unfortunately, even people with much worse history than MR often get visitation.

yes they certainly do, there is far more consideration for the parents rights than there is for what should be paramount which is the safety of the chil.

Okay everybody - after much consideration and discussion we are opening up the sleuthing on Dad.

Please remember that accusations are not allowed, but opinions may be posted. If you have questions, contact a mod and they will give you a hand.

Thanks!

Salem

Can you explain the difference between an opinion that person X did it, and an accusation that he did it?

I ask bc I see this terminology a lot and I just don't understand the difference or where it crosses the line :)
Thx!!

Well I guess that makes it crystal clear what happened here. Poor, poor Dylan. He never had a chance from any direction. It just makes me cry. Such a beautiful boy.

Mark has a very serious problem with anger, control, and manipulation. I am very concerned that his temper went way too far MOO!

Between Durango and Vallecito Lake.

It may (or may not) mean something that they are searching this direction before searching the route to Bayfield.

Aiyee yie yie.

The first report shown looks like Mark's request for a protective order in response to Elaine's request for a protective order. I say that because it says she "was bad about drinking and driving with kids" - two years ago. If you read the question he wrote that info under, the information doesn't really seem to apply to the question (how is that violence or threats? It's not even a specific instance?)

Oh my I just saw that video. What a nightmare for anyone to live through.
I think it's possible, just slightly MORE possible after seeing this that Dylan
did try to run away ....... maybe he got away , maybe he got lost or hurt
in the woods. But that does not look a home , on EITHER side, that I'd
want to live in.
Thoughts?
Bless your heart Dylan.

This just sits to close to home for me to even be able to be unbias in my response.....

WHAT the heck happened to Dylan - all I am seeing are RED and anger and VIOLENCE -

I want to see video from Walmart of the person responsible for Dylan!!! What was his physical condition???

like you I too see RED, anger and violence, sickening violence.

I feel quite physically sick and very teary for Dylan, way beyond the worried sick feeling we've all had since he was reported missing.

The way I see it, we were not permitted to indicate that we suspected the father of anything at all, before. Now, I guess, we can say where our personal feelings lead us at this time?

I don't think there are any Father of the Year Awards laying around dads house

Hi Abby, I' m not a mod but I might know the answer.
We cannot outright accuse MR. But we can sleuth
By sleuthing we can l ook at his criminal records, job records,
marriage records, etc. See? We can find out all the dirty little
details about him. That's a far cry from calling him a ********.
I think this is right. I'm sure someone will correct me real
soon if I'm wrong.

I saw this discussed upthread so I'm bringing forward my own post w/the screengrabs of MR's charges from NG on the 12/3 show - for easy reference

They're calling for 200 volunteers to search between Durango & Vallecito Lake.

I want to hug Elaine & Cory right now & punch the judge that mandated the visit.

I more than want to punch the judge, I want judges to take responsibility for the decisions they make that place children into further risk of danger.

Our top priority has to be the safety of the children, not the parents rights to a relationship with that child.

Did you watch that video?
Cory has had trouble with the law for drugs and alcohol
and allegedly threw someone down the stairs . Mom says
she cannot control him .
Mom was accused of drinking and driving with the kids in the
car and apparently a judge believed it to be true because
he ordered her to not drink when the kids were in her custody.
The whole family seems a mess and no place for a kid to be
happy :(

My thoughts? Both parents have issues. Anger, alcohol, who knows what else.
I'm sad that children have to grow up in these surroundings, yet I see it every day where I work. I'm getting burnt out though, not sure how much longer I can watch it.

Yep, and from McDonald's.

I'd want to run away from the whole bunch of them! That would explain why he might leave while his dad was gone, and took a ride with the wrong person. But, it's looking more and more like he didn't even get a chance to try and run away.
Poor, poor Dylan.

"Dylan arrived Nov. 18 in Durango. He and his father went to the Walmart in town before driving to Bayfield -- 45 minutes away."

Read more: http://www.koat.com/news/new-mexico...17686454/-/15qwdeq/-/index.html#ixzz2EKDmyI9o

So they want from Durango, to Bayfield, to home? Is that a faster route than the backroads? Before I could see Dylan possibly not getting upset at waiting until tomorrow to see his friends. But if they were driving right through the friend's area, then I think he's more likely to have had a teenage meltdown.
