And if you have children under the age of 16 in your car then it iS charged as a criminal offense, as child abuse.

http://www.laszlolaw.com/the-one-two-punch-of-dui-and-child-abuse
"If the driver is stopped and arrested for an alcohol-related driving offense, the prosecutor will likely charge child abuse as well."
The tag-along child abuse charge creates a particularly difficult situation for the driver for a number of reasons. First, the impact of a child abuse charge carries more onerous consequences for some groups of people than the DUI charge that is at its root. Second, although many drivers will be able to successfully negotiate with the prosecutor for the dismissal of the child abuse charge as part of a plea bargain, the mere fact of being charged with child abuse will generally result in a person’s permanent placement on a statewide database of offenders against children. Third, because of unique and strict laws relating to DUI cases, even drivers who ultimately win dismissal or acquittal of every offense charged in their cases will be unable to erase the reference to a child abuse arrest from their public record.

BBM: Likely. It wasn't.

In order to get a PO with terms of ER not driving the kids AT ALL, MR would most likely have had to prove that Elaine was guilty of driving drunk with the kids in the car.

snipped and BBM

re: "prove" - That is not true. It is simply not true.

I am a paralegal and I am not going to sit up to referee a bunch of bickering over stuff like this. Stop claiming things that are not factual.

More importanty, what does ANY OF THIS HAVE TO DO WITH FINDING DYLAN?

Stop the darn "right fighting" now.

Woops just read a bit further and found this post - this is what happens when you post from the other side of the globe!

It happens my Oz friend. Love your country. Had THE best time at the Team Penning comps there in 2010. Lovely people. GREAT horses. Good memories.

Sleep well folks.

Please move on from the Protective Orders and "Elaine" discussion.

Do something to find Dylan.

Heck, go back to sleuthing the family tree.

Just move on to something else because this is not going anywhere good.

I'm sorry Beach. I think this is my fault that you got awoken. I was trying to correct the record with my opinion and I set people off. I'll shut up and go to bed. Tomorrow I will do better and just hush. Deal?

I don't think he would be "featured" in Georgia. The 4 Corners region has videos and print media about him.

Alert via internet? Like what? There is no Amber Alert since he doesn't meet the criteria.

Yahoo had this from the one time I went to Yahoo. I don't use that though.

Yeah. Exactly. That's the point. <modsnip>. Probably just to appease MR. If there was a true concern, there would have been more actions taken.

Um... isn't "no drunk driving with kids in the car" (or at all for that matter) kind of a given?? IMO.

Sorry mods if I said anything inappropriate. I have no idea if these charges or concerns are accurate, or proven. I was posting/speaking more generally about the alleged charges. I don't know what happened... wish I did. :( and wish I could help find Dylan.

a commenter on a news story mentioned that MR is unaccounted for between 11AM-4:30PM on Monday. I never realized that. Has anyone heard of MR's whereabouts or activities between 11-4?

:what:

What about the ' friend' whose house he went to see if Dylan was there?
That has not been verified? A nameless, faceless friend he just said he
went to check but maybe that friend doesn't remember MR coming by ?
yikes !

Oh no :( I'm so sorry. That's horrible.
My nephew in 1st grade had a classmate die
last year at the dentist's office just getting
routine cleaning under ' gas' anesthesia.
Crazy stuff happens. So sad for that family .
I'll be thinking of you . :(

WHAT??? That's really hinky!

I'm trying my best to understand the reasoning behind someone thinking it's hinky to get back with an ex. Can you (or someone) explain the reasoning behind thinking this is suspicious? (I don't get it.)
