MR said he first drove to Vallecito to see if Dylan was at a friend's house there. My question is does LE have any street video of this happening? Seems weird he would drive there when Dylan was supposed to go to friends in Bayfield. *IF* MR is involved, I wonder if he could have driven that way to dispose of something before heading to Bayfield? I don't see the reason for checking Vallecito? Any why not call before driving to those places?

I agree!

This is one statement that has bothered me. Has anyone confirmed this, or are we just taking ER's word for it. She originally said "You know, I`m not sure. I know he`s been asked to" She then said when asked if she knew if he had taken one, " I do not at this time, no." She also said that "No, I don`t think he failed a polygraph. You know, I don`t know the specifics behind that. I don`t think he necessarily failed. But you know, I don`t have any information on that. So it`s real -- it`s real tough for me to answer that question."

When Nancy G asked her if she hadn't told the producers that he had failed a LDT, she said that she'd never said that, and then decided that she knew he had taken one. When pushed, she said she believed was inconclusive.

That's been the basis for all of the "knowledge" about him failing a LDT or his results being inconclusive.

To me, it is a process of elimination. LE has already saidf that BOTH parents took a polygraph. So we know dad took one. And so he either passed, failed or it was inconclusive.

If he passed, I am pretty sure he would have leaked that to the media. Don't you think he would have said so already?

But since he has never said he passed, and has had many chances to say that, as he has been asked about it by reporters already, then imo he was inconclusive. [ or maybe even failed]

I thought he went there first because it was within walking distance, and nobody had mentioned hitchhiking to him yet.

The friend in Vallecito lived within walking distance of MR's home? Do you have a link for that?

Well, the show was great. It was nice to hear Marc's take on things.

It was. I usually agree with everything he says, only time I didn't, was when he had Billy Dunns back. Even in retrospect, I was on the fence quite a while on her specifically in that case too.

I have a link to my mind, but I'm afraid I can't share it.

Dylan taking fly fishing classes, went fishing with his friends, being with his friends jumping off rocks into water, hanging out with ATV's with trailers attached to them, having a baseball picture with him in a uniform, appearing to be on a baseball team weren't addressed or considered that MAYBE he was interested "outdoorsy" things???

And EVERYTHING <modsnip> Elaine said is gospel. Like she wouldn't have an ax to grind. Sure. Ok. <wait a minute, is that a choir of angels I hear singing?>

It wasn't ever anywhere else besides there. LE never said so, Mark never said so, Mark's friends never said so. So where else could it have come from???

Dear Seajay,

I don't know "Mark" or his friends, so I can't say whether or not they "never said so." Just giving it a few moments thought, I came up with:

A source within the police department/the FBI/CBI?

From someone Mr. Redwine confided in?

From Mr. Redwine himself?

From someone who overheard Mr. Redwine speaking about it?

From one of Mr. Redwine's sons with whom he met?

Let me think some more on it.

Thank you.

http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20121124/NEWS01/121129756/Mystery-lingers-over-missing-teen

The boys said Dylan wasn’t shy about hitching rides.

ETA: 3 boys interviewed by the DH

Not trying to be difficult, but in "teen speak", "hitching a ride" is not synonymous with "hitchhiking". The first one refers to catching a ride with people you sorta know, your cousins' best friend's mom, the guy 3 doors down who is heading in the same direction, etc. If that is in fact a quote from Dylan's friends about his activities, more clarification is needed to determine exactly what they were referring to. just trying to be clear on the timeline here...

MR got a criminal defense attorney just a couple days after his home was thoroughly searched & vehicles impounded....

is that correct?

No, I don't actually. You're entitled to make your assumptions about things, and I'm entitled not to. I make assumptions about other things, but sometimes I choose not to.

My thought on that was because he had a friend there and since Bayfield was too far to walk, he decided to burn time with this other friend until later?

I did not have all my kid's friend's phone numbers. They had too many friends.

It's been three weeks since Dylan's been heard from :(

Three weeks too long.

*eta: maybe I should clarify this by saying "independently" heard from since he "went missing" the next morning

I cannot imagine that Elaine just made that up. She would destroy her credibility with LE by doing so.

??

No really, if this was stated somewhere I'd like to read it. I have always wondered where the friend in Vallecito lived and just how he thought Dylan might have gotten there. If he's within walking distance it might make a little more sense that MR would check there before heading to Bayfield.

That is when we were made aware of it.

I'm going to give myself a self imposed TO before I get a real one. :o Hasta!!

I'd like to know that as well because everything I've seen mapped out has MR living quite a distance from anyone...even someone living in Vallecito looked to be a bit more than "walking distance".

hitching rides is hitching rides per his friends. Safe way to get where you want to go? :sigh:
