MR texted ER, not called.
ER has said that texts worked there, but calls didn't always.

Above BBM.. This is not true that no one wants to talk about Dylan.. Dylan Redwine is exactly why and what we are here for.. It is Dylan Redwine who my heart hurts for, and that I continue to pray to God to help lead these LE to find him!..and while some may believe that prayer does no good IMO it's the only thing I can do from here where I am at clear across the country..His last visit was Labor Day weekend, that's September. This was his first visit since the custody change on Sept. 21. Not that it really makes any difference. I'm just a stickler for details.
There could be a lot of things that could account for that (which I included in my outline in the last thread). I'd really like to know what may have happened TO DYLAN between 7:30 and 11:30 am, but it's hard to discuss that because nobody wants to talk about him - MR is more important. MOO
In all honesty WRT to ER telling the truth(above BBM).. Elaine made it very clear that she in all honesty was not at all sure what job Mark held in recent years..Not an expert, so backing up
Federal regulations: http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/registration-licensing/cdl/cdl.htm
Colorado page on the subject: http://www.dmv.org/co-colorado/apply-cdl.php#Federal-Guidelines
If ER was telling the truth, and why wouldn't she, then we can safely assume MR has a clean driving record and stays sober when he is on the road.
Previous post I'm expanding on:
But the point of "HOW" the cell phone was last powered off(ie.manually turned off, battery actually removed, submerged in water, etc ) is not relevant to the simple fact of importance that THE PHONE WAS NEVER EVER POWERED ON after its powering off on SUNDAY EVENING ..I understand it's being reported but I don't think the cell company has the ability to tell whether - especially on a cheap flip phone - whether a phone was manually turned off or whether it isn't sending pings for some other reason. The only way that could happen is if the cell phone sent an explicit signal to a cell tower saying (in effect) "I'm turning off now" and he was within range of a tower that could receive that signal. While maybe a smartphone does that, I'm not sure a dumbphone would.
WRT to AlexisFresca's statement that she understands why Elaine is not pleading for her Childs release from a possible abductor..but NOT understanding why Mark would not be pleading for such..Why not? :waitasec:
You know, I haven't seen one bit of evidence pointing to the possibility that Mark Redwine harmed Dylan.
ER has said that texts worked there, but calls didn't always.
I don't see anything irregular about his question. He checked with friends in the area first, and when they hadn't heard from Dylan, he called Dylan's mom. Seems perfectly normal when a person is missing to contact the people in his circle, no matter how far away. She has said Dylan checked in with her pretty regularly. So naturally MR would consider she might have heard from him.
The friends mentioned hitchhiking in the first few days.

Dylan's friends in Bayfield told The Durango Herald that Dylan was supposed to meet them Sunday night, but he changed that to Monday morning. They told the newspaper they think Dylan hitchhiked to meet them and then was abducted.

And apparently mom was concerned he might hitchhike because she cautioned him against it. She also said it would be "uncharacteristic" of Dylan to hitchhike. If she's so sure, then why did she warn him no to do it? At some point the notion must have entered her mind. I wonder why. Did she know of an instance when he did?
Similarly, while some of Dylan's Bayfield friends suggested he might hitchhike down from Vallecito to Bayfield for a scheduled visit with them, Elaine Redwine said she and Dylan had talked about being safe, including not hitchhiking.
It would be uncharacteristic of Dylan to do that, she said.

Redwine says he believes Dylan may have disappeared while hitchhiking in the rural area where the crime rate is generally low.

My opinion is NOT that I don't believe that Dylan would have hitched a ride..because I have given weight to the statement made by his friends that Dylan was not shy and in their opinion would have been likely to hitch a ride, if not had at some point in time earlier possibly may have even actually hitched a ride from a neighbor, family friends, acquaintance, or even stranger for all we know..
I have given this weight and IMO find it even believable that Dylan would have attempted to hitch a ride IF NEED BE..
IF NEED BE IMO IS KEY ... Again not to sound like a broken record(but really I am) I will again go back to the words of those who know Dylan best.. That if Dylan had overslept, refused to get up early when dad attempted to wake him..if he'd instead woke up after his dad had already left THAT DYLAN WOULD HAVE CONTACTED FRIENDS TO NOT ONLY ASK IF THEIR PARENTS COULD GIVE HIM A RIDE, BUT THAT HE WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM TO LET THEM KNOW WHY HE'D NOT SHOWN UP AT 630AM AS THEY HAD EXPECTED HIM TO.. and his not doing this IMO indicates to me that there was no setting out on foot to get a cell signal..or to hitch a ride...
Now if Dylan had called the friends and learned that nope, none of their parents were avaiable to come pick up Dylan..yes, I absolutely believe that given his friends opinion that AT THAT POINT that Dylan quite likely would have attempted to hitch a ride to get to his friends..jmo..
So, for me its not at all that I believe this young man was somehow above hitching a ride, too shy or somehow otherwise incapable of hitching a ride..that is not my belief.. I just believe that NO MATTER WHAT the situation was that one of the very first things that Dylan would have done upon awaking to an empty house, with dad already long gone, therefor ha img missed his ride to his friends..the very first thing he would have done is contact his friends via text, cell call, or landline call and first let them know he'd missed his ride and that's why he was not yet there..and second to see if any of their family/friends could come pick him up..
IMO that would have happened..and IMO it certainly would have happened before this 13yo naive young boy set out intent on hitching a ride..
All jmo,tho.
ER has said that texts worked there, but calls didn't always.
They were divorced in 2007. The alleged incident occurred in 2008. Still, not cool if it really happened, but ER wasn't his wife at the time.

You havent seen one bit of evidence pointing to the ' POSSIBILITY' that dad harmed Dylan? Really? There is nothing that says it is even possible?
I haven't seen any evidence that says it is proven with certainty. But I have seen plenty of evidence that says it is possible.
For example, he was the last known person to see him, and the only adult in charge of a minor. There were no other adults present and no apparent witnesses to Dylan being safe and sound after 8 pm on Sunday night.
And on Monday, Dylan did not act in his characteristic way, nor follow routine practices, and communicate with others as was his regular pattern.
I've been following, but haven't posted much. Not only do I think there is a "POSSIBILITY" dad harmed Dylan, I think its probable. Where are you beautiful boy?

I am really shocked at all the unfounded accusations on this thread.
