I don't often agree with Mark Klass and tonight I'm as far away from agreeing with him as ever.

All fathers do not act like he did when his daughter was kidnapped. As far as I'm concerned MR is not at all acting like Ayla's biological father who is a poor excuse for a human being! (definitely my opinion)

I totally agree. I was really disappointed. Well, when all is said and done, we'll see if he was right.

AFAIK the only "fact" we have is that both parents took a LDT, and that they are not going to release the results.

As a verified paralegal I am going to chime in here.

I agree, for the most part. During the early stages like this, almost all family members are asked to take polygraphs. They are an investigative tool. LE uses them to rule out family members so they can move past the family & shift the focus elsewhere. Almost never are the results released publicly, especially if the results are inconclusive or they fail. That is kept under wraps. Rarely are they even released to anyone other than the person that took the poly and even then, sometimes they are not told. If they are released, it is usually to say that someone passed to take the heat off of the person.

In this case, I do believe that LE told ER that she passed. I suspect that ER being so far from the scene and aware of her ex's past history, begged to know if he had been given one and the results. I think they told her that the results were inconclusive and he was being asked to take another one.

I don't know any of that for a fact, it is just my professional opinion based on experience of things I have seen before.

I found this link... is this the one that you're referring to?

Information he received from the boy's friends suggests that Dylan was hitchhiking when he disappeared, Redwine said.

"It sounds to me like he's not even in the area," he said.

He said he is concerned that a stranger could have picked up the teen and abducted him.

Bless your heart no that's not the one, the one I saw LE stated that his friends had told them about the the hitch hiking and that they had talked to his friends "multiple" times. Sorry, it's time for me to leave.

I have all the respect in the world for this man and his loss for his daughter Polly but the cases are in no way similar. Sorry but that is how I feel. jmo

It is not just Polly. The man has worked with hundreds (if not thousands) of families who children have been missing. Actually, I was quite surprised by his reaction. Marc almost always defers to the parents and is protective of them. One that comes to mind immediately is Billie Dunn. She was getting ripped all over the media and publicly, yet he has remained a staunch defender of her. It was not a popular stance he took. I trust his intincts. He has seen too much for me to not take his opinion very seriously.

BBM.

Do we know that for a fact? Did the reporter say that he got that information from watching Mrs. Redwine on Nancy Grace?

Thanks.

It wasn't ever anywhere else besides there. LE never said so, Mark never said so, Mark's friends never said so. So where else could it have come from???

he really said that....I forgot

That is a really odd thing to say.

Wow. It sounds to me like he knows "what area" he is in.....

As I said earlier, it could have come from anywhere - I for one don't know and refuse to assume! For all I know, the reporter has a cousin who works as a waitress in a diner and overheard 2 cops talking about it. That's just one hypothetical possibility.

I agree. Just another very odd statement by MR.

MR said he first drove to Vallecito to see if Dylan was at a friend's house there. My question is does LE have any street video of this happening? Seems weird he would drive there when Dylan was supposed to go to friends in Bayfield. *IF* MR is involved, I wonder if he could have driven that way to dispose of something before heading to Bayfield? I don't see the reason for checking Vallecito? Any why not call before driving to those places?

I thought he went there first because it was within walking distance, and nobody had mentioned hitchhiking to him yet.

The boys said Dylan wasn’t shy about hitching rides.

ETA: 3 boys interviewed by the DH

To me there is a difference between 'hitching rides' and 'hitch hiking'. I think of 'hitching rides' as asking a neighbor or a friends brother or someone at least semi known for a ride vs. standing on the road with your thumb out and taking a ride from a stranger. I could be wrong of course.

Well, if & when you come back, if you could help me narrow it down I'd like to include this in the timeline if it's not already there, and I don't have that about "multiple" times and think it's important to add! Next time I see you on here maybe you can help me out then. Have a good night.

Ransom, do you have a link to where Dylan lived off CR 223? I want to add this to the timeline. THANK YOU!

I think someone already put it on a map in the link's thread.

Thank you for saying this.

I've also found him to be protective of parents and he's got a solid feel for these situations.

However, the child is the priority.
