But then when I look at the surrounding sentences, it seems to be in context of
him possibly being 'abducted' on the way home from mcdonalds.

Lieutenant Ed Phippen of the La Plata County Sheriff's Office said it is now a criminal investigation with the belief that whatever happened was out of Dylan's control or ability to get out.

Dylan's parents also participated in Saturday's search. Mark Redwine, Dylan's father, was the last one to see his son. Redwine took a lie detector test and it was found inconclusive, which could mean a number of things.

Lt. Phippen said that they have not ruled anyone out as a suspect.

IMO. They are trying to squeeze dad into coming back in,to take the polygraph again, so he can be ruled out.

Maybe the charger broke?

Broke isn't the word, but "wore out".

Back in the day when I had those flip phones I treated them like crap... I'd grab the phones out of the plug while it was charging, the charger wire always got stretched and tangled, eventually the charger wouldn't fit properly in the phone due to wear and tear.

I doubt this strongly.

But what's one more highly unlikely idea thrown into the mix.

Wow, what coincidence. Talk about having a bad day. I would bet the odds of having a phone wear out on the very day someone goes missing would be more than astronomical.

If Dylan died in MR's truck or home, wouldn't cadaver dogs have alerted? There are probably some conditions under which they won't alert, but I'm not an expert on the subject, so I'm wondering. TIA

In my opinion. Dylan's flight was not on time. Dad is angry and agitated drinks. Gets agitated with dylan when he says he wants to b with friends. They fight on the ride home. Dad grabs the phone and throws it off a bridge in to water or smashes it. They fight. He strikes dylan and dylan dies. Dad gets rid of dylan before they ever get home. He stages the couch and blankets. He covers his tracks with alibis the next day. Time of murder after Walmart and after mcd's. dad has all night to dispose of a body.

Hopefully, they tested the spoon and cereal bowl for DNA....IMO, that would prove if Dylan was ever there .... or not

at approx 3:06 into the tape he says "he *was* the light of my life" and "he *meant* everything to me"

I know we shouldn't read too much into people speaking of Dylan in past tense but I can't help myself in this case.

Another List here:
Been on TV/print media all over CO
Been on TV/print media all over NM
Print media in AZ
Print media in UT
Talked about on HLN (cable) - Nancy Grace and JVM - several times
Good Morning America
CBS - print media
Flyers all over the place
I took flyers to the I-40 and 1-25 truck stops and asked them to be handed out to the truckers.

What else can we do? Another list:

The local media is great - TV, print - CO/NM/AZ/UT
GMA was about 45 seconds - good, could be better, I think it was just the one morning
NG and JVM are exposure, always good, but really complete garbage and not a source for facts, quite the opposite but still- exposure

It's all very, very disjointed. Unclear details, questionable statements by LE, timelines all over the place, contradictory quotes from sources in this MSM article and that MSM article written day to day.

I've been forwarding Dylan's missing poster to all of my contacts since the beginning. None of them have heard his story. All mostly on the East Coast all the way from Maine to Florida. I've asked them to print and post wherever they can and to please keep passing it on. I've received several replies asking what happened and when I try to explain I just stumble, try to summarize and get them to help. A few of my more diligent friends have checked out the links I send and they're confused about the inconsistencies.

They need LE, family to be out in front with the facts... getting the DAD issue OUT OF THE WAY... if he is not involved.... NG and JVM won't focus on this story for very long if it doesn't have the sensational element unless hopefully they're already interested in contuining to cover sweet Dylan.

CNN, Anderson Cooper- reliable, they'll report, they'll stay on it, they'll investigate. Dateline, 20/20, 48 Hours, All of those morning shows- stay on them to stay with the story, AMW when it comes back on air if Dylan is still missing, PEOPLE magazine, AOL, Yahoo, Court TV or whatever it's called now does a "Missing Kids in America" segment, get his face and story out to newspapers and print media in markets across the country... I've been writing a couple editors at local papers asking if they would consider running a story (we're on the other side of the country), billboards

I could go on.. but I won't...

I just think if LE is focused on MR they might not want this to go big and their hesitancy to speak on the record or officially is speaking volumes.

The main reason I think he could have hitchhiked is that it was mentioned a few times by friends and family. Dylan's friends in Bayfield said that he might have hitchhiked down there, MR seemed to think that he could have done it, and ER specifically said that she talked to Dylan about not hitchhiking, which makes me think that he's either done it in the past or talked about it.

I would like to know if he has hitchhiked before. That's one question I would like the parents to answer. I have a feeling that they may not want to answer it.

IMO this is a possibility. I have read over and over that it is still normalized in this area of the US. There is a reason it's become thought of as unsafe imo.

People rule it out bc it's not their cultural norm, but our cultural norm is not entirely relevant. Jmo

Ten pages? I give up. Can someone recap the last 10 pages for me ?
T I A ! :)

This is where I am, I am not convinced it was MR- but if it were, I am almost more inclined to premeditation. Unless I hear evidence that suggests "heat of the moment" forensics. JMO, but heat of the moment would mean cadaver hits and/or blood and/or skin scrape on the corner of a coffee table. Nail scratch on Dad's arm. Or similar forensics in car. Something. JMO.

Contrary to popular belief, I've not ruled out MR in the court of my own head. ;)

lol.. I like this, "court of my own head"..lol..yep my personal "court of my own head" is in recess at the moment pending new evidence entered into the court record..;)..lol

I called Tricia to make sure she was very clear about that the info probably came from Elaine when she was on the NG show. She understood and in her words, "Okay, so we have to take that with a big grain of salt as it has not been confirmed by anyone else."

I thought reporters needed two independent sources unless it was a quote and the source was known.

If you haven't read every thread, you may not be aware that Dylan's mother and brother also referred to him in the past tense in some of their early interviews, also.

All LE said was they did both take polys, we will not discuss the results ~
But then they proceeded to research his house, seize the trucks, etc.
So.............

I wondered if Mom talked to Dylan about it just because she knew other kids do it. Maybe CR even did it. But not necessarily because Dylan had done it.

As for the friends, well I'm sure they've all heard the horror stories, and I wonder who mentioned hitchhiking first. Did MR say something to them about he thought Dylan had hitched a ride to Bayfield? Or did the friends themselves initiate the idea? I'd love to ask them that.

Oh, ITA, I don't believe it for a second myself. Can you imagine. I'd still love to hear MR's account of what he last knew about Dylan's phone that Sun night since was off so early.
