Is there a map highlighting the search area?

Not just the route along the road but the terrain.

TIA.

That was a multiple choice question. They asked whether it was one persons opinion? OR if it were a lot of different opinions thrown together to make those who suspect MR look irrational.

I'm really not as stupid as people think. I'm quite aware of what the question was, and I stand by my answer. This is the last time I'll waste on the subject.

But what can they do ?

It seems that he has disappeared off the face of the planet and there is not any evidence of what has happened.

What good would a press conference do if they don't have any clues or leads ?

I think they thought that from the very beginning.
I think one by one things are being ruled out.
I believe they know exactly who they are looking at.
They just cant say so yet! But they will!

Yep. I've thought all of this all along. Jmo.
Now, where did dylans phone last ping. What are the ping locations on dads phone since walmart?
Do we have any of this info?

I am afraid the searches aren't going to come up with much. Too many unaccounted hours between the time Dylan was seen on video at WalMart Sunday night and reported missing late Monday afternoon. He could have been taken hours away... :(

Thats what I think He could be anywhere!
I think they need a radius!

Yes! I just got an iphone 5 after reading the glowing reviews in these Dylan threads. : )

I don't care if she knows where I am, just as long as she doesn't know what I'm doing! *lol* jk

As a former AT&T CSR, I suggest that you highly educate your daughter on using the IPhone properly before letting her go with it.

I assisted WAY TOOO MANY parents whose children got their first IPhones and ran up GIGANTIC data bills. Not intentionally, they just didn't know it used data to run certain background programs or continued to use data if they didn't "sign out" of certain website apps.

Just a suggestion. :)

I apologize. I thought you misunderstood the question. I still say I did not see most of those things you posted though.

Roflmao! Hugs! No, I wasn't offended! I was just looking for an excuse to get off and go to sleep!

For the record, it takes a lot to offend me. I've never once been truly offended on a message board. Miffed, sure. I wasn't in the least miffed either.

Lol, that is the great thing about this board. You can agree with someone on one thread and think they are freaking nuts on another but it rarely carries over. I can only think of 2 posters that I carry a dislike of no matter what thread and one of my very favorite posters is someone that I once had a great dislike of but she won me over. We might not all agree but we all want the same thing!

She has an ipod, and we have unlimited data. So, do I still need to do anything? I'd feel kinda silly educating her, since she's had an ipod for so long, and I just got my iphone. TIA!!

Makes no sense whatsoever.

Why would Dylan & his friends want to meet so early anyway?

School was out for a week so why in the heck did they want to get up so early Monday morning?
We don't know what they planned to do either.

Dylan played baseball so why didn't he take his baseball glove to his dad's?

Since DR needed a ride to Bayfield and it was prearranged that he would leave with his dad in the morning, I wonder if MR had Dylan change his plans the night before so he'd be out of the house when Dylan disappeared?

bbm I wondered this too. I wondered if that early time was made after the night before got canceled. iirc Dylan was suppose to get dropped off the night he got there. iirc Dad canceled that. I wondered if it was Dad's suggestion to the morning drop off on the way back to town for the Lawyer appt. jmo

Oh that's so true. We are with AT&T and are one of the few lucky enough to be grandfathered into the unlimited plan.

No, I know.. I meant which specific wooded areas, trails, near which small lakes, nearby any abandoned shacks or property, etc.

I think his phone is in that lake tho!

Ditto! One of my favorite posters was posting on this case quite a bit. I hate it when we are on different sides, like now on this case. Because I feel we both make good arguments and it forces me to second guess my whole thought process at every step!

I have deep respect for everyone here on Websleuths, even when certain posters might annoy me some days. ( you know who you all are;))

From the posts I've read so far - do I have this right?

If he sent texts to DR and waited for an answer before checking with the friends, he is guilty and sending texts to cover it up.

If he had gone directly to check with the friends, he's guilty and knew he wouldn't answer a text

If he waited to call the police, he was guilty and working on covering his tracks

If he had called them right away, he's guilty and already knew he was dead

If he avoids the press, he's guilty and doesn't want people to realize it (or doesn't care)

If he talks to the press, he's guilty and just wanting attention for himself

If he ignores ER, he's guilty and just being cold and unhelpful

If he talks to ER, he's guilty and killed him to get her back into the area

If he says he passed the LDT, he's guilty and lying about it

If he says his LDT was inconclusive, he's guilty and lied about it during the test

If he stays away from the searches, he's guilty and being uncooperative

If he helps with the searches, he's guilty and wants to be around to hide evidence.

:waitasec:

You forgot one:
If he didn't comment on the LDT, then he failed and is guilty.

Let me preface this by saying my comment below is not said in any sort of mod/admin context at all, only as a poster concerned about Dylan. :)

I just think the above observatons are painted with a VERY broad brush and not fair to those who are still sitting on the fence. :fence: I am one of those. I haven't seen many people with their minds 100% made up about who is responsible...just folks voicing their opinions and concerns about what we know to date. I have no idea what happened to Dylan or who is responsible BUT I do like reading other's opinions and observations. It makes me think and consider things I may not have thought of before. That is sleuthing, isn't it?

It seems like so many are defensive about the dad even being considered as possibly being responsible - or in the alternative, others seem offended when challenged about their passionate observations of MR. We're not all going to agree. That is a fact. It is not about being right or wrong. Often it is just best to "agree to disagree" respectfully. I haven't seen anything to convince me one way or the other....yet. Maybe we should all try to open our minds to all possiblities and work together a little better? Just a suggestion for your consideration. :)

Didn't I read early on dads phone was shut off after 8 pm, right after Dylan's? I know I read it. I just don't know if it was a hypothesis or fact.

If you have unlimited data, you shouldn't have any problems unless she's addicted to youtube or another streaming site and leaves it open 24/7. You could hit the 5% mark and get tethered if that happens.

I'd just show her how to tell if the program is still running by looking at the home screen. Other than that, she should be good.

I always suggested unlimited data for teens.
I think expecting them to watch their data usage is asking a bit too much of them. I can't keep up with my own!! LOL..
