the report said - written by Mark - 7/4/08

While at his ______ house I was attacked and beaten then left for hours until I woke up and Corey admitted he was the one who beat me. A woman in the house several months ago Corey became violent with his ____ and tried to throw down a flight of stairs. ___ had numerous bruises and has admitted to me she can't control him and is afraid of him.

**I do not know what women/girl they are talking about - Mark did NOT say it was Elaine

I can't understand who would be trying to control him if not a parent.:waitasec:

I would imagine Cory's problems were a direct result of living in a home where dad thinks its ok to bang the neighbor on the lawn, rough up his mom and take a drunken swing at his child.

Cory appears to be a decent young man now despite the difficulties experienced years ago. And Cory seems to have huge concern for Dylan

The reporter on the video mentioned it, so its' relevant
in some way to someone for news to report it.
I mentioned it because it seems that Dylan's 3 closest
people, the ones he relies on for virtually everything in
his life all have histories ( alleged) of drinking, and/ or
drugs and violence. It's a sad existence. If he views
his brother now like his parents , he might not feel
like he's got an ally.
I absolutely dont' think CR has anything to do with
Dylan's disappearance but I do think CR's history
furthers the notion that Dylan might have wanted
to run away from the whole family, both households.
Here's the thing. Mom, Cory, Dylan ...all fighting dad.

About the lawyer appointment. He couldn't have made that appointment on the spur of the moment. Any time anyone I knew needed to make an appointment, it was a month out before they got one. It's not something you can make on a Friday afternoon, or a Saturday or a Sunday and have on Monday morning bright and early. No way.

So that appointment had to have been made well in advance to this visit. JMO

As far as the other stuff goes, they both look like parental prizes to me. I'd pack everything I owned and would hit the road. MOO

I respectfully disagree. What are lawyers for except to take care of legal matters. I am sure there are a lot of people who can call their attorney in times of need and get an appointment immediately. Especially as small as this area is and all the legal proceedings the Redwines had been through. I think MR could have even called his attorney at any hour of the day or night and been given an appointment immediately.

Many attorneys are available for their clients at a moments notice if they are in need of help. MOO

Jmo, but I now feel like maybe the "scowlie face" sweet Dylan sent in his last text msg to mom letting her know that yes, dad had in fact picked him up from the airport was his sad and/or angry at possibly seeing dad had been drinking..not accusing just really thinking on this sweet boys last words/texts..jmo.

Maybe Mark did take the phone and cut it off or even smash it in seeing that Dylan was trying to send a text to mom saying hey, dads been drinking??..idk..jmo.

Was thinking the same thing here; maybe he smelled alcohol on Mark's breath. :(
Could also be a combo scowl - ex: sucks that I have to be here and miss Thanksgiving with other side of the family and see grandma. To make matters worse, after being made to come here, dad reeks of booze. :furious:

It depends. Say the road is spotty and only every mile or so are you going to get lucky and hit a cell tower.

If the phone pings every few minutes, and it happens to try to ping when you aren't in one of those areas, then no ping would be recorded.

So it's conceivable that you could drive for quite a while on a road with spotty coverage and your phone would never get off a proper ping.

I can imagine how spotty things would be there in the boonies with cell and text service. I live in a big metropolis and at different places around Orange County, CA, I have not had service. On one of the main roads in the middle of town in an Orange County area, I couldn't get cell, text, internet, nothing. Broad daylight in the middle of the week.

Up at my parents in the mountains we always joke about it being "Hooterville" from the old show where they had to climb up the telephone pole to get their telephone to work. That's the way it is with cell, text and satellite service up there.

I don't think this is true. I've never heard of lawyers doing this kind of service unless the caller is loaded with cash and it's urgent.

IMO, it shows a lot about his character and who he is as a person, that he went and hugged Mark that night at the vigil. Doubt I would have been able to do that, considering their history. That was BIG of Corey to do that.

Yeah and the timing - first visit right after a major custody loss and a fight to just get a holiday visit? Uncanny if it's a coincidence.

I would think that it would be the WORST time for him to do something and not take himself out as well.

Unless this was premeditated, and I don't think even most of the accusers think it was from my reading the thread, he didn't have that much time to plan. It would have been spur-of-the-moment.

The leading theory does seem to be that MR lost his cool, and not that he vindictively premeditated hurting his son. If we are to believe that he lost his cool and did something, then we can expect forensics from his house or car to show something. Violent outbursts leave a story behind. To me, this is comforting in the sense that LE probably already "knows" if this is the case, and we will understand soon enough.

OTOH, if his forensics came up with nothing than we would need to call it premeditated or change theories- because it would have to have happened away from the car or house which is starting to stretch the whole spontaneous thing just a bit.

Then I need to move.

Mark didn't rush in to his lawyer. He was simply keeping an appointment as part of an alibi IMO

Dyaln does look happy. And his brother has a healing black eye.

Not sure if that's a healing black eye or not. Could just be the lighting or his eyes are deep set.

Yep.

And the blank field is not exactly big enough to put something "grandmother".

If there was another person, that person would probably file their own domestic dispute against Cory - not pigtail to Dad's in the form of "she can't control him" with no police report numbers or anything. I think it's possible Dad just listed "Mom" there to badmouth them both, and because he knew he wouldn't need anyone to testify to backup that story.

My experience with attorneys has been nothing but positive. I've never had difficulty reaching any of mine and I have dropped in and was able to meet with several.

I agree with that 100000 % .
CR's situation shows how damaging his upbringing has been
and one could assume Dylan 's life was equally afflicted.
